I don't think Dwight ever opted out, as he waived the opt-out smack in the middle of last season(the original Dwightmare lol), right before the trade deadline.
I hope his basketball I.Q. is higher than his real life I.Q., because off the court, Dwight seems to have a really small brain.
Edit: You guys should see what's going on the Blazers forum at the Oregonian(local paper). Fans are absolutely raving our new general manager Neil Olshey. Problem is, outside the draft, he's made three headlines:
1) Upon our headcoach search, he claimed that our interim coach from last year, Kaleb Canales is his favorite to be the permanent coach. Anybody else who wants the job must take it away from Canales, as he is the high standard Olshey has set at the position.
Problem: Canales, arguably is the greenest assistant coach, and might not even qualify at this position. It's like promoting the drive-thru person at McDonalds to the regional manager position. As you guys know, names like Stan & Jeff Van Gundy, Jerry Sloan, Phil Jackson is out there, and Canales is the high standard he'll be gauging by? "Retarded" doesn't begin to describe the claim.
2) All Blazer fans assumed that Nicolas Batum is a automatic resign. He is a restricted FA, but should be a easy keep. Today, we are getting our asses kicked by Minnesota, as they have sold the team to Nicolas, and his agent is damn near treating the Blazers front office like a little kid. Again, Nicolas is a restricted FA, but Minnesota & Nicolas' agent is beating the crap out of the Blazers.
3) We tried getting Indiana Pacers' restricted FA, Roy Hibbert. This was over as soon as it started. Blazers lose, the end. The first day.
I have absolutely nothing against this new GM, and am absolutely rooting for him 100%, but how is he kicking ass?
I don't know if I'm crazy, or these Blazer fans have lower I.Q. than Dwight Howard. Outside the draft(which remains to be seen), our new GM is absolutely making ass of himself! If going around and getting his butt kicked by everyone was the sport, well, it's not.
