Two of tonight's 11 or so games will be televised on ESPN tonight. Those games involve...

* Indiana Pacers at Minnesota Timberwolves
* Houston Rockets at Los Angeles Lakers

The Rockets are on this road trip where we counter all of the California teams and Arizona's only NBA team. Tonight starts a back-to-back for my Rockets. We're in Los Angeles tonight to face the Lakers, then we're up the coastline to take on the Golden State Warriors tomorrow night with the NBA on TNT.

Enjoy you some basketball. By the way, it is always interesting to see who gets traded with the trade deadline coming up shortly.

Can someone tell me more about Marcus Thornton now that the Nets are on the verge of acquiring him?

It sounds like it's official now, Terry and Evans are off to the Kings, and Thornton to Brooklyn. Purely in terms of talent, it's a good acquisition for the Nets. Now the Kings have Acy AND Evans?

I really hope Thibs comes with a good game plan for Toronto and the squad comes out playing inspired basketball.

Bulls usually do better after all star break than before.

Toronto are on the back end of a back to back as well, your squad should have no trouble at all.

Some more rumors.... thankfully it would stop tomorrow.
  • The Clippers and Knicks are discussing trading Darren Collison and Reggie Bullock OR Matt Barnes, for Iman Shumpert, and.. Raymond Felton(!) Knicks are saying that anyone that want Shumpert will have to get Felton to... Clippers are surprisingly ok with that.
  • Bucks are shopping Gary Neal. Thunder and Bobcats are the two with the most interest.
  • Boston and Houston are discussing a trade for Rondo, with Chandler Parsons being Boston's most coveted player from the Rockets. Houston not willing to part with Parsons, though.
  • Memphis and Minnesota fell through on a Tony Allen + Tayshaun Prince for Chase Budinger and JJ Barea deal.
  • The Suns were briefly interested in Jordan Hill. Talks are now stopped.
  • Everyone (almost) is interested in Aaron Affalo. However, Magic want to trade Jameer Nelson and Glen Davis instead.

Finally Chicago gets the Toronto monkey off their backs.

Now I just hope the next team that plays them hands them another loss so the Bulls can leap them in the standings with a win.

Not sure I could see Rondo working out in Houston with Howard. Rondo's attitude towards the game is pretty much the same as Kobe's.

Minnesota looking to please Love & keep him interested. Budinger & Barea were the 2 players Love was talking about specifically a couple weeks back.

Deng would be a great fit in Portland...... Blakey's going to be a Warrior, huh? Best of luck to him. 👍

Blazers were hanging in there with the Spurs until the final quarter(still in progress), when the Spurs opened with the 8-0 run....... Hate game like this. Spurs are kicking my team's butt, but I still have a smile on my face. Just get it over with, I don't care who wins.

I could not help but notice Mills leads all scorers.:sly::lol:

Houston are in the process of a laugher for Howard's return to LA, up by over 30. That will keep John happy.

Well, Paulie, your boy had a heck of a game. Congrats to Patty & the Spurs. My boys kept it close, and all things considered(three bigs out), I'm happy with the outcome. I do wish Nico carried more of the scoring load though. He's a talented all-around 3, but with the money he's making, also being the starter, 8 points is not OK. Go Blazers & Spurs, too. :D

Once the engine warmed up, we motored away to a victory. The Dallas Mavericks once beat the Los Angeles Lakers in L.A. by 37 in 2007. While we didn't surpass that mark, the Houston Rockets did beat the Los Angeles Lakers 134-108. DH12 had himself a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds against one of his former teams. For the Lakers, this is now eight straight losses at home. It is also eight straight wins for the Rockets.

So far, so good. Up next- at Golden State for some Thursday night action. This is one of two back-to-backs on this five-game road trip for the Rockets.

The first Thursday night after the All-Star Break is tonight. It is also coming up on the trade deadline. Three games- two of which as part of the NBA on TNT, will happen tonight. Here is tonight's schedule:

* Denver Nuggets at Milwaukee Bucks
* Miami Heat at Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA on TNT)
* Houston Rockets at Golden State Warriors (NBA on TNT)

Enjoy your Thursday night hoops!

So the Pacers traded Danny Granger for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen.
That was the most shocking trade.. and it makes me even more shocked that Philly will buy out his contract. And worst of all, MIAMI is interested..
And then there was the others.
  • Spencer Hawes to Cleveland, for Earl Clark, Henry Sims, and 2nd round draft picks.
  • Spurs trade Nando De Colo to the Raptors for Austin Daye.
  • Bobcats acquire Gary Neal and Luke Ridnour for Ramon Sessions and Jeff Adrien.
  • Andre Miller to Wizards in three-team deal, Eric Maynor and a 2nd rounder to Philly, Jan Vesley to Denver.
  • Clips Dump Byron Mullens on the 76er's. (Man they are getting anything they can)
  • Rockets trade Aaron Brooks (again) for Jordan Hamilton from the Nuggets.
  • Heat trade Roger Mason Jr. and cash to Kings for 2nd round pick.
I definitely did not see most of these coming. (I saw Gary Neal to Bobcats and Andre Miller being traded..)

Aaron Brooks is no longer a Rocket. We traded him to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for G/F Jordan Hamilton. I hope Hamilton can produce for the Houston Rockets.

Nando De Colo?! NO, we wanted Patrick Millssssss!!!!!!
This is a trade I can only assume is to sure up the Point Guard spot for the Raptors if Lowry leaves in free agency and there's nothing better going.

I think we traded Steve Blake twice.

P.S. OKC offense hasn't exactly been a smooth operating machine, this year. Besides, they are working Westbrook into the rotation starting tonight, right?

They are, but they had a much better showing when the two played in Miami.

Ah, OK. I still hope both team lose.

Well I want OKC to win so Indy can hang onto that slim first place lead they got. Hopefully the addition of Evan Turner will allow that but I won't be surprised if Indy chokes it at the end.
