The Rockets also expressed interest in Dragic, and he used to play for us. He could improve any roster as far as I'm concerned.
Unfortunatly, he's not interested in Houston... Which doesn't make sense, because I thought he wanted to be on a winning team. He's more interested in the $$ apparently, considering all these teams have the most upcoming cap space.

The season resumes tomorrow night. Every game from here on out is towards making the playoffs and going for an NBA Championship. How do you all assess your team(s) moving forward?

The only quick assessment I'll make about my Rockets is that I hope my Rockets can continue to play hard and win. You can't stub your toes too much in the (yeah- I'll use this analogy) Wild Wild Western Confernce. Consistency and finding ways to win are most important to me in regards to my Rockets. They have to keep playing hard and bring that same intensity to the Playoffs should they make it into the Playoffs this season.

Good luck to all of your team(s) moving forward. Anyone else want to make assessments on teams or share your thoughts on the remainder of the season?

Dragic needs the ball to do his work as a Point Guard & run the offense. Harden, however, will not allow that. He's already said publicly that the Rockets were, "His & Howard's team".

I would love for the Heat to pick up Dragic. Send over Norris Cole, Chalmers, and McBob. The emergence of Hassan Whiteside really throws a wrench in all the Heat's offseason additions. We literally don't need McBob anymore. I read in the paper that Dragic was on the Heat radar anyway. Now with these rumors it might spur Riley to make a move.

Former Blazer Jerome Kersey passed away today. He was only 52. It's reported that the cause of death is not known, but it had something to do with his heart?

He was a great hustle player, very popular with the Rip City fans. Even after retirement, he worked with the team, so you saw him around on game nights. I got to say "hi" one time during dinner right before the game. It was kind of funny, because I was there with my coworker who claimed that Kersey was his favorite player as a kid.

I walk up to Kersey smiling, "there's the hardest working Blazer ever!". He chuckled saying "thanks man!" & we shook hands. I tell about it to my Kersey fan buddy & he get's all excited & walks over there. Apparently, there was another girl hoping to say hi to the man.

They both got snubbed. My coworker buddy, he hadn't cared for Kersey since. :P He may forgive him now though. You guys probably don't even know who he was, but here's to Jerome "Mercy" Kersey. RIP.

I would like to see that as well, not sure if they'd get him that cheap though.

My condolences go out to Jerome Kersey and all whom known and loved him. Tough transition, but the NBA will be back to work tonight! Two of the NBA's three Texas teams are in action in tonight's two games:

* DAL Mavericks at OKC Thunder
* SA Spurs at LAC Clippers

Every game the rest of the way is all about making and advancing to the Playoffs. Enjoy tonight's action.

[UPDATE] I forgot to mention... today is the Trade Deadline. So any team still has a chance to make some trades. Any team looking to improve will need to make a trade or two.

Riley did it. We got him! Dragic is Goran to South Beach!

WTH just happened anyway? Some very surprising trades indeed, like Garnett to the Wolves.

In advance of tonight's matches, I want to hope for the best for Chris Bosh. I hope he will be okay considering his health condition.

On a lighter note, happy 52nd birthday, Charles Barkley! :)

Damn Mavs giving me a near heart attack, nearly losing the game. Necessary win though, after last night. Seeds 3-6 could be anyone's.

Raptors blew out the East best Hawks, Cavs dropped the Wizards, Pistons dropped Bulls, Heat won over the Knicks, Ingles is back from injury (scored 8pts) and at half time it seems Baynes is working on another solid outing (8pts so far). Pretty good day for me.:dopey:

So according to Mclaren and confirmed... we failed 111-100 at Dallas. That's now eight losses in the nine games against the Mavericks (7 losses out of 8 games heading into this match) for the Rockets.

Congrats to all other Friday winners.

OH NO! It's confirmed Bosh is out for the season with blood clots. Kendrick Perkins is also set to make the Cavs a worse team.

Double-double for Baynes against Golden State. 12pts & 10 boards, better than solid I'd say. 👍

It's great, he seems to be a permanent fixture on the Spurs rotation now as well.

Edit: Well done Rockets, well done.

It was USA vs. Canada tonight here in Houston. America's team- the Houston Rockets. Canada's team- the Toronto Raptors. America won. Like, 98-76 won. The Houston Rockets were proud to come home and get a win after losing last night in Dallas. I was real concerned because Paulie's Toronto Raptors is NOT a sorry team. I had my concerns about this game. Still, it was a great win for us.

If your team(s) won today/tonight, congratulations! If not, better luck next time.

One last note... it is good that Chris Bosh is resting comfortably after being diagnosed with having a blood clot in his lungs. Very scary. I wish him the best in recovering.

Good game for Dallas vs. Charlotte. Amar'e's debut started slow and it seemed like he wasn't intent on passing the ball out, but as the game went on, they revealed that was Carlisle's plan; to get him involved & build his confidence. Ended up doing pretty well, immediately showing his value as a rebounded for when Chandler is on a breather. 5-8 for was his FG, iirc, and Ellis lit back up in the 4th after shaky mid-time shooting.

And Richard Jefferson went for the throwback! Called for a BS offensive, but got the crowd pumped.

BS offensive foul alright, I've seen 100 Blake Griffin poster aggressive layups (he calls them dunks) that were more an offensive foul than that. Jefferson sure did destroy him though.

The Minnesota Timberwolves came down to H-Town thinking win, but we tamed the T-Wolves 113-102 tonight. James Harden recorded a triple-double: 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Andrew Wiggins for MIN accounted for 30 of Minnesota's points. This is win #38(?) for the Rockets as we are now 38-18(?) and 3rd in the Western Conference standings with Golden State and Memphis ahead of us.

Congratulations to Monday's other winners.

That's nothing. Meet Henry Walker:

Our D-league guys have been... hot :sly:

Henry Walker. Who does this guy think he is, Vince Carter? Just pulling your leg, mate. :) That was a sick dunk!

Henry Walker's dunk was definitely crazy, but he had an open lane.

That was 2005-era Jefferson posterizing MKG; dude used to be a beast on the Nets with Kidd.

Time for another NBA Fan Night, where NBA fans pick a game they want to see. This week:

...the Indiana Pacers at the Oklahoma City Thunder!

So NBA fans want to see Brett's OKC Thunder host the boys from Indianapolis and put on a show in Oklahoma City. Three other games are on tonight as well.

Enjoy some NBA hoops tonight.

It's official- Kevin Garnett has been introduced as the new Minnesota Timberwolves owner. Best of luck to the Big Ticket in his new venture.

Is he owner as well? If that's confirmed, does that make him the first ever owner/player?
