I've never followed Thabeet, but that's the word around the league.
Somebody from Portland(team or media, can't remember) talk to Damon Stoudamire about him, and I guess Damon says Thabeet is lazy, doesn't want to work on his game, etc. If Houston was counting on him, 1) bad scouting 2) they've been had
I hope Houston knew what they were doing, but it's true that many bad trades take place when GM's are under numerous pressure(finance, owners, fans, etc.), and trade deadline just might be the worst kind of pressure there is.
I like Dragic though. I wish we had him.
Portland supposedly acquired Gerald Wallace, in exchange for Joel Przybilla(expiring contract), Dante Cunningham, two future 1st round picks.
I don't mind giving up Przybilla and Cunningham? But two future 1st round picks could come back & hinder our progress couple years down the line. It's like taking out a good size loan, and I don't know if Gerald Wallace is worth it. Good player now, but I think he's 28? Maybe he has two more really good years left.
I thought we were rebuilding for the future, so I'm not sure about this move. This move
suggests that we want to be good(not great) now.
