I would like to see this as DLC. Bikes were in GTHD after all so i reckon they're quite close already. I bet they do it in house for fun.

I bet they have a bunch of cars and bikes they only use in the office.

I would also like to add that, even though I voted for DLC, I would also like to see bikes in GT6.
👍

Why not put them in and have limited participation like the Ferrari F1 cars (or put PP caps on career races)? A properly done Tourist Trophy would be nice as a separate release, but it would be rather easy to put the bike models/physics in a GT game.

And my personal all-time favourite, imagine why:

👍 Motorbikes vs/with cars, my dream too ....

I'm dreaming with that too and as I just got GTPSP, and played on the awesome Costa di Amalfi and Citta di Aria courses, I just can immagine cars vs. bikes on that.

Scary. But DO WANT.

I love motorbikes, but I don't think PD could do it right without messing something up. Tourist trophy 2 would be a better Idea, only this time make the bikes handle realistically and not have the flickability of an oil tanker on an RC30.

The RC30 was a road bike built for homologation purposes so they could run their race bike in World Superbike Championship. It made 86 hp in the US. and 112 in EU and weighed in at about 192kg. or 420lb. ready to ride. Not up to par by today's standards in streetbikes. Probably did resemble a tank.

I agree as well as a lot of my streetbike riding friends that TT was pretty realistic for a game and still the game that ALL other streetbike games are judged by and none have come close ever since.

Some of the speeds are unrealistic in this video below because of racing soft tires, but that's just the same as gt5 where speeds and grip are unrealistic with the racing softs.

Either way watching this video has me searching the classifieds looking for an old ps2 again. I miss this game, been way too long. Wish I was buying a DLC or tt2 instead of looking to buy an old game system.

I'm well aware of what an RC30 is and if you were travelling at normal driving speeds you wouldn't be forced to take a certain line around a corner, because the bike was unable to turn fast enough and every bike in the game suffered the same problem to varying degrees (maybe it's RS I'm thinking of). The only motorbike game I ever played that was any way realistic was superbike TT.

When I find a cheap ps2 I'll give that bike a try and see what you are talking about. Not sure if you ride or not but entry speed and set up for the corner has a huge role in the line you take around a corner. Even in Gt5 the entry speed and corner speed dictates where you can place your car.

I've ALMOST shot off mountain roads because of coming in way to hot and not being able to lay down into the turn.

Seems we don't agree though and that is fine. It is open forum based on ones opinions.

Why dont you just buy moto gp or something if you wanna ride bikes?.

Because the motogp game is crap. TT is THE best bike racing game made to date. Best physics, best graphics, best everything. Motogp needs to dump the capcom crap and get PD to create their games.

The RC30 is a cracker of a bike for its time, love the vtwin races bikes. Explains why I ride the tank of all tanks, the Suzuki TL1000R :sly lol

Yeah I failed to say for it's time it was pretty awesome! That v4 has a knarley sound. I got my asphalt wings with a 93 900rr that had 95 smokin joe camel livery. Great bike.

You have a tl1000R huh? tanky and torquey!! fun bikes. All I have for streetbikes now is my cbr 600 stunt bike but looking to get on at least an 06 cbr1000rr but preferably the 08 or newer model in the next year.

GT, in general, has not done a single racing series correctly/properly, so to add ANOTHER form of motor racing is insane. It's not the right time. Not even close.

Just look at one facet of GT5: Premium dealerships. So many missing.

Then take into account the lack of other premium F1 cars, rally, etc. Bikes, stay away! :)

Agreed. Diversification is GT's biggest weakness. It's spread too thin and doesn't cover anything at all properly as a result.

That's the problem when there are 5+ million cooks stirring the same pot. ;)
GT will never again be as single-minded as it was in its first iteration; there's too much "potential" profit to worry about.

I find it amusing that motorcycles would be listed with F1, NASCAR, rally etc. as sub-disciplines, though. :D
(Also: where are the sidecar sims?! PD, you know what to do...)

That'll bridge the gap between 2 and 4 wheels and how about a sidecar coop mode where one player rides the bike and the other balances it by moving around (all within one screen), now there's a challenge not seen anywhere in any videogame.
Ofcourse that's too good to be true so it won't happen. :D

no moto please. no helicopters, jetfighters or speed boats as well

they tried moto in PGR4 and honestly never won me over.

i would rather PD focus on improving existing game rather than waste time/ressources figuring out how to add motorbikes

*snippety*

I almost didn't mention it, you see I've been entertaining the idea of making my own sidecar racing game with exactly such features; but it's probably (definitely) too much for my feeble mind to take on, and it would likely be terrible anyway. :dopey:

Honestly, it's a golden opportunity, if only more people were interested.

Haha some friends of mine and I would DIG that. That is something for Tourist Trophy 2 though.

Random thought here. Seems like the version of The Ring in TT (hills bumps etc) is more like the version of the ring we have in GT5 than the Gt4 version of the track. I could be way off here but maybe a TT 2 is in the works with better versions of the GT5 tracks for testing.

And consider this. IF PD can get 12 fast bikes racing together clean online with SMALL clearances around each other then I'm sure this will lead to better GT6 online racing.

Looking forward to the day of racing bikes online against other people controlling bikes. 2p battle on tt was epic but 1p against other people would be awesome.

I guess it's a niche, and with sidecar racing not being part anymore of the Moto GP circus for years (thanks a lot Bernie :grumpy:), it's not as well known today as a serious sport anymore.
I think it would be perfectly suitable for videogames (I would say perfect for the Kinect-function but that's another console...) as it would require 2 techniques being insync and how about this, potentionally 16 bikes online with 32 players!
But again, aside from a few weirdos like you and me, I don't see it being hugely popular unfortunately and therefor it probably won't be worth the investment.

Which is a shame.

It could be I'm getting riding spirits and TT mixed up, I only rented them as far as I can remember, but it wasn't only the RC30 had this problem. I Have ridden a good few bikes on the road and on track in real life. I probably had my RGV250 when that game was out. But it could be just a difference of opinion like you say.

Edit: For the guys looking for sidecar racing, it's in that superbike TT game that I mentioned earlier and you can drive around the whole Isle of man track too.

Oh you ment that RC30.. I was actually thinking of the RC51 and got them confused lol.

Yeah I love the TLR, had it 7 years and I'll never sell it. It's a fun bike to ride

"Gran Turismo 5 The Real Driving Simulator"
Not the real biking simulator.

So what? It could easily be within the same game but in a separate section, you now have GT-Life in the main menu, what if a TT-Life was added as optional DLC?

Exactly, like for the Ferraryi f1. If you take the bike, all AE also ride bikes.

No freaking way. This is a driving simulator, not a RIDING simulator. And if they really add bike DLC I swear I will freaking run over all those bloody bikes.

BIG YES !!! BIKES !!! you do not like.... you do not ride bikes. You like black or blu, white. red matt.... I do not telling you what to do!!! F... Y.. !!!!

You will have to catch them first. :-)
