I would be okay to toss out NASCAR as a whole just to have rims on standard cars. Nascar goes left!

And visa versa.

Why do people have to go out of their way to make such comments?

Maybe their only education of NASCAR is South Park? :odd:

WAIT!! There's no rims on standard cars?
Are there any windows, at all? Doors?

It may be unfortunate for some but that's the way it is, go ahead if you insist, blame NASCAR. I don't plan on changing/customizing any rims, unless mandatory.

Seriously? You'd dump a whole unique series simply for RIMS? You can hardly even see them when your driving! They look good and all but rims are such a non-issue compared to more pertinent issues such as the fact that only 11 NASCAR cars appear to be included in the game.
Rims effect racing mechanics, believe it or not.

But I hate Nascar, I've been to it before and it sucks. Least F1 takes skill that even a cartoon can't do. Wait, turn left. Yes, I am being ignorant here. But seriously, GT5 never had Nascar and didn't need it. But it had rims/wheel changing and should have it still. Wouldn't trade something I want for something I didn't think of wanting.

Nor I.
It seems people forget that others have different wants.

I only commented because of your post about your dislike with what PD put into the game without any real discussion to go with it.
I have not and will not go into any thread and comment on things I don't want in the game, I stay out of the thread.
There are many things I don't want in this game either and many things I would like the game to have, but face it, it is what it is.

But anyway, try to enjoy the game for what it is, not what you had expected.
I'm going to.

And can you put some rims on any of your 200+ premium cars?

Thank you..(-_-) wish more people was like you..thanks william.

I hope Daytona and Indy isn't all that we're left with. I really can't imagine they would drop Infineon.

You shouldn't have any trouble winning online NASCAR races, yes?

Cry about it there. Thanks, Bye now.

Can you Imagine 16 Car Online Races at Daytona

Maybe a Full on 500 Mile Race with NO Driving Aids :dopey:

Pit Stops , Drafting e.t.c I can 💡

NASCAR on GT5 is another form of Motorsport to have lots of fun with 👍

I'm not a huge NASCAR fan myself but I'm glad it was added... GT5 should include as much motor sport as possible and I will have fun racing the cars especially online where the racing will be very competitive.

What do I want in the future from GT6... more than anything I want them to do just 2 things...

1 More of a diverse group of performance sedans/hachbacks and sports cars that real people actually drive and can own.

2. More real world tracks, not just famous ones with pedigree and "scenery" but technical, interesting courses that people also like me can go race on the weekends.

Registered, it looks like a blast. I would like to see the night race at Daytona and the day race at Indy go the full 400 miles.

Daytona and Indy for Tier 1 (Cup competition) will have longer races than other tiers.

Thanks for signing up!

Good to hear. Hope I am good enough for Tier 1 then! lol

Me too.. lol

Quick question: how come using a clutch is not allowed? And, how would you tell? Just curious.

If there is a player with a controller. And if there is a player with a wheel, but no clutch. And if there is a player with a wheel with a clutch. Take those three instances. The two that do not have a clutch will have a unfair advantage over the player with a clutch. Without a clutch, GT5 clutches for you. It is timed like clock work. Say the player with a clutch can shift faster than the computer does...thats where the problem is.

So to make it fair for all levels, it is disallowed, because you can go faster, in a shorter period of time with a clutch.

How would we tell? ...scouts honor... We hope someone is not greedy enough to take advantage of that trust. Plus there is a way to see if someone does use a clutch, in replays. :) Follow the grey area! lol

The whole clutch talk is because there's a mod that allows players to gear change while keeping their foot on the throttle. With just a regular clutch, paddle shifters, sequential shifter, buttons, or auto shifter, there is a shift delay just like regular cars. This mod eliminated that. That is most likely why the clutch couldn't be enabled in the TT demo, and that is why the clutch is illegal in WRS too.

It does give an advantage but the clutch on the G series wheels is not a mod, that's just the way they are.
That's why they are not supported in GT games.
And yes like CWR said, you can tell by the accelerator display, it turns red between shifts unless using a clutch.
Some cars is does not change color, like the Lexus IS-F and the Daihatsu's.
Maybe even some more.

I don't know about the Fanatec wheels.

This is also a good reason the clutch is not allowed.

A perfect example would be on a restart in a Nascar race... If someone had that clutch mod, they could go faster before the rest of the field could.

Rookie of the year is mine lol.

Signed up, hopefully the GMT times wont screw it up to badly :)
