(initially responding to Post #187)

Speaking of liveries, I studied one image. There are two different DuPont liveries in two different colors, and two different Napa liveries. I don't think we'll 43 cars. However, 16 is still quite a lot of cars (can you imagine just six stock cars in GT4?). Chances are, we'll see only certain cars.

I mentioned more on this NASCAR (and WRC) deal in my Blogspot blog. Check the signature. I think NASCAR may still be fun in GT even if you don't like NASCAR.

Actually, 3 Gordon Liveries, his 2009 Car, 2008 car and a custom Black and Orange version of his 2008 car (which hints at being able to choose color combos for each scheme, as the black and orange car has never been run, featured or shown anywhere.)

From,
Chris.

Which Dodge & Ford cars do you think they will include?

I would like to see

Montoya's #42 Dodge
Carl Edward's #99 Ford
Matt Kenseth's #17 Ford

EDT: they should include Montoya and Ambrose's cars, it would boost international interst

Montoya is in a chevy now :( Even still I think this is a good season for him.

And Why id everyone noticing the paintjob multiples in the field now... Thats old news check back like 9 pages Folks.

Id still be more excited if they include spotters and crew chiefs! I hope they also keep race series exclusive from each other.

I dont want a INDY style pit stop in nascar, like how the have people over the wall already and tires sitting and waiting. If you did that in a nascar race you would be penalized heavily.

Something very important to these cars

PD must get the SOUND right. If they do, these cars will be epic

Before Sony starts teasing us to death, I decided to take advantage of both licenses we now see and created my own commercials. Enjoy the NASCAR version here:

If you pay close attention to the pitstop, you can see that the tire changer is aiming off-center. So we can look forward to realistic pitstops. :D

Oh, PD HAS to get it right because if they don't, there's going to be a lot of American NASCAR fans with hissy fits over PD for not getting engine sounds right. Almost like playing for the New York Yankees- win the championship, or you're going to get railed. Or to put it another way, either PD gets it right, or disgruntled NASCAR fans will want to do to PD what Talladega fans do to Jeff Gordon when he wins at Talladega.

On a serious note, I do think they'll get the sounds right. If not right, then freaking close.

I noticed there were no Chargers in the mix there either (Nascar shots); just the Camry's and .. Impala's

Yeah, you owned me so bad. I wish you real exciting racing on the oval track.

Not exciting on ovals? Are you serious? Have you ever taken the time to watch a NASCAR event? I watch all forms of racing and love them all. Some are more exciting than others but all have there moments. Have you ever watched a Race at Bristol or Richmond or a Daytona 500? A race at Dega or Martinsville? What about when Harvick beat Martin at the 500? What about when Sr. punted Texas Terry at Bristol? What about Johnson and Hamlin at Martinsville? Bumper to bumper racing at the plate tracks?

Come on man give it a chance. I used to hate road races because I thought they were boring. Turns out I did not understand the form of racing now I love them.

NASCAR is not my favorite type of racing, but i can see why PD put it in the game. I would have liked more European racing (FIA- GT1and GT2).

Heck I myself not big fan, but I would love to try them out in GT5!
I bet you guys, the NASCAR in GT5 Online leagues will be one of the more popular races out there.

Yeah, it seems there's going to be about 6(?) COT's. Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, Dale Jr.,Michael Waltrip, and Jimmie Johnson

Or, look at it from this POV: Joe Gibbs Racing, Michael Waltrip Racing, Hendrick MotorSports, and Stewart/Haas Racing are what's show. (JGR, MWR, HMS, SHR)

I cant say (write) it enough:
Chevrolet Impala SS #24 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife=AWESOME!

Driving the #24 in GT was always a dream from me and now it came true.

Now what will race length be? a 200 lap Daytona 500 400 lap coca cola 600? 24 hour at Nur in COTs only :)

Posts #232 and #233... you'll need to edit your posts to show off the YouTube videos (or maybe mine just aren't showing up). Don't forget, people... NASCAR does road racing too. Maybe not often, but they do road race. They also find some very nice road courses. Infin... Sears Point and Watkins Glen (though I don't like Watkins Glen all that much anymore). Who knows? Maybe with the inclusion of Daytona and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the possiblity also exists for road racing with these courses with NASCAR stock cars.

I don´t understand why there seems to be alot hangups on the ovals? This is Gran Turismo! You can take any car to any track AFAIK! And driving a heavy 800 bhp monster around a technical track like Suzuka, Nürburgring or Laguna Seca, would be a blast! And 190mph on a big oval is presumably alot trickier than it sounds... I really look forward to the racing with these monsters!

Someone else also stated that oval racing beats drifting any day, and I totally agree!

And let's not forget Mexico City, Lime Rock Park, Miller Motorsports Park and Montreal too:)

Also, here's a custom box cover I just finished:

Out of all those nascar finishes stated above I still think there are way to many incredible finishes in this sport to name them all. I mean look at this years Talladega race finish!

BRAD KESOLOWSKI?!

And let's not forget Mexico City, Lime Rock Park, Miller Motorsports Park and Montreal too:)

I doubt they will put Camping world east series tracks in the game. Never Know though.
