Phew! Raptors end their losing streak against the short handed Celtics. Easy competition but we'll take it.

Patty Mills scored 19pts, 3ast for the Spurs today which was great to see.

It was 97-82 here in Houston as the Rockets picked up their 26th win of the season taking down the Utah Jazz. Utah may know jazz, but the Rockets were rocking and rolling. Here is what's ahead for the Rockets. We're back on the road with two games. We are at the Brooklyn Nets this Monday followed by the start of a back-to-back at Orlando on Wednesday. My birthday is this Thursday, so I'd surely want to see my Rockets take down Brett's Oklahoma City Thunder here in Houston on Thursday (no hard feelings if we beat OKC on that night). Next Saturday, we're hosting the Golden State Warriors.

All three Texas teams played today and tonight. How did the other two Texas teams do? Let's find out.

Elsewhere...

* The San Antonio Spurs handled theirs in Minneapolis as they won 108-93 at the Timberwolves.

* Not a good day at the office for McLaren's Dallas Mavericks, as they fell 120-100 at the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clip Joint was rolling in this one.

* The first game of the day was in New York City as the fledgling Knicks hosted the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets wrecked the Knicks 110-82. This is now 15 straight losses for the Knicks as they pad onto their longest losing streak in franchise history.

* The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Nets Friday night. How would the Pacers do at home against the Indiana Pacers? The game ended 93-92 in favor of... the Sixers. So the Sixers learned how to win and are doing much better than the Knicks.

* Paulie's Raptors are in a losing funk. In Toronto, they beat the Boston Celtics 109-96.

* The final score read 103-92 as a6m5's Portland Trail Blazers held serve at home against the Orlando Magic.

* The Detroit Pistons didn't blow a motor in MoTown as they beat the Brooklyn Nets 98-93.

I think that's everybody. If not, congratulations to all other Saturday winners.

* sumbrownkid's Chicago Bulls took down the visiting Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 95-83.

I think that's everybody. If not, congratulations to all other Saturday winners. Fix any scores I may have gotten wrong (and I apologize).

Gotta hand it to Hassan Whiteside today, he had 23pts and 16reb to propel the Heat past the Clippers. It's always great (like a feel-good moment) when you see a player given a chance who's been mostly overlooked during his career to this point, and performs like Whiteside has been.

I beat ESPN to the mark yet again, today they suggested the Raptors should trade Tyler Hansbrough, a 2nd round draft pick or two and an expiring contract like Landry Fields to the Timberwolves for Thad Young, at once filling their need for a talented power forward and allowing Amir Johnson to play reserve centre since his body is starting to let him down. I've been thinking the exact same thing (though not always with Thad Young as the trade target, though it makes a great deal of sense) for weeks now.

My birthday is this Thursday, so I'd surely want to see my Rockets take down Brett's Oklahoma City Thunder here in Houston on Thursday (no hard feelings if we beat OKC on that night). Next Saturday, we're hosting the Golden State Warriors.

Happy early birthday! Boo to the Rockets beating the Thunder on Thursday! :D

Even with Kevin Garnett trying to ruffle Dwight Howard's feathers, we still managed to win. Our win was a 113-99 score at the Brooklyn Nets. The Rockets' next game will be the start of a back-to-back. We will be hosted by Orlando on Wednesday followed by us hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday. 26 wins for the Rockets now on the season.

Congratulations to all other winners from Monday.

The best thing about Hassan Whiteside is that he's huge but can also run down the court like a gazelle. Guess who was the first guy down the court on the break after Hassan's blocks? Hassan. He's so ridiculously athletic. He makes other big men look like shambling horrors. There are times when I can't tell who's who running down the court because Hassan moves like a guard.

Hopefully he'll keep it up. All our classic Spo chuck n pray shots now have Hassan under the basket. That's why the Heat are winning again. No more shooting with 17 seconds on the clock while the center is still in transition or floating at the top of the key. Hassan gets to the baseline before the half court offense starts. Thank goodness.

Fans voted, fans will get tonight on NBA TV...

...San Antonio Spurs at Washington Wizards!

Out of the seven games slated for tonight, NBA fans want to see what A6m5's San Antonio Spurs can do in Washington, D.C. in taking on the Wizards. Don't sleep on the Wizards. This could be a pretty competitive game.

Enjoy some NBA hoops tonight, everyone.

Hassan Whiteside had another good game for the Heat, keep it up lad!
Patty Mills brought his 3pt shooting today getting 12pts on 4-6 3pt FG.

Mo Williams scored 52 points to single handedly beat the Pacers.
This is not a typo.

The most random 50pt game since Terrence Ross scored 52!

Heat have expressed interest in Brook Lopez. Nets want to deal him. This would be pretty awesome but I have no idea how the Heat would trade for him. But then again, I'm not well verse in the Dark Riley Arts.

The Bulls have serious issues to work out. They definitely don't look like an ECF contender ever since the calender crossed into 2015.

And great we lost Noah to injury. :grumpy: And the red hot Hawks are up next.

Great. And I want Tony Snell deported to like Guatemala or something. He's a bust.

Because misery loves company, my Rockets lost 120-113 tonight. We lost to one of Dwight Howard's former teams- the Orlando Magic. Our night in Orlando didn't go very well. I'm sure even Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and all the other Disney types were enjoying my Rockets lose in Orlando to the Magic. Up next is the back end of this back-to-back. Oklahoma City's coming to H-Town. So fire up an inner forum rivalry of JohnBM01 and Brett.

Congratulations to all winners from Wednesday... including Orlando.

My Blazers lost too, John. Poor shooting, poor execution. Outside LaMarcus, maybe Lillard a little bit, nobody really impressed me. Clippers didn't even play that well, but we played worse. If Rockets lost, it would've been nice to create some gap between us & the Clips too, but no such luck.

Edit: Wow. I just checked the box & our starting 1(Lillard), 2(Matthews) & 3(Batum) shot combined 24% from the field. 🤬 owned.

Well it won't make you guys feel any better then that the Raptors won today! DeMar DeRozan also returned for 20pts today after missing 21 games.
What might make you feel better though is that they only beat the 76'ers, next game is the Hawks and they're not exactly playing well.

Let's go international! No, not United States and Canada, but one game across the Atlantic Ocean and two more games back here in the USA. THIS is your Thursday schedule for today:

* New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks (London, England, UK)
* Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets (NBA on TNT)
* Cleveland Cavaliers at Los Angeles Lakers (NBA on TNT)

Enjoy today's and tonight's action, everyone.

Oklahoma City's coming to H-Town. So fire up an inner forum rivalry of JohnBM01 and Brett.

Happy birthday! No well wishes for the Rockets tonight (the Thunder need all the wins they can get in the super competitive West), but have a good rest of the day today! 👍

Don't you just love inner-forum rivalries? So, uh... yeah. We wrecked Brett's Thunder 112-101 here in Houston. It is actually refreshing for my favorite teams to WIN on my birthday. More so, this is Kevin McHale's 200th win as a head coach. Big Nasty Beard (James Harden) accounted for 31 points along with 10 assists. A strong first quarter along with strong three-point shooting was the difference in this one. This game vs. Oklahoma City is the first of this three-game home stand. Up next, the Golden State Warriors come on down to H-Town on Saturday followed by the Indiana Pacers on Monday. Sorry, Brett... :sly:

...the 2014-2015 Knicks can't win in America, in Canada, or even in England. The Bucks ran over the now 5-36 Knicks in London. They lost 95-79.

Congratulations to the eventual winner of CLE at LAL.

Rumour is abounds that a three team trade is in the works where OKC gets Brook Lopez, Nets get Lance Stephenson and the Hornets get Jeremy Lamb and Jarret Jack.
What do you think @Brett, would you even want the injury prone Brook Lopez who doesn't seem to be as good as before he got injured? In giving up Lamb the Thunder wouldn't be losing much since they've always refused to play him anyway.

What I don't like about B Lopez is that he's always floating around the perimeter and never seems to get rebounds. You'd think since he's 8 feet tall and built like a wooly mammoth hunter he could thrive in the post and under the basket. Guess not.

I pretty much blocked the game out after the first quarter. It was awful, at least from my perspective.

I believe Kendrick Perkins has to be involved for the trade to actually work salary wise. I am not really sure what to think of Brook Lopez. He has had some moments, but he also has been incredibly injury prone. And for a guy his size, you would think he would get more rebounds. However, assuming he is healthy, he is a big upgrade for the offense.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It is so weird to see Robin Lopez stock above his lottery pick brothers'. RoLo's been a fan favorite in Portland. His game seems to work out really well on both ends of the floor, which is refreshing compared to our last two big centers Pryzybilla & Oden.

Patty Mills with another 18pts for the Spurs today, little legend.:)
Raptors sucked though.:(

It helps that he stays healthy more often.

The Thunder beat the Warriors last night with good games out of Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka, and Dion Waiters and a solid contribution from Anthony Morrow. Russell Westbrook also just put up 17 points, 17 assists, 15 rebounds, and 4 steals.

We failed BAD tonight. Golden State took their anger out on us after dropping the game at Oklahoma City last night. The Houston Rockets got wrecked 131-106. Maybe our luck will improve Monday when the Indiana Pacers come to town. Maybe.

Whether by a single point or some double-digit margin, congratulations to every other winner from Saturday.

Brook just can't stay healthy & I don't know why OKC is trying to go after him considering he has never fully recovered from the same injury Durant suffered last year. He simply has not been the same since.

On tonight's game, Mavs pulled out a good win against a very tough Grizzlies squad. Dirk was mostly quiet through the game until clutch time; the German Wunderkind scored 8 big points in the final minutes to close it up.

Man I have zero faith in the Chicago Bulls right now.

It's Pau. Pau Gasol sucks giant hairy yak balls. He only plays well and puts in effort when he's up against a weak match-up. The rest of the time he's in slow motion. And on defense he doesn't even try. I watched 5 minutes of Bulls vs. Cavs and I had to turn it off because the basketball was SO BAD. Lebron is a fool for choosing the Cavs. He is ruining his potential to be the GOAT. He doesn't look like he belongs in Blatt's system. Compared to him being the maestro of Miami, it's pathetic.

We handled ours today. A 110-98 victory for the Houston Rockets over the Indiana Pacers here in Houston. James Harden was freaking insane- 45 points for "Big Nasty Beard" (as I call him). DH12 accounted for 14 points and 17 rebounds. We are now 29-13 on the season. Up next for us is a three-game West Coast swing- at Golden State on Wednesday, at DCybertron's Phoenix Suns on Friday, and at the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

* Which New will win- New Orleans or New York? At Madison Square Garden, it was New York who snapped their 16-game losing streak with a 99-92 win.

* New York is sorry, and so is Philadelphia. Did the Sixers win? Hell no- 111-76 was the hit Washington put on Philadelphia in Washington, D.C.

* The Los Angeles Clippers held serve at home against the visiting Boston Celtics 102-93.

* If you love teams getting wrecked, here's another one- the Charlotte Hornets swarmed all over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves 105-80.

* Eastern Conference, here is some advice- fear Atlanta. The Detroit Pistons wouldn't go away, but Atlanta still managed to win 93-82.

* The Milwaukee Bucks weren't exactly money today as Paulie's Toronto Raptors went into Milwaukee and won 92-89.

* sumbrownkid's Chicago Bulls fell hard in Cleveland by the score of 108-94.

* McLaren's Dallas Mavericks went into Memphis to take on the Grizzlies, and the Grizz were taken down by the Mavs. It was a 103-95 victory for the Mavs.

Congratulations to these winners and the eventual winners of SAC at POR and LAL at PHX.
