Well I want OKC to win so Indy can hang onto that slim first place lead they got. Hopefully the addition of Evan Turner will allow that but I won't be surprised if Indy chokes it at the end.
They don't necessarily have to 'choke', as all three teams are fully capable of beating the other two. Should be pretty interesting, but I wish for Indiana - San Antonio Finals. :P

I would like a Raptors-Spurs final but that's not realistic!:dopey: Unless James, Wade, Bosh, George and Hibbert all decide they're going on a holiday together around playoffs time. Glad Miami beat OKC today.

All good things must come to an end. The win streak ends at eight wins. There's really no shame losing to Golden State. This fail in Oakland is a 102-97 Overtime win for Golden State. We could have played much better. But this is basketball- you can't expect to win every game or feel like you have to win every game to consider yourself a success. Up next is a game at Phoenix on Sunday for the third game of this five-game road trip. After that, it's back to California for a Kings-Clippers back-to-back starting on Tuesday to conclude this five-game road trip.

Sucks for Brooks. I thought with him returning to Houston, he'd be able to re-energize his career since he seemed to do well when he was originally playing for them years ago.
Is Indiana trying to piss away its Championship chances? First they sign By-dumb, then let go of Granger? Waaat?
Steve Blake trade actually works out well for him. He's now off the sinking Lakers & on a contending team again (I honestly thought at 33, he'd end his career with the Lakers after a couple more years). I'm guessing if he really contributes during the Playoffs, they'll keep him. Loved how welcoming Golden State's crowd was to him.

Well in fairness to the Pacers @McLaren, They are trading away a guy who's been averaging 8 points a game and bringing in a guy who's averaging 16. And Turner still is 25 while Granger is going to be on the wrong side of 30 with an injury history.

However, Turner still has to improve his game overall, specifically his defense. But on a squad like Indy where they defend as a team, and with a coach like Vogel, I'm sure he'll improve enough to make a contribution on that front. It's not like the team he came from are known to be defensive stalwarts like Chicago.

So the Bulls make short work of the Nuggets tonight.

I honestly don't remember the last time they entered the half with 69 points.

But at the end of the day it's just another win.

Toronto unfortunately got another win also. Damn it just lay down and lose Toronto!:P

Don't do it guys, it's a trick!
Toronto scored 39pts in the first half today and 37pts in the 3rd quarter. Not sure if to be happy about that or not.:odd: At least they got the W, I'm going to go with happy.:)

I have a feeling Toronto and Chicago are gonna have a race to the finish for third.

On another note, Paulie, is basketball popular in Australia?

So the Rockets narrowly beat the Suns 115-113. I only have one thing to say.

Dwight Howard should have been called for that very obvious lane violation.

Rockets avoided getting burned in the desert as we won 115-112 at the Phoenix Suns. An 11-point 4th Quarter deficit by the Rockets was overcome. This was not easy even though we led by a huge margin early in the first half. Rockets and Suns hooked up for the final time this regular season. There was some pretty shoddy officiating of this game. Though I'll take some of the calls that go the Rockets' way, I don't believe in cheap calls helping out my favorite team(s). Still, we'll take the win.

Up next for the Rockets: at Sacramento on Tuesday and at the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. Yep. Got to love back-to-backs.

Elsewhere... shout out to Kevin Durant dropping in 42 points despite a losing effort when the Thunder hosted the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clip Joint were rocking their light blue sleeved jerseys in this match. He had a pretty sick dunk driving the lane and slamming it home with one hand.

Hey a6m5, that was a pretty epic block Robinson had on Corey Brewer today. NASTY!
I know I've said this before, but I love watching Oden play, what a monster! 5pts and 5reb in 12mins is good work for someone who hasn't played much in the last 4yrs.
Raptors strolled past the Magic today, and with the Bulls losing to the Heat it gives us a little separation which is a good thing.

That was exactly the comment I left on this youtube vid:

Everybody was telling me about this block this morning, so I had to hunt it down. Very impressive.

Imagine him healthy. Blazers front office get so much crap from armchair GM with 20/20 hindsight, but G.O. was a freak of nature. Had he been healthy, he'd been best case scenario - Shaq, worst case scenario - Drama Howard. Damn those knees.....

I truly feel bad for him, because he seems to be a good kid & is a competitor. I do wish him luck, except he's with Miami......

Mavericks playing very well lately. We've won 9 of our last 11, iirc, and the German himself helped us claim another tonight against Melo & the Knicks. I'll admit, a lucky shot, but a shot none-the-least.

Portland would have been contenders if he was healthy along side Aldridge and what ever team they would have eventually built around them (unless Brandon Roy also stayed healthy), it's a shame but it's great to see Oden making a small comeback and on a championship contender.

So apparently today, Raymond Felton has been arrested (or maybe just charged felonies) for pointing a gun at his wife.

Funny part is his bail is $25k.
JR Smith's fine for untying shoelaces was $50k.

EDIT: and then there's this.

129-103, Houston Rockets. We split the season series 2-2 with the Sacramento Kings. DeMarcus "Boogie" Cousins apparently went after an official after a certain foul call against him. He got a Technical Foul and ended up getting ejected after having to be restrained. The Rockets led by as much as about 33 at one point. Our road trip ends at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as the Clippers host my Rockets.

I usually try to hype up NBA Fan Night when it's Tuesday, but I forgot to this time around. It was the Los Angeles Lakers at the Indiana Pacers that was the selected game. Your winner in that one was Indiana with a 118-98 victory. Indiana so far has only three losses at home, and I think they now have a 27-3 record at home this season.

I couldn't believe this past Monday night that the sorry Milwaukee Bucks went into the weak sauce Philadelphia 76ers and whacked them 130-110. PHi has been reeling themselves, but it hurts when the sorriest team in the NBA beats you down this bad in your house.

Congratulations to all other winners from Tuesday's games.

Solid win for the Raptors over the Cavs today, helps with that "separation that isn't going to last" from the Bulls.:P

Well if you keep getting easy teams like the Cavs then that separation will last.

Chicago has to face the Warriors tonight and then the Mavs I think two nights from now.

But it's ok. I know for a FACT, Chicago can sweep Toronto in a playoff situation.:mischievous:

Sort of says very bad about the league's image as a whole if the CBA has a clause saying that if a player acts like a moron and gets arrested he cannot be suspended by the team. Makes me wonder what image they are trying to send to younger fans. That's it's okay to be arrested because it means nothing and there are no repercussions?

There will be repercussions, but he should only get them if he is found guilty of what he has done.

As for the Bulls, they made short work of the Warriors tonight, and we got free Big Macs again! :D

Now we got a hot date with the Mavs.

I would not have been surprised if the Rockets failed at the Clippers, and we did. Rockets lost 101-93. And as much as it pains me to say this as a Rockets fan, the Spurs and Mavericks won their games- Rockets did not. So we were the only Texas team to lose tonight. Clips deserved to win this one. They played much better than my Rockets. Only positive is that this game was much closer than what I thought this game was going to be like. I was thinking Houston was going to get run over, like when we played at Indiana and lost by 30+ points earlier this season. Rockets couldn't hit a shot early on to save their lives. So this road trip ends up being a 3-2 trip for the Rockets with losses at Golden State and at the Clippers.

I mentioned both Dallas and San Antonio won tonight. Congratulations to all other winners.

Chicago crushed the Warriors & our win tonight made it a perfect end to the day. The Bulls win pushes the Warriors down into 7th & Dallas into 6th.

Unfortunately, things will probably revert after this week. We face said Bulls, Spurs, Nuggets, & TrailBlazers. 3 out of 4 tough teams for Dallas. Meanwhile, GS faces Knicks, Raptors, Pacers, & Celtics. I have no doubt the Pacers are the biggest thread followed by the Raptors.

Four games are on tonight's schedule. Of course, two matches will be part on the NBA on TNT doubleheader. Here are the eight teams that will do battle tonight:

* Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers
* Washington Wizards at Toronto Raptors
* New York Knicks at Miami Heat (NBA on TNT)
* Brooklyn Nets at Denver Nuggets (NBA on TNT)

Of tonight's NBA on TNT games, only the Heat have a winning record. Anyhow, go enjoy another Thursday night of NBA basketball.

We beat the Jason Collins & the Nets, coached by the Raymond Felton-Prototype Jason Kidd by 44 points. They were built to be contenders.

I always said that firing Avery Johnson was the biggest mistake this clown franchise has done.
