Look up Kennedy raceway.. The similarities are scary.. Max speed there is 120-130 on the straights and about eighty in the corners..

After all my ramblings about Kennedy raceway.. What I meant was martinsville speedway. Only 0.526 miles long.. Imagine 43 NASCAR's racing on that:nervous: very simaler to monster.. 💡

Virtually no speed gain it appears, 3 or 4 cars yes, but two no.
I myself tested this. I'm not going to give up the exact details, but we able to run faster in a 2 car pack than most would think. I'm talking corner entry speeds close or right at 200mph.

Speed is determined by you transmission, especially in this event if you stretch it you will be faster in a draft but slower on your own. So if you trans is set lower you can run a good qualifying time and be fast on your own but suffer the possibility of falling behind in a draft. And if you stretch your transmission it's vice versa it's all about the perfect balance

My Transmission is very long, due to keeping the car in its power-band, ask Furi, He won't see me for half of the race and then at the end he say "Oh no that Ford is coming!" and I just breeze past with no problem, but my ballast, is not at the rear trying to get perfect balance, it is at the front, so I have complete faith round the corners, that's my style anyway, it may not work for you but just wanted to share my thoughts! :D

is grip reduction on or off, Furinkazen? I don't see that in the first post anywhere :/

IMO doesn't make much difference unless your planning for some off roading:) leave it off and it can only get better:)

I know this Mopar. I have changed my tune on my camaro for daytona slightly and gained nearly .5 sec off my best lap times. It will still draft just as well as before but it is a lil faster on its own than before.

Finally getting somewhere, hit a 50.9 earlier. Could do better though. 👍

Matty what are you using? You can sacrifice speed for time or vice versa at daytona. Its about having a good line that will let you have both.

Well I'm hitting that with a lot of gear left and I imagine I could do better cause that was a quick practice offline. Anyway, it's the 'Stang :sly:

I snapped a couple o' pics of that awesome 3 car crash during practice that looked almost like a real life incident (being the last lap and all), will see if I can post them to the TOCA group sometime in the close future ^^

I thought I'd be clever on the weekend and look for a Toyota equivalent in this so I tried the 2007 Lexus IS-F since there's no Camry....I blitzed my best at Daytona by a couple seconds so I think Furinkazen knew what he was doing by not letting this in

come to think of it, maybe that's what made my PS3 go wonky....lucky I backed up Saturday so I didn't lose that much (a handful of cars and helmets)

Tell ya what, from testing these cars are close, lots of slingshots and overtakes...

anyone got new tyre data with the 2.02 upgrade? I shall try tonight if no one does....might open the lounge as well since I need to try out the headset and am yet to do any drafting practice :nervous:

Nah I'm on holidays:D Ms. Keavney won't be happy:sly:

say Furinkazen, is there any chance that the race on January 29 can be pushed back a couple hours (or an hour earlier) so we can watch the end of the 50th Rolex 24 hours at Daytona that weekend?

I'd be down for an hour earlier, later causes me problems 👍

Can't wait for the 2012 to get going. TOCA, NASCAR CHASE and NATIONWIDE - its an online racing series bonanza.
