I can confirm the Evo IX accelerates like it's engaged warp speed with the Forged 4B11T swap. Only issue is it's still a bit understeery because it's AWD.

TFW the Polestar can be used in No limits but not in heat where is the cover/hero car (yet)...

My guess is that the KS Polestar probably will show up as part of their live service updates, probably a new driving story with the car being a reward at the end.
Maybe something with Joe returning and you helping him get back in Ana's good graces by racing with him.

Not the first time the boys at Ghost pull this stunt of withholding stuff that could be there at launch only to make the game seem more alive in the long run with "live service". Last game was purposely not releasing 6 cars that were part of the official announced car list, showed up in trailers and screenshots and were usable by the AI in the final game only to become abandoned cars a few months later.

Update on my end:
I recently finally got my cars in the 200s. Well, my 'Cuda and NSX-R. The NSX-R right now has become my primary car.
I started with an e30 M3, then bought an e46 M3 before getting the other two. It's been fun trying each race and doing these random challenges around the streets. The cops are still frustrating, but I'm finally am able to deal with them well at least.

The Exige would need an engine swap right?

Yes, sorry, I didn't mention it, but yes, these little cars need engine swap.
I didn't unlock "Ultimate" parts, only "Elite+", and these cars are between 375 and 390 (class).

Also, anyone know what classic muscle is the one to own in terms of.. everything? I'm inclined towards the Charger.

I'm a fan of classic muscle, and I keep original engines, I notice a majority of these had same handling and performance, maybe the Plymouth Barracuda the best one.

Oh nice, thanks. I've always had my eye on the Cuda, now I think I'll work for getting it and comparing it to the Charger.

I'm definitely a fan of keeping the original engines. Take from me in the Mustang Boss, carrying my favorite car sound (no relation of it being my favorite muscle car of all time) in this game, and I'm definitely not swapping that big boy's engine.

So I just saw this post on reddit in regards to drift tuning. Apparently, the combination of On-Road suspension + Drag Tires + Showcase Diff works pretty well. At the very least, it works well on that guy's RX7. I tried the setup on my 3 drift cars (350Z, 240Z & 180SX) and the difference was night and day, and almost mimics Paybacks drift handling. My 350Z, which previously was my worst drift car by a country mile, is now as competitive as the 240Z, which appears to be just a strong a drifter as it was in Payback.

There are a couple noticeable downsides, though. For one, the car is a bit slow to fully transition into a drift. This was particularly noticeable on my 180SX, which by default is quite grippy and doesn't have a big drift angle to work with, making it a particular pain. While it would hold a drift very well, getting it to actually drift with any urgency and increasing angle was lackluster. Secondly, this setup makes the car suffer in ultra low-speed corners. On tight 90 degree or harpin turns, a hard tug of the handbrake may be necessary to start a drift. Due to the high grip of the drag tires, power-over drifting is also pretty difficult, so make sure to have brake-to-drift enabled if you're using this setup.

While this setup is a great baseline for a RWD drift car, it's not perfect, nor will it work on every car. For example, on my 240Z I noticed that I wasn't getting the high scores that I used to, despite the better handling. Switching to Showcase suspension solved my woes in that regard. Some experimenting is further needed, nut I would definitely say this is one of the better combos for drift cars.

From a few pages back this is what worked for me perfectly. Completed every drift activity event with the srt viper easily.

Is it within the realm of possibility that there maybe a single player REP level increase pass 50?

Hope so. Also hoping for:

Every event available at 400+ instead of only a limited set of events
Difficulty level above Hard

Same as you, It's the only cars I don't swap engines (sound, correct performances).
As I check this thread, my game is open, so I could share class ranking of each classic muscle cars, with "Elite+" parts: Camaro SS (334), Mustang Boss 302 (371), Mercury Cougar (340), Mustang '65 (332), Charger (359), Firebird (357), Barracuda (367).

I took a side route with the Cuda when it comes to giving it parts.

Instead of challenging the Charger (heh, Dodge puns), I went for a more.. classic car movie route with the Cuda, and made it an offroading muscle, upped to the max, with stock clutch and gearbox. I did put a supercharger, but that allowed me to put it into off-roading races and 3 star activities to get bank on the roll.

This is probably the most satisfying thing I've ever got my hands on ever since I converted my street racing G-Wagen to a drifting machine.

Just an FYI, the horsepower stats are fake. It's a set number for each engine.

If you wanna compare two engines, you're better going off of torque and top speed.

I don't understand why the initial offroad story mission starts at 240... I bought a 93 Skyline to turn into a rally machine but I can't get it anywhere near 240 with the parts I have unlocked, engine swaps included. And you can't progress the story missions unless you win... Eventually it will be my offroad car but for now it's just collecting dust.

Far as I know, the first off road mission hands you a rented MY08 Subie.

And maybe go out at night, if your part collection at the time seems a bit lacking. Don't think parts are story tied.

Right but the driving story after that, which I assumes unlocks more offroad races, makes you bring a car and you have to win. And yeah, I guess that's what I'll have to do... I'm just having a bit of buyer's remorse since my Skyline is kind of useless for now haha.

So I got busted in the cheapest way possible. As I crested a hill I t-boned a cop and promptly flew off the road into the trees. Anyone who plays this game will know how the physics can get really crazy in those situations. As I'm trying to get back onto the road I get hit hard from the rear and that was that, busted. Even my family who was half watching at the time wondered how such a thing was possible to go from nearly full HP to zero in 15 seconds.

Because Most wanted fanboys always wanted a muh story in a nfs game.

Stories in a racing game have always been cringe. Carbon and Most wanted themselves had cringy stories that made no sense at all.
Agreed. Heat's story is pretty dumb, but at the very least it's unobtrusive. And I haven't finished but so far it doesn't take itself too seriously. And at least it's not FMVs with Ken Block.

Honestly? I felt like I genuinely enjoyed Heat's story and characters in spite of how short the game was.

Shaw should've gotten more screen time though, dude's basically a gift from God every time he shows up.
