Yeah like Miller-lit, 5-Time, Smoke, Rocket etc. They could also put the # of the car on the plate instead of usually putting it on the taillights.

Or maybe having their Twitter link on the back and have the plate say, "Follow me".

Danica has been confirmed as a full-timer for long, while Vickers, Ragan and Smith still don't seem to have a seat.

These kinds of things make me wish she'll flop completely and be fired after the season. This must be a joke.

Sometimes you gotta go with the $$.

I'm sure Danica brings her sponsor $$ with her.

Go Daddy !!

And the other drivers' sponsors don't bring any $$?

Sometimes the effect of money in racing leagues is disgusting.

I agree with the whole "$$ > driver skill" thing. Though I do argue that Ragan does not deserve a full time seat (his horrid seasons with Roush, only highlight was a win at the Daytona night race last year).

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how terrible Danica does next year, she'd probably still keep her ride at SHR. Why keep a driver who can't even crack the top 25 in Hendrick Equipment? That's just poor driving, and by now a rookie in that kind of equipment would have at least had a top 10 finish.

How many drivers bring their own sponsor with them wherever they go?

I can think of only two, and that's Danica Patrick and Paul Menard. No matter what team they sign with, their sponsor dollars follow only the driver.

Tony Stewart would be an idiot to turn down a huge paycheck from GoDaddy, especially while he's having trouble lining up reliable sponsorship for Ryan Newman's #39 car and his own #14 car.

Even Matt Kenseth and Joey Logano couldn't hold on to their current sponsors, which is why they are changing teams next season.

Money talks. If drivers like David Ragan, Brian Vickers, Regan Smith, etc had sponsor dollars following them around, they would already have full-time seats for next season. No owner is going to turn away guaranteed high-dollar sponsorship money, no matter how bad the driver bringing it might be.

If Danica ever wins a race in anything, it'll be a sure sign she was abducted by aliens the night before that race only to be replaced by a clone with real driving talent. On the subject of Talladega, I expect the same 🤬 as the other plate races this year, follow the leader until 15 to go then complete and utter idiocy.

I cleaned up the links and quotes. I had no idea you ever said to PM you but that was also many pages later in that "oh oh ludicrous" thread. You should have actually sent me a pm.

Regardless you had a year to save a measly $20.00 which you obviously already spent many times judging by your posts in the "what have you purchased" thread. Hopefully this is a learning lesson to you. If you pay or not, thats what everyone would be interrested in seeing. If I recieve a payment, I will let everyone know. It might help you redeem at least a little of the lost respect.

BTW I have NEVER been to this thread. I dont even watch Nascar. Another uset sent me here in response to your post about the bet.

I'm just paying to get everyone, including you, off my back. It's not admitting to anything.

I'd like to know the last time I posted in the Purchases thread, because it's been quite a while. The most money I've spent recently is getting my apartment, and it comes at the cost of voluntarily repossessing my car, so take that however you want.

Edit: I would also like to point out that I DID in fact tell him to PM me. He just never saw the post which was not buried in that Ludicrous thread, but in fact on the last page.

Which was after this post.
Does the fact that I'm voluntarily repossessing my car in the next couple weeks make you feel better? I don't have the money, so deal with it.
Along with at least 10 other replies saying you were not going to pay (which I had every quote above and deleted out of courtesy after you asked me to delete them). So I said heck with it and left that thread and dropped the subject. YOU should have sent me a PM. Not waiting until 3 pages later to say I need to send you a PM.
You are only putting your foot deeper into your own mouth with each reply. Probably crapping shoe laces at this point. Seriously its just way beyond sad the amount of excuses you have come up with when you could have easily paid after saving up for an entire year. Then to PM me with ANOTHER excuse.

I am out of here until monday so enjoy your weekend.

Hmm the new cars look smaller to me. And it looks like the back of the Camarys look different too.

Good to know the racing will get better.

I hope the Chevrolets overcome the temp issues.

Danica won't win a race in Cup.

Ever.

I'll put money on that too.

I'm not putting my money on that. You know what I'm betting on that she won't win a race? All her sponsor money. Watch me get rich, boys :sly:

I'm pretty sure they are more boxy in the rear than before it seems, it almost looks like they took some out of the rear. The window looks bigger so that might be what throws it off.

I always seem to be in the minority in regards to Danica Patrick compared to most others. Even when I first started caring about Danica- stemming from even her Toyota Atlantic days, and even in her 2005 IndyCar campaign; I think she is plenty capable of winning races. One of the reasons why I respect Danica is because in IndyCar, she did two things consistently- finish races and finish well. Danica won a grand total of one race in IndyCar. If she can win in IndyCar, she can doggone well win in NASCAR. I don't look at Danica at just camera fodder. She can win races. Maybe not dominate, but she can win. There is racing talent behind her star power. Who's to say she can't reel off a win or two in NASCAR, let alone in NASCAR's premier category of racing? So I'd give her a chance. Are they bringing her up too fast? Maybe. Still- I think she's not going to go away from NASCAR without winning at least one race.

Suppose to be sometime this month.

Nice, looking forward to it. Thanks for the response. 👍

Speaking of Danica. I don't believe, this has been posted here yet. (and apologies if it has been)

Danica to be paired with Ryan Newman's crew next year
DOVER, Del. -- Plans are in place for Danica Patrick to be paired with crew chief Tony Gibson and the rest of Ryan Newman's pit crew when she moves into the Sprint Cup Series fulltime in 2013.

Gibson said on Saturday at Dover International Speedway that he and his team have been asked to make the switch. He was unsure who would work with Newman.

This will give Patrick one of the garage's more veteran crews.

Joey Logano can dominate in Nationwide, yet he only has two career Sprint Cup wins, one of which was a rain-shortened race.

If Danica can't run top ten in NW, she is going to run miserably in Sprint Cup. Even if she had the potential to do it one day (I don't think she does), she sure as hell isn't ready for it yet. She needs the experience of two to three more full seasons in Nationwide first, but her ego and sponsor won't let that happen.

My issue with Danica nation or the things around here is she is being forced for a dollar to move up the ladder. We have other females with better talent in NASCAR but no backing (I'm not saying Danica doesn't have any but still learning alot).

There is another crossover who I feel has more talent with less time because he listens and applies. Travis Pastrana gets alot less hype but he will race anything he can to get better and doing it the hard long way but the way to learn!

According to Speed Channel, Nationwide will NOT return to Montreal in 2013. Here's the article on SPEED:

http://nascar.speedtv.com/article/nns-circuit-gilles-villeneueve-off-in-2013/

When Speed asked what road courses would you replace Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve with, I answered Mosport. I even made mention of Miller Motorsports Park and Virginia Internatational Raceway. What road course would YOU replace with Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve with for Nationwide?
