Yeah, but Gateway International raceway is also egg shaped and i think that it has a road course inside it. Pheonix has a road course variation that the Grand am cars race on. Thats why I'd choose Gateway and Phoenix.
Gateway is flat. Darlington is not, much faster, and you HAVE to run near the top. It's crazy difficult.

Before Sony starts teasing us to death, I decided to take advantage of both licenses we now see and created my own commercials. Enjoy the NASCAR version here:

PD needs to get the gun right. NASCAR does not use a single locking nut system like DTM, F1, ALMS, etc. They use the old school 5 lug system like on a real car. Personally, I'd like NASCAR to go to a single nut system, it certainly would help with safety. And safety is a big deal with NASCAR.

I would love to see NASCAR allow one of the top teams take a Sprint Cup car to the Ring and put a proper setup under these beastly cars. The COT is not an easy car to drive and that's on purpose, to help create closer racing.

Actually if you pause the video at 0:14, you should notice that the gun isn't going in the middle, its off to the right ,which indicates they already have that figured out.

Can someone do a screen cap of the gun before it hits the lugs? I can't pause it at the precise moment to see why type of gun it is. Whether it's a small lug gun or if it has a big head on it.

Why not all of them give us a full season.

+1 I agree that NASCAR should go to a one lug system but they wont I a think they never will due they will stay close as possible to stock production car in format. They wont change over 50 years of racing, the only major change was with the COT.

Hey racecar im not a huge fan of nascar, but after those videos i would be first in line to drive those race cars!!! 👍 nice video's

In my opinion every type of motorsports races are welcome in GT5.

Its always cool to have some new diferents motorsports, Nascar will be a excellent experience.

Awesome man. Those are from a pre-race show Red bull did before the Moto GP US Grand Prix.

If they have the full NASCAR license, shouldn't they include the Nationwide and Truck series cars? At the worst I would like to see them added on with DLC

Also, doesn't NASCAR own Grand Am now? I hope we see DPs and the vast variety of GT cars Grand Am has

Also, I would like to see the NASCAR championship at least use the real NASCAR points system, and not 10-8-6 etc

This is very exciting

NASCAR does own GA but that odesn't mean that they are under the same license. Look at the way cars are licensed, we have had Audi and VW in the series forever but don't have Lamborghini, Porsche or Bugatti which are owned by the same company(yet).

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Grand Am Rolex in the game. NASCAR is my favorite motorsport, but GA is probably in my top 5. How epic would it be if we could have 43 car NASCAR races, 20 car F1 races, and 34 car multi-class Rolex races?1 Epiccccc!!!!!

The smartest move NASCAR could make would be to let Gran Turismo feature all it's series, Sprint Cup, Nationwide, and the Craftsmantrucks as well as Grand Am.

GT4 increased the popularity of the Nurburgring 24 and the Le mans 24 only logical to conclude that GT5 would incresase the awareness and popularity of Grand Am.

Right now we will have proper cars to race at 4 of the 5 possible 24 hour races in GT5.

Lemans 24 (chicaned and no chicane) = prototypes and GT cars
Nurburgring 24 = GT2 cars
Spa 24 = GT1 cars
Daytona 24 = Daytona prototypes, which we dont have

We need Daytona Prototypes for the Daytona 24 hours. PD mentioned the Daytona 24 hour race in GT5P, so they are aware of it and the cars it uses

They have only shown off the COTs just to say "hey we have NASCAR". Maybe they will but I'd wait till we get an indication of it. I also like the idea of having the DPs on game.

If I remember correctly, Porsche isn't part of VAG but owns a controlling stake of it.

Oh yes, Daytona 24 on GT5 would be (for the moment at least on consoles ) the end to all virtual Daytona 24 hour races.

A multi-class Rolex 24 @ Daytona, with a full field, or just about ANY NASCAR event with a full 43 car field Online would quite honestly make me wet myself, and I probably wouldn't care at all! lol

Sorry if this has been asked of you guys, but it just popped into my head and I want to ask your opinions.

How do you think they're going to categorize the NASCAR series cars? Do you think they'll be under their respective brands or in one company labeled "NASCAR"? And for the cars that are essentially the same models, do you think that it'll be one car, but with the normal color selection screen replaced by a team selection?

Personally I think the cars will be available from the manufacturer's dealership even though the only real difference between the CoTs is the engine

I believe each car will be separate with different paint schemes

Off topic, but I really hope we get Nationwide, the trucks and Grand Am. I can't say that enough.

I think they will be under there normal manufacturer just with a Stock Car in the name. Although I hope Roush is a dealer as there Mustangs kick the Shelby Mustangs 🤬.

I strongly believe they'll do it by manufacterer as they have done every other series and will possibly have the team colors available(although one hopes to have a solid black one for making custom liveries). I just can't see a dealership just with the team owners names.

Something very important to these cars

PD must get the SOUND right. If they do, these cars will be epic
While I was watching the trailer from my PS3 on my TV, I think I heard some realistic sounds in the background during the pitstops part in the trailer (minus when the 24 car came out the pits).

Are you talking about the sounds of cars passing by on the track while they were pitting? If so then it sounded great.

Though that just made me think of another fear. What if the overly loud wind noises in GT5P return in GT5 and unrealisticly swallow up the car sounds as they pass by? :indiff:

Also, the idea that there is hardly any sound effects for the cars in the trailer, and shockingly at times the cars are muted makes me believe the E3 video was put together by PD months ago. That could explain the missing engine sounds and the limited driver/car selection shown.

Thats exactly what I was talking about. I didn't take notice of it until I downloaded the trailer from the PSN store and watched it and it was spectacular. Seems like (at least with the passing sounds) they've got the stock cars right so far.

I highly doubt its gonna do that. I could clearly hear the Ferrari F2007 pass by me with little wind noise so I'm not convinced it'll be like Prologue.

Which may indicate that they only showed what they had at the time(and there may be more then meets the eye). Likewise, GT May be alot more closer to release the november. I'll go as far as say September or maybe August just for insanely wishful thinking, but thats me.
