who thinks championship is either gonna be denny jimmie or jeff :P

I think it's going to come down to a battle between Hamlin and Johnson for the championship. No offence to Jeff, but Hamlin and Johnson just look to be a step above everyone else at this early stage.

Awesome finish at Las Vegas in the Trucks race just now! Without spoiling anything, congrats to (the Vegas Trucks winner)! It was a great two-truck battle with less than four laps to go.

Slice your bread! The Nationwide winner was Joey Lagano at Dover. Who'll take the Cup win at Dover tomorrow afternoon? We'll see...

I was worried that when One HD delayed coverage for a day to air live gridiron that I would missing a bit. Guess I was wrong.

I know I always say that, but he's running too consistent not to get a win or two. I truly believe this is his year. I'm just concerned on how he'll run at Dega thats all.

But that's the thing. He HAS to win (I think at least 2) to have a chance. Just clicking off 2-5th place finishes won't do it. And, in the races he doesn't win, he still needs to finish top 5. And, he obviously needs to survive Talladega.

That's a lot to ask for in 7 races.

No, Carl Edwards proved it last year that finishing 2nd through 5th isn't good enough. He had a 4.9 average finish in the chase last year, but Stewart winning half the races equaled Carl and got him the title.

Jeff should be up there fighting for the title. He lost about 30 points at Chicago because of that throttle problem.

Guys quit focusing on the points to the leader for a second. We all know Gordon isn't going to win the championship when the 2, 11, and 48 are all running top 5 every week. Their consistency won't last 10 weeks in a row, there is no way.

Jeff is competitive every week and that is all he can do.

Be proud of this team for never giving up, that is how jeff got in the Chase in the first place.

He is only 23 points away from 4th place. The ground Jeff has made up on the rest of the Chasers in 2 weeks is astounding.

Here's the rundown on this weekend's action:

* Joey Lagano wins Nationwide at Dover.
* Nelson Piquet Jr. won the Truck race on Saturday night.
* Brad Keselowski (Bad Brad!) won Cup at Dover.

Three down, seven to go. Talladega is next in the 2012 Chase for the Cup. There are no friends in the championship, but you can call Talladega as a bonding exercise, because you need friends here to help you get through the pack when running at full song on this 2.66-mile oval. Most importantly- avoid getting tangled up in "The Big One" if (and likely when) it happens.

Trucks and Cup this weekend at Talladega. No Nationwide action- they go back to work next weekend at Charlotte under the lights on October 12.
