Are people seriously talking about this still?

Yes, it's a big issue for me.

The 65 mustang final gear is ratiod so low down the RPM range, that when you get on a hill, you are STUCK, yes STUCK IN THIS STUPID GEAR unless you slow down and it shifts down, or you get hit. It is a poor choice to not even have the choice of manual, I lost the race because of this and can't complete it until i performance upgrade my car to have more power, BEFORE I hit this damn hill bend were all the AI drivers rubberband past you at like nearly double the speed...

It's a concerning problem in general because so many cars would function, drive, handle, and reach top speed a lot better on surfaces if the auto-tranny wasn't so crap.

I will admit, it's not 100% aweful, 40-50% of the time most cars are fine, flat surfaces, fine, smaller engined cars, fine.

But the mustang, and a couple others, hills, drifting (LOL at drifting in automatic..) and certain races that are designed to rubberband so badly, it's a real, concerning issue.

Oh and let's not forget the SPEED CAPS ON CARS. Welcome back speed caps, this always was a decision I really dislike.

Overall i am still really 50/50 on this game, I am desperate to like it but...so far, it's hard to enjoy it when there is so much that feels like it's half done.

Oh hey look, body kits do exist for the Foxbody, and one was even a speedhunters feature car.

Very few of the cars shown have a body kit and the ones that do are either one-offs, or old enough that finding one to model would be a bit difficult. Of course, they could simply make their own which would resolve the issue somewhat.

It would help if you can tune transmission or gearing like in Underground 2, but all of the tuning screens so far led me to believe it's not in the game. Double fail.

Speed caps are also artificial and should go. More and more this game is looking like a console port of No Limits.

Well...funnily enough, I am hoping the PC delay may include more than just the unlocked framerate, such as wheel support and MT. I know it's not a sim, nor am i asking for a sim experience, but if they play to keep NFS15 going all the way into spring 2016, then, well...who knows??

@LeGeNd-1 well yeah exactly, which solved every problem i ever had with any car (which to be fair, was only the SUV's)

It doesn't feel like NFS15 is it's own entity, it feels like it's been scaled down from the original vision, is this just a 10 hour trial EA access thing? Doubt it. It's two sides of coin, everything that works, works well, everything that doesn't really does not at all. Hence why I am still 50/50 about this game.
 
I simply can't understand how the bn sports kit, which is pretty much exactly the same barring lights and such, wasn't modeled for the S15, FD3S, NA1 NSX, R32, R34, JZA80 Supra, or NA Miata.. I mean come on, that's basically a free extra kit they could've added to all those cars and you clearly have the licensing or whatever. Vertex too, they have multiple kits for cars in this game yet only one was made. Blows my mind. You have these resources. Use them.
 
Well, it is a trial, the final copy might be subject to change.
As someone who has had EA Access since it was still in beta I must say this is very wishful thinking. The game won't have a patch for things besides maybe the painting glitch. For the most part this is the game as even you are allowed to unlock achievements, play online, and essentially beat the story during the "trial" it's more like a rental period.
 
How about we make a thread with a list of cars on what level of visual customization do they have. For example; BRZ level(cars that have every customizable option available.)

Thought I need to buy the game for early access, was surprised I only needed to drop down $5 for EA Access. Just started downloading so 2% lol

Well i watched some customization videos and supra have 2 front bumpers . Evo has no any headlights . Almost every car has 2 or maybe 3 bumpers or no custom head-tail lights . Is this the deep customization ? Really ? I hope more bumpers will unlock through your progress but , i have no hope actually . And theese "free contents" better not gonna be some lame vinly and stickers stuff .
