This is by far a very different race. Never would I imagine seeing the entire field in two car packs.

Top 12 cars finishing with in a half a second of each other for the first third of the race...

Now why do people bash this fun? XD

Cousin Carl's at it again.

Edit: Looked like it might have been Regan Smith's fault.

He went to the garage most likely due to this not being an important race and it looked like his car wasn't competitive after that spin.

Summary so far

Ill take the pre COT plate racing any day.

Well, the field is now down to normal size GT5 field of cars :P

I don't agree with that finish. Hamlin was already ahead when he went below the line. The same thing happened last year with Harvick at Dega. Then Kyle Busch in the Truck race in the fall.

Bad call IMO.

Yea i avoid the usual arca crashfest. Good to hear it was finally different, albeit not in the best way.

Anyhow race was ok at best. Half the field missing kept the 2 car deal for longer than it shoulda.

EDIT: I dont think even if hamlin was deemed clear that he won that race, it was mighty close.

Hamlin was still in the process of making the pass.

Talladega doesn't have the yellow line in the tri-oval section so Harvick's and Busch's passes for victory were legal.

This finish, way better then the ARCA Finish. Alot more ballsy moves, something that is supposed to happen in the race.

They are making Denny the whipping boy, to instill "FEAR THE YELLOW LINE" into the rest of the drivers.

I can see Nascar slowing the cars down. Kyle Busch and Michael Waltrip both had laps over 206 mph.

They really should stop trying to do that. Reducing the plate didn't work, implimenting the new rule with the cooling didn't work.

They need to do something about this 2 car draft. I don't have a problem with it in general, just how long a driver can push another. Hamlin pushed Newman for well over 10 laps. In my opinion of course, it shouldn't be possible to do it for anymore than 3-4 laps. It would definately keep the pack tighter.

Check your PM's RACECAR

On topic: Jeff said the bumpers were getting pushed in and causing PITT'ing.
