That Blazers-Heat game was incredible.
Whatever. In pick up basketball, you would have had to give us either LeBron or Wade, to make the teams more even.

I forgive you. At least you didn't make fun of Greg Oden. This time.

:D

P.S. Go Ducks!

It's over! First win of 2011! We won 108-102 at Boston. So, we didn't have to wait long to finally get our first win of 2011. Let's see if we can keep this rock rolling for as long as possible.

Props to the Rockets for taking down the Celts! First Texas team to do it? We couldn't and we have the best record in the league.:sly:

So the Spurs are now 32-6 this year and beat the Wolves 4 times. Sunday night here in SA (barely) and finally the last time this year in Minn. 6 Spurs in double figures!

Crazy game in the third quarter, T-Wolves get 5 technicall fouls on one play including the head coach getting ejected! Almost each guy on the floor got a tech, then the coach got a double tech and asked to leave. Funny, as they were on a run coming out of the half and had cut the lead to 5 from 11 at the break. The foul call that started it was legit too, just every one of the T-Wolves got pissed and the crowd egg'd them on. 5 tech foul shots (made all of them - Ginobli) and then the shooting foul shot = 7 points for the Spurs and the ball back, which they scored on as well! 9 points in a single play. Game over, basically after that, T-Wolves weren't the same. Never seen anything like it.

Proving that they are still an irrelevant team. They go out of their way to lose the game.

I actually passed on Blazers - Knicks tickets tonight. I wanted to play CoD4(don't judge), and also, we were getting some freezing rain tonight. I didn't want to end up sleeping in my car tonight.

That's just mental! And at the same time continues proving how stupid that "Respect the Game" rule really is.

Oh, y'all still got Greg Oden? Damn, I thought it was past his bedtime or that they got rid of him because he scares little children.

He's going to make you eat your words in 12/13 season. He's still like 6' 8", even with a walker!

Late rally... too late. Rockets lose 118-112 to get swept 3-1 in the Rockets/Thunder series. Not the way to come home after a big win on the road at Boston. It would have made me happy since the Spurs and Mavericks played (or are playing) at the time of this post. Damn, man.

Up next... hosting New Orleans on Friday, then at Atlanta on Saturday night- snow or no snow. Rockets just could not figure out the Thunder. Thankfully, we're done with them, but not the way we wanted to end playing them for the season. I also learned Oklahoma City is not one of our division opponents, so that's... okay. Always thought they were a Southwestern team, but they are a Northwestern team.

Well, that's all from me. Hope your teams are doing well. Rockets fail again. Again.

Damn Heat. They lost all their steam when LeBron twisted his ankle. I wish our bench had some better FG percentage.

Only non NBA on TNT game is Washington at Minnesota. By the way... congratulations to the Clippers on beating the Heat and snapping the Heat's road winning streak. They won 111-105 in Los Angeles.

Just for discussion... if you didn't notice on Tuesday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers put up as much points as a college basketball team, losing 112-57 at the Lakers. LeBron James had that controversial tweet about "karma's a b:censored:." Your thoughts on LeBron and his comments?

^Was just about to bring that up! LB couldn't help himself by throwing salt on Clevelands wounds with the 'self-serving' reeee-diculous tweet. Karma's a beeeiatch LB, huh? How do you like it now?! He really is a tool lately. So much promise, yet so immature.

So the Spurs beat the Bucks last night in a pretty physical game. Scott Sciles has those boys playing tough, no matter what their record says. Spurs were down by 8 at the half, but came out and held the Bucks to only 15 in the 3rd quarter and played with a small lead to end. That was on the tail of a back to back so it was good to see the effort, especially from the bench. The bench for SA is really something special. It's one of the main reasons for our record thus far.

So we have several home games upcoming, I think 5 out the next 6 are at home, then the 'Rodeo Road Trip' starts, where we play 12 of 13 on the road while the ATT Center holds the annual Rodeo (which is awesome by the way if you've never been).

Your post is the first of me hearing about LBJ tweet. Dude needs to grow up he's the one who left. That was his choice to leave but the way he chose to leave left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. If you want to go to Miami fine there was no need for a 1 hour special on ESPN.

Apparently, LB's now backtracking (imagine that?) on the tweet, saying that it wasn't his words, that he was just re-tweeting someone else's message to him. He says at the time he agreed with the tweet and passed it on......

Sad.

Wade is more important than LeBron anyway.

Fish, is that for real? If true, sad doesn't begin to describe it.

So I heard about LeBron rolling his ankle. Way Omnis is sounding, did they lose?

P.S. I've always like Wade, and continue to like him. LeBron..... I used to respect him. I still think he's a great athlete. Great competitor? Absolutely not. I have ZERO doubt that he would have won a Championship in Cleveland, as soon as they got rid of Danny Ferry. It doesn't matter now!

Just goes to show the importance of a college education. D.Wade was to convince LBJ to Robin to his Batman and LBJ fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Seriously? Cleveland was the team that chucked a big hissy over LBJ leaving, and now karma punishes them for it right? So LBJ makes a snide comment about karma, so karma punishes him for it. Unless your name is Earl, karma will not do you any good- so stop being supersticious.
I can't believe how the Raptors lost to Atlanta the other day, piss-poor refereeing really, the Raptors sorely deserved that win the way they played all game. The only way the Hawks kept in it was by fluke shots and milking 3pts fouls in a big way. I now have no respect what so ever for the Hawks.

When Miami takes out Wade, the offense disappears. Bosh can't shoot jumpers and LeBron can't find lanes when each of them plays with the benchwarmers.

Rockets start a back-to-back tonight. We got the boys from New Orleans coming down to H-Town (every conference win helps). And then snow or no snow, we're at the Hawks for my birthday tomorrow. After the embarrassment we suffered at home late against the Thunder, we can really use more wins. This is a much better team than our record indicates. We're not THAT sorry, and I'll be damned if we're relegated to another lottery pick.

Couldn't they steal plays from the LeBron-era Cavaliers? I could be wrong, but I'm sure LeBron dictated control of the ball in Cavs offense back then. Bosh can become the second, or the third option, while of course playing some garbageman role. I don't think they had any respectable point guard on the Cavs then either(I've always maintained that Mo Williams is WAY overrated).

Raptors will suffer another injury with Barbosa, and that's now going to be a huge contribution missing off the bench. We can give up on this season, maybe next season we'll have a healthier team.

Rockets lead by 12 or 16 heading into the 4th, don't do much a damn thing in the 4th, go into Overtime... and we end up getting stung the Hornets 110-105 in Overtime. Whatever sports plague that impacted the Astros and Texans are now biting the Rockets in the backside. I don't want to hear crap about Cleveland having sports woes- we're still dealing with our own in this day and age. A thing about pro sports- a loss is a loss. It's not like in college where you can get knocked off a bit in the rankings for quality losses. You lose, regardless of the margin of victory or what you do in the game, and you lose.

Up next, at Atlanta. DAMN YOU, ROCKETS! STOP F:censored:ING LOSING!!!

Git 'r dun! Rockets won 112-106 at Atlanta. Now that's a birthday present (as well as a much needed win)! The brutal January gets a tad easier for us. We're hosting the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday afternoon.

Miami lost again. I just saw the highlights of Heat at Bulls as a clutch late three-pointer sealed the deal for the Chi-town boys. They won 99-96 as another big-name Heat player went down. D-Wade was money seemingly all game long.

(UPDATE) It was Chris Bosh that went down for Miami in the Heat at Bulls game. Sad break for the Bulls to see another Heat player go down.

Bosh got injured? You've got to be kidding, these NBA players are hopeless at maintaining injury. Raptors lost to Detroit today, but again I can't expect anything from a half team. Good work on beating Atlanta John, especially since I don't like that team at all now. They play dirty, I hope Miami crushes them too.:mischievous:

Pathetic scoring by both the Bucks and the Rockets in the first half (a 39-39 tie at the half) led to a 93-84 win for the Rockets. Kevin Martin was ballin' today with 32 or so points. Up next... we host the New York Knicks Wednesday night. The Knicks are vastly improved from the game we played against them in NYC, so we'll have to see how the Rockets fare against a much-improved Knicks squad. I do wonder if Jordan Hill will be alright after he took a hard foul from the Bucks that ended up in a Flagrant-1 on the Bucks.

Hope your teams did well, too on this day. By the way, can't believe the Clippers beat the Lakers last night.

Bosh & Wade can be susceptible to injury, LeBron is freakishly durable.

When this team was put together, many(myself included) thought that only thing that could stop the Heat were injuries. Or rough, physical play(yay, boston....).

Also a lack of depth, and a decent big man :)

Yes, but personally, I calculate those into the health/injury.

If the Big-3's healthy, IMO, they are so good that size & lack of depth becomes completely irrelevant. Completely.
