The NBA preseason is starting to heat up.. Not just on the court.

According to Yahoo sports, Matt Barnes reportedly attacked Knicks "coach" Derek Fisher for allegedly sleeping with his wife.

I mean, what's the NBA without Matt Barnes doing something like this?

Don't forget, in just the first Jazz preseason game, Booker got ejected for slapping Roy Hibbert in the face.

Edit: Julius Randle of the Lakers is pretty good for a young fella. I don't know about this season, but I think the Lakers won't have to wait long to rebuild after the Kobe era, they're already halfway there.

If you're following the Preseason games, what player(s) have impressed you so far?

Julius Randle, as I mentioned in my last post. Towns also debuted with 18pts. Lowry has been pretty good in his two games so far which is great to see, he lost a lot of weight in the offseason.

There's only been one Suns game so far, so It'd be Jon Leuer.

(He also had 17 Pts 13 rebounds in a little under 18 minutes, so I was pleasantly surprised from that.)

Otherwise, Marco Belineli has been getting consistent minutes in Sacramento and is putting up good numbers.

Long over due. Fisher is a POS as a person.

A little heads-up... if you got ESPN2, there is an NBA Preview show on right now with their own preview of the upcoming season.

Flip Saunders has died from complications of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The former Minnesota Timberwolves head coach was 60 years old. My condolences go out to all whom have known and loved him. With the season set to start in a few days, it's sad to have a moment like this. Maybe this will invigorate the T-Wolves to play in honor of the now late Flip Saunders.

Going to be rough on the team with the regular season only days away. I wonder if the assistant coach will takeover.

I thought Flip had actually stepped down a month or two ago to fight it, but it's really sad news indeed. Like @Stavingo said, very sudden.

Didn't know that. On 2K, he's still the head coach whenever I play the TWolves.

Wow, nice spotting @McLaren never noticed that on my version of 2K16, either that or I don't play the Wolves too often

Not long till regular season starts, not keen to see my Pellies go up against GSW for the season opener.

A big, round ball bounces around on a wooden floor. That could mean only one thing- basketball is back! Tonight begins the new season of NBA basketball. Everyone wants to be where the Golden State Warriors was last season- hoisting up the O'Brien Trophy and earning the title of NBA Champion. All 30 NBA teams say it's their year and that they will win the championship. All 30 want to be there, but only 16 can prove themselves to be among the better teams in the league. Before you can have any championship hopes, you must first make the Playoffs.

To all fans of whatever team or teams, good luck to all of your team(s) this season. Make the most of this upcoming season and play hard!

Pau Gasol rejecting Lebron? Didn't see that coming.

Looks like the Hoiberg regime started on a good note. His balanced use of the line up was actually refreshing. No player went over 40 minutes.

Big first day of hoops! The three Aussies had respectable all-round games, though not spectacular. Was surprised to see The Brow go 1-15. Curry came back in style dropping 24pts in the first quarter and 40 on the game. Pau Gasol really did a number on Lebron with that block.:)

Hopefully they leave it that way in honour of him.👍

The 2015-2016 NBA season began last night, but tonight is ESPN/ABC's debut to the 2015-2016 season. This is also when just about every other team plays their first games of the season. So get ready for the first Wednesday of NBA basketball for this season. Here are the two games to be shown on ESPN tonight:

* SA Spurs at OKC Thunder
* MIN Timberwolves at LAL Lakers

Meanwhile, my Houston Rockets will host the Denver Nuggets. A number of ex-Rockets are on this Denver squad including Kostas Papanikolaou. Ladies and gentlemen... enjoy tonight's action and good luck to all of your teams this season.

So far, so bad. Even with Dwight Howard being benched as a result of Flagrant Foul trouble from the previous season's playoffs, the Rockets start the 2015-2016 miserably: 105-85 defeat to the Denver Nuggets. Texans fans hoping the Rockets can provide therapy were disappointed tonight.

81 games left, so there's lots of time to fade this funk. Congratulations to all other teams, including Denver spanking my Rockets.

@JohnBM01

Season still in its infancy and lot of the play is sloppy. It's usually 10-15 games in when teams finally find their rhythm.

As for the Bulls, Rose back to showing his speed and for the most part his eye injury is not slowing him down. Mirotic is looking like he improved his game as well McDermott. Really surprised by Etwuan moore's play. Why didn't Thibs play him more? And Jimmy Butler is really looking like he rightfully earned his fat pay day.

Welcome to the first Thursday night of the 2015-2016 NBA season! Thursday night in the NBA is kind of like Monday night in the NFL. This first Thursday night of the season features three games for your enjoyment, two of them on the NBA on TNT. Check out tonight's card:

* MEM Grizzlies at IND Pacers
* ATL Hawks at NY Knicks (NBA on TNT)
* DAL Mavericks at LAC Clippers (NBA on TNT)

So among us GTPlaneteers, we're going to see how McLaren's Mavericks do against the Clip Joint in L.A. Enjoy tonight's action if you'll be following the NBA tonight!

Thought the Raptors would lose their first game as I followed it, they had no offence in the first half, it was sad to watch. But they overcame a 16pt deficit and pulled out a W. Delly had 12pts in the Cavs' second game which was good to see.:)
Some of the rookies impressed me on their opening games, how good was Okafor with 26pts? A number of them had really high turnovers though. Mudiay for the Nuggets had something like 17pts, 9ast and 11 turnovers.

Twenty-point spread in the Rockets' second game of the 2015-2016 season, with us again on the losing end. This time, a 112-92 fail for the Rockets hosting the Golden State Warriors. It's safe to say this is either a slow start or the Rockets slowly losing their fire and almsot being like the 2015 Texans right now. Rockets still winless. This right now is NOT the team that beat everybody's brains out to be one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA. This Rockets bunch is the team that stubs their toes one too many times and can't get it together to play winning basketball.

So glad NBA is back, some really eye popping plays and stat lines in the league today.:D Firstly, my Raptors rolled the Celtics and Delly recorded 10ast for the Cavs. Mills also had a good game for the Spurs.
Andre Drummond had a 20-20 game in an OT win over the Bulls, Detroit is 3-0 (hoping they make the playoffs). Karl A-T had a big double for the Wolves (was it 26pts?), which apparently makes him the first teenager to record back-to-back double-doubles in his first two games in NBA history, though I'm not sure if that's official.
Thunder-Magic was a classic, though not nearly had Westbrook not banked a three from just inside the halfway line to send it to OT.

The Houston Rockets don't play tonight, but their first away game and first back-to-back begins tomorrow night. We are at Omnis' Miami Heat followed by hosting Brett's Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday Night. A stat I read this morning is that the 2015-2016 Houston Rockets became the second-ever team to start a season with back-to-back home losses of at least 20 points since the 1972 Portland Trail Blazers. Yay, us...

The season is still young. Any other teams without a win so far better hope things get much better quickly before you feel like being a front runner for NBA Draft picks.

Is Steph Curry getting better?! 53pts today including 28 in the 3rd quarter. Amazing.

I, like a lot of people, don't think the Golden State Warriors are going to repeat as champs. Their team is beast right now, but I don't know of them having a repeat performance of beating everybody down the way they did last season. Of course, we'll see what Golden State is like when April rolls around.

Trifecta of fail for my Houston Rockets. We lost by 20 to Denver in our first game. We lost by 20 to Golden State in our second game. Tonight in Miami... we lost by 20: 109-89. I don't know what the m:censored:f:censored: is wrong with my f:censored:ing Houston Rockets, but this bulls:censored: is m:censored:f:censored:ing unacceptable for a team that can play much better than this s:censored:ty team is f:censored:ing playing right f:censored:ing now. If we lose by 20 (or more) hosting the OKC Thunder, I'll let you know just how s:censored: we are this season. Rockets STILL winless.

Damn, three straights L's for my Pellies and injury bug has hit us hard, don't think we can get that playoff spot this year :(

ROCKETS [finally] WIN!!! Praise the Lord! We can't go 0-82 any longer. We thunderstruck the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 110-105 victory. James Harden finally woke the hell up and cashed in 37 points to lead all scorers. OKC's Kevin Durant accounted for 29 points for the Thunder. Rockets now 1-3 on the season with this win. It would have been better if the Rockets won by 20... or by 60 the way this season started. Rockets became the first team in NBA history to lose the first three games by 20+ points.

Congratulations to other winners, even those other winless teams that finally got their first win, like Milwaukee.
