-> So far the only cars featured in the trailer are all Chevy's (Impala) and Toyota's (Camry). So far so good; Maybe at TGS or any game/car shows in between would add Dodge's (Charger) and Ford's (Fusion). ;)

~> Although I want to see the Black No.3 just the heck of it:

Yeah I would like to see some older stock cars as well, especially the #3...I think it would be awesome if the #3 was the prize car for winning the NASCAR championship

Sort of like how PD had older F1 cars in GT3

I really have no interest in NASCAR as I find it pretty pointless and Boring to watch on TV. I think PD have only included in GT5 for perhaps financial reasons only as I can't see KY being a NASCAR fan. (maybe I am wrong)

I have no problem with NASCAR and many many people love it to death so why not have it in GT5. I will cetainly give those cars a go, should be fun!!

PS

I heard that because these cars always turn left, the handling is focused for left turns and the cars would track left even if you let go of the steering wheel? Would be fun on a normal track if the car was always trying to turn left!! lol Is this true?

That would be cool, they could bring back the prize wheel and have like the #3 Monte Carlo, the #43 Charger Daytona and the 17 Monte Carlo(The Tide one DW drove). That way they get 3 different generations of NASCAR.

They set the camber on the cars to do this when they are at a circuit. They don't do it when in the default setup with 0 tuning.

I can see Auto Club and maybe Homestead making the game, maybe Lowe's and Bristol too, you never know I guess.

If anything they can race on these tracks

Daytona
Twin Ring Motegi
Indianapolis
Suzuka

Notice the logos in this picture. The Official NASCAR Sprint Cup logo, the Coors Pole logo, and the white washed EA logo!!!

Any NASCAR track that has a road course, the road course MUST be included!!! Gateway, Nashville, VIR, Homestead (as mentioned) is in FC.

I honestly HATE Nascar, but I'm happy to see the series will be in the game. Might be fun wrestling a nascar around the Ring or Suzuka:)

TVC
I hope they don't make you drive them in any races.

Why would they get the license and not have any races for them?

It is a lot harder than people think it is to drive these 3400lb 800hp monsters through corners.

Methinks that will be modified or absent in the final game. "Think of the children" and whatnot.

^^^^^^^^^Don't forget Infineon. EDIT: Got beat, didn't see this page.

Actually alcohol logos are fine, there have been plenty of games with them as well as a E rating(Baseball games for example, there are several teams that have alcohol sponsors that have the logos in the game). The only reason they were changed in previous games was because there was contract issues with NASCAR, which appear to have been resolved.

Boogity! Boogity! Boogity! Boogity! Boogity! Let's go racing boys!

I hope PD can push the limits and give us a full 43 car field for NASCAR races! I'd love to race 42 other drivers online!

I don't think so. I expect 16 cars.

Well, even if GT5 doesn't support 43 car fields for NASCAR races, I'd still take GT5 over EA's horrible NASCAR 09 (which didn't even include the actual Chevy Impala SS, Ford Fusion, Dodge Charger, or Toyota Camry stock cars)!

first off, if you're going to come into this thread to show your displeasure with NASCAR being in the game thats fine, but please dont display your ignorance of the sport and racing in general. I think you know who I'm talking to.

If you think all ovals are just circles you are indeed clueless. Every oval is different in many ways, even Daytona and Talladega are extremely different despite the track layout appearing to be the same. I hope Darlington gets in the game and is a license test just so all the loud mouth NASCAR haters can pick up their Darlington stripe

As for driving the cars being boring, can it be more boring then the F1 car? A 5 year old could drive the GT5P F1 car. Heck, the car drives itself. Low weight, super sticky tires, absurd amounts of downforce and mechancial grip. No feel of driving at all.

Yet you want to come in here and moan about stock cars getting in the game but praise the "super glued to the track" F1. Whatever

Do you think pit stops will look like that?

So you've never seen a restart at Daytona or Talladega?

Anyways, 16 cars seems to be the perfect amount. Normally there is only 10-12 cars that are capable of winning in a weekend anyways.

I just can't wait to do the 24hours of the Ring in the #14.
