Why sure, I'd be open for that. I don't have anything solid at the moment so I wouldn't mind getting input from you guys.

I was actually putting together some rough class ideas as well, friend request sent.

Quick question. Can NASCAR stock cars be raced on fictional tracks? Or only on real world circuits?

I thought I saw a pic of it on the streets.

If recall, its been said that at the request of NASCAR, the COTs can run on all the other tracks so I'm pretty sure that includes fictional ones.

I believe that part of NASCARS agreement with PD was to have the NASCARs drive on tracks other than ovals. So yes, I would imagine NASCAR can be driven on all tracks.

dang. You beat me.

That screen looks like it came off a HD TV Feed from a live Nascar race. Damn it looks good!

Just thought you guys might be interested in something I have planned for next year:

[
Keep an eye for this and many other new series I have planned with GTMSA.

RACECAR, I am 150% interest in this. Been in a ton (even ran a few myself) leagues for the EA Nascar games. Please keep me in mind.

If everyone dreams of a NASCAR professional series here on GTP, fear no more. You will have your picks. See you in Nov.

Awesome I'll make sure to sign up!👍

And RACECAR, expect to see me in that!

:embarrassed: Ohhh Babyyy!!! I cant wait man i have never watched Nascar till i heard it was on GT5 now i am a junkie for Nascar.

Thanks for the positive feedback 👍 I'll try to keep you guys informed as best as I can, me and some great partners are currently hard at work putting it all together.

Gamestop's exclusive pre order car pack includes a new NASCAR paint scheme for Joey Logano. (According to Gamestop, this is Logano's Nationwide paint scheme, put onto a Cup Car, however, he has not ran this car yet)

You know what could make the NASCAR portion of GT5 epic (besides having all the tracks and a full single-person mode season)...

...the addition of vintage cars.

Imagine:

-Dale Sr's cars
-Richard Petty's old superbird
-Jeff Gordon's Dupont "Rainbow Warrior" car
-among a plethora of others

Imagine the ability to take the old cars and pit them up against the new ones. Performance and handling would all be completely different. Maybe it's already an ace up PD's sleeve?

Also, I'm not convinced that they don't have more than just the Sprint Cup cars. They always just show the NASCAR logo when they advertise Sprint Cup cars. I hope they throw in the Nationwide Series and Craftsman Truck Series cars as well. Heck, maybe even go to the length of having some Whelen Mods.

If GT5 has Whelen modifieds and a good track to race them on like Martinsville or New Hampshire, I will forgive them for the standard cars.

Not really sure if I like the look of the Nationwide COT but I'm sure it will grow on me in time.

I really am looking forward to NASCAR in GT5. I'm hoping that there will be a NASCAR series of sorts and not just the one "endurance" race

Anyone notice in the NASCAR gameplay video on the front news page, how Indianapolis was labeled for track selection?

"Superspeedway - Indy"

Makes it seem like there's more than one. I mean, yes we do have Daytona as well, but just makes you think.

Also, last night I was thinking to myself how awesome it would be to run a Daytona Road event at night with NASCAR racers. If you can do night races on that track in GT5 (I don't see why not) then this will be one of the first things I do. 👍

There is 2 versions of Indy, Speedway and the road course , hence the reason it is labeled.

I don't know if it has been brought up, but has anyone noticed that the cars have the Coors Light Pole decal on the fenders? Now I don't know about other parts of the world, but here in the States thats illegal. No product intended for minors is allowed to have alcohol merchandising with in the product. Now I think its cool that they went in-depth enough to include it, but I'd hate for PD to get in trouble with the Feds because of it.

It's not illegal(you're thinking of tobacco), the only reason you don't really see it is because the ESRB looks negatively on the appearance of alcohol so it may hurt the "E" rating racing games normally get.

Question for my Nascar fans, can someone explain to me why sometimes my fav driver Kyle Busch switches his car paint scheme (and other drivers) Ex he will have M&M and then have the green interstate paint scheme. Thank you!

Most sponsors only pay to sponsor a certain amount of races so other sponsors fill in those races.

Cut that, kiddo. If you don't like NASCAR, at least choose a valid way of complaining.

@terminator363 Watch this video in its entirety on full screen. :) This will show you a good representation of NASCAR.

Great stuff. I saw the Garmin commercial with the same idea. The one where Kasey Kaine was in the #9 going around the track.
