@ Chad the sign in page is still down. I want to see what you have in store for us in side. LET ME IN!! LOL

Nothing is inside yet! lol When you get into a tier, then I think I will keep those things from the public. Right now, what you see is what everyone see's!

Cool I can wait until Tuesday, i got a pretty good feeling that's when you'll allow every one in. I take it you still working on it and don't want to give any details? Nice I like that, I wounder what you have up your sleeve.

:dopey:

It's not exactly an oval, but if the "Beginner Course" from GT4 was in, it wouldn't be a bad short track to add to the series. It's .48 miles. Can you imagine having a field of 12 or 16 cars on that track? Not a true Bristol, but interesting.

Wasn't it available without the chicane in GT4P?

I don't know if anyone has watched the video of the pit stop at Daytona, but at the end of the backstretch, the car was going almost 250MPH, that is NOT cool, doesn't look like we are going to get restrictor plates.

I think it's tuned, more BHP he added to it.

Isn't that only for safety purposes? In a video game, you don't need to be safe.

Yes, it is for safety purposes, but I and many others were looking forward to the unique experience of restrictor plate racing in GT5. Restrictor plate racing requires using the draft and team work, without restrictor plates, it is all about the line you take to get through the corner the fastest, just like every other track.

The race just started, he had only used 3 liters of fuel.
Yes, I realized that just after I wrote the message, so I edited.
Fuel consumption seems realistic. It shouldn't take much time to deplete a fuel tank with a high powered car on SSR7.

It does seem very realistic, Sprint Cup cars get on average 4 MPG, and at 250MPH, I'm sure that is less, and Daytona is 2.5 Miles.

Are we sure it says "mph" and it wasn't in kilometers? With the fuel being in liters and would be logical that it would have been kph and at 260 kph on the backstraight or 160 mph that would sound about right.

I can see the number, but I can't see what unit it's in.

It was 400kph.
EDIT: 379kph to be exact.

Do you whats scares me about the video. The fact that, the only options you have under pit are fuel and tires. Where are the adjustments?

Maybe it is not unlocked, but those tuning options during a race are important.

Despite PDs claims that NASCAR races would be included with all the rules etc. it seems like that was bs.

The NASCAR physics look horrible, cars bouncing off each other all the time, there's no visible draft at Daytona..cars going 400kph at a restrictor-plate track - Yeah right.

And they could have at least added the possibility to make track bar adjustments and stuff like that. Disappointing....

Without asymmetric/four point tuning and some options (it's a simulator after all, isn't it?) to check in detail tire temperatures and tire pressure, NASCAR Cup car simulation in GT5 is unfortunately flawed at the core.

It looks like, in the video the assists are on full..

Hold your judgement until you play. I will agree with you, it doesn't look realistic at all. But hold your judgement, and do not let this 1 video ruin it before you play.
