what a great race. pushed clint as hard as i could using the draft to keep up. went for an extra lap on hards but blew it when i lost track of the wheel coming out of a corner and turned into a wall lol.after stop was with vh and battled to the end. silly move by me in the lasxt chicane ruined a great race. well done vh and clint and great battle with both of you

Watched a bit of the replay. The amount of times we had a braking battle was absolutely harrowing. It was a real mix between saving tyres and putting in fast enough laps you couldn't pass.

Had perfect in and out laps and a fairly easy run to the line after you dropped back. Don't think I could have handled another 15 laps with Chance up my arse.

Awesome day all round

With no practice under my belt I never expected anything great today, despite my result last time in the silvias. Made a few stupid mistakes but even without them was not up to the pace of the lead three. Somehow managed my pit strategy right to get me well in front of Emu, who nipped at my heels but didn't make up any major ground post pitting. All in all was glad to finish ahead of where I qualified as my lap times were far from consistant.
Well done Clint, your addition to this series will push us all to up our game a little.

What a race guys top 3 amazing performance. Frutti nearly mate lol next week aye. Had a shocker myself but grin and bounce back faster next week, :scared:

Well had a tussle with manoc for a bit decided to test the soft tyre durability at lap ten can safely say that any more than 15 laps on softs and you start to lose time lol. One thing though is that at least I had a decent lap on my softs with a fat fuel load. Thanks guys enjoy the racing with you guys.

great racing today guys, had a ball, got away to a good start..got ahead of auts but he was soon nipping at my heals and made a clean pass on me..my strategy then was to try and stay behind auts to help me get pulled along with his momentum, which worked for a while and we were gaining on emu..i think it was lap 13 or 14 I made an early pitty which i'd seen manoc do and pay with dividends...I came out just in front of manoc and about 6 or 7 secs behind rage, I knuckled down got past rage then saw auts(whom I must say I was gunning for)pit..i settled down trying to stay smooth and consistant and keep my sizable lead on auts with a closely following emu..but eventually they inexorably wore me down and with 5 or so laps to go auts got past and then a couple more later emu did the same..i was still happy with my run today, congrats to clint, who is always super quick and also to chance who seems to be racing on a whole new level these days, also well done mik who if not winning is constantly in the top 3..bad luck to manoc and rage..i know how frustrating it is to be doing laps seemingly the whole race by yourself but of course you'll both bounce back..thanks auts and emu for some great racing, cheers guys

Haha, I knew you were gunning for me mate, kept me honest and pushed me to my best lap when I decided enough was enough and made a break, it worked but I ended up in the sand which had you back on my six lol. I'm struggling to stay smooth with a subi, its too tempting to burn it through the corners wearing out the fronts. Practice is in order!

I know how you feel auts, you turn in think everything is ok open the throttle only to be back on brake to stop running wide very frustrating car

round 3 Laguna. please be very mindful that if you run off track your tyres will be dirty for around 2 corners and to stay wide and slowly build up speed. unfortunately I can not not open room till 3pm. 5pm nz time. if this is an issue let me know so I can make plans. thanks Tim

Corkscrew with worn tyres should be fun.

It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's an under steering missile

had an early off on lap 1 then started to get it back together. could go with the lead 2 but couldnt catch them. autech started to close in but after auts had a mess up entering the pits was on my own on the softs. had an early dig then slowed down to save the tyres. saw auts slowly closing in so then had a bit more of a go from lap 40 to 44 then relaxed till the end. great job by the top 2 again

Top race guys, well done clint on win. you front runners where amazingly fast. Had a epic battle with luke whole race, top job luke would have been hard with me up ya clacker got in front once but cracked under pressure. And auts you where right ya had me goosed. So much fun racing with top racers thx guys.

VH-Mik and I had an epic battle. Two wide through the corkscrew had me puckering up at one stage. Wasn't able to slow down much at all because the hill and the straight meant Mik was there every time.

Hards were working but the wear on the softs was much more erratic. Made a few simple mistakes and couldn't pull away. We hit the back runners and these gave me a tow which helped a lot. In the end 1 lap fresher tyres for the win

All of this was done without every important brake marker on the track... Brake markers are your friend:sly:

Yes I would like to thank whoever decided to take out the brake markers, you had me dreaming up new ways to pick my braking spots :D. On other tracks I have alternate spots like a shadow or similar, but the dessert lacks such things.

Top racing no_chance, sorry bout my muck up entering the pits, it would have been a much more interesting race other wise.

I struck early and took emu on the first corner, I then settled in to a rhythm and started putting some pressure on my coffee buddy Luke. He unfortunately got caught out by the left hander after the corkscrew and handed me 4th. After that I just kept banging out the high 25 low 26 lap times attempting to close with Chance. At the end of lap 24 I saw him pit and decided to get in there rather than risking Chance having another lap on softs than me. I burnt in to the pit lane way to fast and ended up front on to the wall, causing the computer driver to do a 30 point turn. I estimate this cost me around 15 seconds. After that it was a very lonely race apart from a few lappers. Good news was that I didn't lose much more time on the leader so I know I was on pace. Well done to clint and VH, hopefully I can join you up there at some stage. Looks like the best racing was for 1-2 and 5-7, hope you guys had a blast!

Another super fast race up front well done guys. That will be my last race in this series its been fun and i have improved a great deal since racing with you all and made some good friends. I will stick with the saturday night sports tyre series as its a lot closer racing and thats why i got involved in no tune racing. Thanks Mr Rage and Mr Chance you guys are ledgends.

Gunna be missed mate... But a manoc's gotta do what a manoc's gotta do... lol

Mr manoc is right. the pace up front is way to hot for some of us and to be battling around the back each week is no fun. if it helps Mr manoc and a few others I am happy to have 2 tier racing. thdose who want will stay in level 1 using the subi and for those interested can have a rm golf for level 2. might help some of you with closer racing and more fun. let me know your thoughts

Hey guys,

Unfortunately I will have to pull out of the series. I joined NCR for fun and to relax on a Sunday afternoon and have a drive with some top blokes. The past couple of races my ultra competitive side has come out and I'm finding myself getting really frustrated in myself when i do the smallest if errors, which is not what the NCR is about. My resignation from the series is not due any of the drivers nor the way the series is run as this is one of the best racing series I have been in, just my frustration in my self is getting worse (shouldn't do hill climb racing before jumping on GT5:).

So thank you all for all of the racing. I might do a couple of guest appearances to keep everyone on their toes if its ok'd by mr chance and rage.

Cheers guys
Mick

Fellas,

I'm a late comer. I'd rather bow out than ruin a series. I'm super competitive that's just a flaw, but I understand the frustration of not keeping up. The Subi suits my style of driving and I'm much faster than I was in the Silvia.

Anyway don't quit, my wife will be happy to get me back on Sundays.

Awesome racing all round though, nice to have a group that follows the rules and races well.

Cheers.

Nooo!! Everyone is leaving!

Would it help those that are leaving to run a lower powered car? In my experience I find the higher PP generally leads to a greater gap in lap times... Just a thought but I think we were on to a good thing with a under 500pp Silvias... I like the Subaru but it is tricky to work with and that could be taking some of the fun away from the series.

I don't want anyone to leave. what we have here is the best bunch of clean fun racers I have found on gt5. best thing to do is lets have a week off. anyone who is available on Sunday arvo from 1 please join me in my lounge so we try a few things. the only reason why the racing is so good on Sunday is because of the people we have doing it. not the cars but you are right Mr auts lower ppis much closer racing
