I really like how some of the screens show the cars really dirty and grimey. Then again the sight of a dirty zonda is almost enough to bring a tear to the eye
Will there be any car wash in the game??Nearly all the cars are dirty, which gives me the impression they will become dirty very easily very quickly, like a month's worth of racing in a couple laps.
The game looks good in pics, I hope a Holden (or rebadged Holden) gets into it. I also hope the gameplay is more fun than it looks.
So far the screenshots look pretty nice, and I hope this game can different physics modes (STD or PRO) just like GT5 Prologue. If that happens, I'd be happy enough.
You'd be surprised how dirty a car can get within 10 laps.Nearly all the cars are dirty, which gives me the impression they will become dirty very easily very quickly, like a month's worth of racing in a couple laps.
Perhaps it went into the dirt?I have never seen a V8 Supercar get as dirty as that RX-7 up there.
If the simulation can at very least equal that of gtr which is a bit dated these days, it will be light years ahead for the NFS series.
That's a nice idea Paulie. 👍 It can provide a more personalized race driver, which is representing ourselves.I wonder if we can customise our race suit and helmet, that'd be a nice effect. Strange to think we have to wait for an NFS game, and that it might actually be good. Time will tell. Anybody know when the demo is coming out on PSN?
For the demo, I think it'll be out some weeks before the game release.
I forgot about when exactly they (EA) released their ProStreet Demo before the game launched. Anyone remember??So still a few months away?

Im pretty sure there was a Pro Street demo on PS3. Then then decided not to do one for Undercover.
IIRC there wasn't a Pro Street demo, because they knew nobody would buy the game if they seen how crap it was.
I hope we can tone down the blur somehow in the options. I probably won't notice it after a while, but it's still really heavy on the blur.
I believe the demo came out a few weeks before launch of the game. I had downloaded and tried it but didn't like the fact you could not change the button configuration on the controller (Pre DFGT). I had also read all the negative reviews about the game also which is why I never tried the full version of the game. After a few months and I found the game on sale for $29 I tried it out. It was not a really bad game in my opinion it did have a fun factor to it. I really like the Drag Racing portion of the game mostly. That was until I played online and people were cheating and doing the 5 second runs. Put the car in 5th and NOS off the line, what kinda crap is that. I still pop the game in just to Drag race every once in awhile.
I certainly hope that EA pulls it off with NFS Shift, I have been a long time fan of the series but Undercover was just a total flop.
Demo will be released about month before full game hits the stores (half of September).
You don't have a source for that do you?
Sounds good. The game is looking impressive, hopefully the gameplay is as impressive.
I bought the ProStreet game when it's released, and I don't understand why so many people are saying the game is a total crap...
well, I've been playing the game for quite some time and found it quite enjoyable at times, if you consider it as an arcade game. If people want realistic racing games, they could have bought GT or other PC sims.
I like the way that there's a host speaking to the crowd (which talks about information of the entrants) when I enter an event. I found it quite funny when I heard the host saying things about Ryan Cooper. It's like playing a role-play game.
And yes, I like burning tyres before starting drag races indeed.
Although the handling of the cars isn't presented in a realistic way, it somehow introduces 'drag racing' to players.
Back to the topic though, I hope EA would release a demo for SHIFT before the game launches.
besides I'm insider ;-)
