That's what I kept saying to myself everytime I saw that car come by where I was sitting.
Still looks weird with that number and Kurt Driving it
Totally agree that the two car thing is boring & the Shootout was meh. I think all the drivers know that if they pull out then they will fall straight to the back. I saw that as soon as the two cars that were drafting got more than half a car length between them that both cars suffered horribly.I think the racing in the Shootout was just meh...
I was and still am not a fan of this two car thing. It's fine if a few cars do it, but honestly, I watched Harvick push Gordon for maybe 25 laps in the second segment. It was like everyone was afraid to give an inch and even swap the push for the tow. I look forward to tight pack racing, and while that existed for short periods of time, it was mostly 12 cars racing even though there were 24. I really can't see 500 miles going that way, and with the changes that are supposed to come this week, hopefully there wont be a chance.
It's just my opinion, but it's not as entertaining. Oh well, I was really hoping Harvick would get the hat trick, he just could not find another drafting partner.
Looking forward to the 150's Thursday.
Kudos to Mark Martin for wrecking that bastard Kyle Bush. Good job Mark. The only thing better than that was seeing the 18 car make that left turn into the garages after that Days of Thunder BS he pulled on the restart.
Really, I was there & the race was a bore with the two car drafting. The shootout was insane, I'm surprised everyone at the front was able to do the two car tandem thing for the whole race without overheating or anything. o.O
Boo NASCAR for trying to change it, this is more fun for the fans and the drivers instead of running 3 wide 12 rows deep.
The new asphalt has taken away some of the character of Daytona. There were no sparks flying out from under the cars in turns 1 & 2. The dip @ the exit of turn 4 is gone.
