I hope Jimmie leads the most laps and wins so Denny isn't champion. I'd love to see Harvick be champion but I don't see that happening. The others are just too good.

From what I heard on Race hub, Kasey Kahne will have both his knees operated on. Supposedly its a minor procedure, but its likely he'll miss out on the January test at Daytona. Wonder what the surgery is for

Also, Ford has pulled the plug on their Truck series program (no surprise, really should've done it long ago). Its officially a two make series now.

A week ago it was rumored that Ford was going to up their participation in the Truck series. Ford hasn't been competitive in a while in 2 of the 3 series so I guess it isn't worth all that money fighting a losing battle.

As for Kahne, he has some sort of film in both his knees that needs to be removed. I think the name for it is Flica.

I'd like to see Harvick get the title, but he needs Jimmie and Denny to have some trouble if he is to pull it off.

As for the race, I hope Jeff Gordon dominates the race and wins. He deserves it after the season he's had, and after having his pit crew taken away from him.

Not only that I hope that his win robs enough points from Johnson to cost him the title.

Anyone remember the great run Ambrose was having at this race last year?

For some reason, I don't remember Ambrose's good run last year, but I do remember when David Gilliland was in the top five for most of the day a couple of years ago (2007?) and then crashed, which sort of sealed a miserable year for him.

I also thought that Harvick deserved the championship the most (for his extraordinary average finish), followed by Hamlin (for his victories), but then the more detailed loop statistics show that Johnson and Gordon have been convincingly better than anyone else over the entire course of the races. Sometimes I think that we can get too wrapped up in finishes, when so much of them depends on luck.

Denny is saying something is defiantly wrong with the car.

Must have been a tire.
I have not heard Denny on the radio since.

Watching this on justin.tv. Race is interesting, but holy crap, American adverts are dreadful. Do advertisers put any thought into their adverts at all, or is it just slagging off your competitors? Yeesh.

Anyhoo, I'd like to see Hamlin take it, but I'm not particularly fussed who wins. Looking good for Johnson at the mo.

Harvick takes the lead on pits! And he's too fast entering, damn! --- Randy

He didn't pit on the last caution and everyone behind him is on fresher tyres.

Oh my, what a season. I'm afraid Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick buckled under pressure today. Can't wait for new season, bring on 2011.

You forgot Tony Schumacher(distant cousin of Michael and 7 time top fuel champ and John Force, 15 time funny car champ).

Amazing how many dominant figures there have been in sports the past 15 years or so.

Congrats to the 48 team, but I'm sick of them winning.

Looks like the Roush teams have their act together again, they should be strong next year.

This might be just me but this puts a bad taste in my mouth. If it wasn't for the chase he wouldn't have 5 straight. Terrible system imo.

X2

I also think what helped him (and Denny) this year is the stupid rule of the bonus points for wins. Even though Harvick had the best average finish of anyone in the chase, (and best all season for that matter) too bad that doesn't mean anything anymore.

Next year the chase track lineup gets changed around though, hope that helps.
