Now I hear Lowry is headed to Toronto, and that might put Calderon on the move(you know he's going to Portland! j/k). It's quite a point guard shuffle this (off)season.

I'd just like to thank JohnBM01 for Lowry, what a great sport he's been.đź‘Ť;)

Wow, now there are reports saying Grant Hill may join the Lakers, if that happens they will become contenders for the title.

I couldn't have put this better myself:

As much as I want to say Grant Hill is 80 years old, he still got some skills, and is a very smart player. But he's 80!

Who would you prefer to start at SF if you were LA? MWP or Grant Hill?

I'd start Hill just because what's his name is stupid, stupid stupid stupid.

Geez, didn't even think Grant Hill was still playing ball.

Look what you get when you google Greg Oden:

Thank goodness for Google's Safe Search!

Grant Hill was my favourite player back in the '90s...... Of course I was too young to understand much about the game back then but it still shows how long he's been around.

Edit: Oh and while everyone else was looking the other way, Clippers signed Billups and Jamaal Crawford. Adds a bit more depth to an already formiddable team. Sometimes during free agency it's easy to forget that someone still has to lose, with everyone "improving" their teams it's easy to think everyone will start winning.

For three years (not including his rookie year) and before his knees had serious issues, Brandon Roy was one of the top players in the league. His averages were around 21 points per game, just over 5 assists per game, and over 4.5 boards a game, along with a steal a game, minimal turnovers, 80% free throw shooting, and 46% field goal shooting. The guy could seriously play.

At this point and with all the problems his knees have, I doubt he is going to be a huge contributor. Though, if he can produce 10-14 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds in around 20-24 minutes and maybe a game or two of late game heroics, then that is not too bad and worth the signing.

Ask a6 about Brandon Roy. I am sure he will give the guy a more than glowing review for the time he was mostly healthy.

Toronto, enjoy Kyle Lowry. He was solid and dependable for the Rockets. He'll now have the opportunity to make the NBA's only remaining Canadian team (remember the Vancouver Grizzlies before they moved to Memphis?) a contender. Lowry was great for us, and he'll be great for the Raptors as well.

Oh, that too. Got hysterical at the broken face on his Google profile though.

Back when he could fly!

I love him. I just hope I don't make a scene if I attend a Minnesota game this year.

Roy is a talented iso-player. He's also known for his clutch game-winning shots.

Well if you're going to a T-Wolves game this year make sure give Nicolas Batum a wave, he's been offered a 4 year deal by Minnesota and doesn't want the Blazers to match it.

I've read that, but I've also read Nic saying that it isn't true, and wouldn't mind staying in Portland. I guess the original comment about him wanting to join the T-Wolves was from his agent, so it is what it is. I'm guessing that he hopes that Blazers don't match, but understands if he's wanted back.

Blazers GM Olshey was quoted that he will match any offer & will not agree to a sign-and-trade either.

With Lowry Toronto aint a contender. They need few more pieces to be a contender.

I think he meant a playoff contender, which is what Raptors are hoping for, to get back to the post-season. I still don't know how the rotation is going to work, overloaded with shooting guards and no great small forwards. Sounds like we'll have a talented 7-foot European front court though in Bargnani and Valanciunas.

Edit: Oh and yeah, it looks like Ray Allen has signed with the Heat, making the best team better.

One of the best. Credit still has to be given to teams like OKC & the Celtics.

Unless LA acquires Dwight. Then good night everyone else.

According to Bleacher Report Stav, the Hornets may pick up Lou Williams and/or Elton Brand as both are being discarded by the 76'ers. Although I'm guessing there are a lot of teams who'll be in those talks.

Until the season starts the Heat are holding that trophy making them the best.:sly:

I hadn't realized that "Sweet Lou" Williams still wan't resigned. Very savvy scorer, if you can get him at the right price.

The Team USA roster for the Olympics:

G – Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers
G – Deron Williams, Brooklyn Nets
G – Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
G – Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
G – James Harden, Oklahoma City Thunder
F – Andre Iguodala, Philadelphia 76ers
F – LeBron James, Miami Heat
F – Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks
F – Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
F – Kevin Love, Minnesota Timberwolves
F – Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers
C – Tyson Chandler, New York Knicks

Did I hear that this will be the last Team USA(for now anyway) featuring NBA stars? They'll start struggling again. :sly:

Well at least we have Patty Mills

Actually, keep an eye on PG Matthew Dellavedova. I saw a couple of his collage games on ESPN earlier this year, the guy has bucket loads of potential.
Good trade by the Hornets, Anderson is a pretty unique but solid PF.

Apparently Hornets are going after Elton Brand and Lou Williams?

Yeah, I really like Anderson. Great 3pt shooter.

I think Lou Williams would be a great addition to the Hornets back court. I'm still trying to work out why the Sixers chose not to re-sign him. :boggled:
