Thanks for the reply Raudi.

I assume your monitors are approx at 35 degrees physically and hence why you have put your settings to match at 35 in the options.

However I've discovered the correct way is to double your physical degrees. So in your case try 70 degrees.

Also to confirm that Face Tracking does actually work in ARCADE but only "TIME TRIAL". It is quite good as well but I will cover in the review. Although I couldn't get it to work in "PRACTICE" within GT mode.

Regards audio the extra screens only have audio in menus not during the game, so audio just comes from the centre or Server PS3.

I wish Codemasters and EA began to offer Multiscreens for PS3 or X360 as having more games utilise it would increase the value for anyone considering such.

I totally agree with that sentiment, until then I'll be keeping my PC close to the Rig so I can flip between triple PS3 or Single PC with eyefinity configured to drive all three screens.

Now I've got all my Ps3's ready to go.. running a shakedown on the last one using remote racing mode :)

I've ordered a triple mount which I'll mod to work with the VR3 when it arrives (didn't like the VR 3 screen solution :nervous:) Hopefully I can get some work done on the rig again this weekend.

I'm looking forward to your report.

I'll bet Sony could make a bit of money if they sold a "starter" package with 3 PS3s, GT5, and 3 TVs...

I prefer IPS displays for gaming and specifically ordered (3) NEC EA231WMI ($260.99 @Amazon) for my Multi Monitor setup since it is a 1080P IPS monitor 👍

Been tweaking my Multi Monitor settings to work best for my setup and viewing distance:

Monitor Frame Border - 8%

Angle of Screen Curvature - 35

Adjust Angle of View - 80%

New Video (Lap 1 - Cockpit / Lap 2 - Bumper Cam)

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like a nice display to use for the setup. Very reasonable price for an IPS display. Although I have a playseat I'm probably going to set the monitors on my computer desk. That way I can make use of my ati 5850 in eyefinity.

Wish the monitor frames weren't so thick..

Your eyes will adjust and in no time you won't even notice the frames around the screen. Especially considering the huge enjoyment quotient. Of course with that said, you should always pick screen with the tiniest bezel and there are a lot of that on the market.

I'm about to do tri monitors 2x 42" and one 50" this weekend as soon as it's running I'll put up some pics and video, and any issues encountered.

Nice video...

I think that car is one of the cars with a graphics bug.
Ive found 3 so far that seem to show a clipping of what I think is the helmet supports on the drivers seat.

They appear on the outer screens with the FOV set to 100 and also at 95. So I set those cars to "Narrow" to avoid that issue.

At 80 FOV I found it was too close cutting too much from the view of some steering wheels.
Noticed on above video your wheel display was only visible under braking with that car as an example of what Im referring to.

It is worth tinkering with though as everyone will have their own preferences and some may want to see more of the wheel and others have a closer FOV.

* The FOV only effects the "Cockpit" view as well making no changes to other viewpoints

Latte my man! I need some help with my settings in GT5, just finished re-setting up my multi-screen setup :grumpy: grr! I am having some trouble getting it aligned just right.

Also for everyone I will be creating a DIY with a friend of mine on how to remove your screens from their bezel/case for a more multi-monitor/gaming friendly setup, and it looks so much better!

Man !!!!!

This is Awsome !!!

I dont that video at all :( His setup is bad, the car and way he chose to demostrate it with, and his driving.

I really think he should have showed some other car, I'm curious to see how it looks in the cockpit view.

And the angle of those monitors and the settings hes using make it look to warped and fish eye type. Surely there is a more natural looking setup.

You guys are in for a treat with the review. It's going to be very indepth going over all the perils of setup and contain more than 30 juicy images covering various factors, including the advantages and disadvantages.

Here is an early preview prior to me configuring the monitors correctly and still needs some tweaking.
Take note however this is all just on a temporary shelf unit in front of a Gamepod.

(The left monitor is new and has a different color output even with the same setings, this will be adjusted for the review)

Getting the alignment to be correct in photos can be tricky as your height/position alters the alignment.
Im going to try and get all the images used to be looking sweet.

ENJOY!!!

I'm also looking forward to this!

A 3 monitor setup is starting to look better every time I see these kind of pictures and videos. :)

Appreciate the responses guys, though I really enjoy messing around with these kind of things. So will do a worthy thread for it, having waited so long for this.

Is their a particular car or track someone wants to see?
First 6 people that pick a car each and 3 tracks mentioned goes in the review photos.

Oh and SHIRAKAWA the FOV for all other views except cockpit do not seem as adjustable.

I bit the bullet and picked up another PS3 and 2 more copies of GT5 and should have my triple screen up and running in a few hours.

Glad to hear setup works even better than in Forza 3 (hopefully now that T10 has some multi monitor competition from GT5 we will see it supported in Forza 4 as well!)

I'll definitely post some pics and help answer questions.

My Setup:

(3) PS3 | (3) NEC 23" LCD | Obutto Ozone | Fatanac PWTS w/CSP | Buttkicker | Spherex 5.1

how long did it take everyone else to see the cat lol

Please i have a question!
I want to do this so bad but my original setup is making it difficult to install the side monitors.
Does the side screen have to be extactly the same size as the centre screen?
Does the side screen have to point extactly at your point of view?
Can you adjust the view once the screens are fixed inplace?

Ok that was 3 questions :)
Below is a diagram of what i currently have (not fixed yet)

Thankyou's

Chuffed... lol yhea

I was really excited about the addition of the feature but hated having to re-build the screen setup. When I get home I will try and get in touch.

Well guys did more work on this last night, got some real cracking images which will be held for the report. Going to continue to add more over the weekend after a busy weeks work and think the review will be done on Sunday - Monday.

Past two nights have been around 3am :ouch:

Dont want to take control of this thread replying to everyone but will cover (in the report) some of the questions many of you have posted best I can.
Please others continue to chat and give your own experiences or opinions.

Heres a few to keep you lot hungry for more...

Track Intros are now so much more visually impressive.

Bonnet/Roof cam actually becomes quite enjoyable to use.

"Multiscreen" allows the usage of mirrors -
Highlighting how a "Single screen" in many situations does not make the driver aware of other cars is going to be covered in detail.
