Disregard game name. Like Burnout? You'll like this game.

It's early but I'm already willing to share my username for online challenges here with you guys. Add me if you want a cooperative and attentive assistant for such.

Marrussia B2??? Didn't expected a car like this here.

Sorry for bad quality, I took this from the stream.

Well the SL sounds more like a Mercedes than it did in HP3. I'm also glad it lost tremendously more speed in a drift than it did in HP3. This means that the SL is no longer as overpowered and that the drifting mechanic isn't the same as it was in HP3.

Another thing I wanted to point out is how the takedown camera doesn't exist. That's perfect for setting records because it used to mess up your car's momentum.

^^ Good car spotting, I was wondering the past few hours what that blue car was.

^It seems that they added some rumble throughout and removed the high rpm 'artificial-ness' (for lack of better word) compared with the HP2010 sound sample.

Compared with random YouTube videos and the Top Gear review though, I personally find it a bit too 'raw' still. It even reminds me too much of the racing trucks from Motorstorm. (Not that it's a problem. Instead, I hope cars with more 'well known' notes like the V12 Lambos and M3s are better taken care off.)

The real sound is amazingly smooth and subdued for such a powerful car since it's a massive, relatively low-revving, 36 valve Mercedes V12 with 2 turbos.

If you guys want some producer blurb before the same gameplay as above:

Also spotted a MP4-12C near the end of the race and the idea of putting Autolog profile pictures on the billboards is interesting.

Stock cars (based on the video) seem to have the slightly exaggerated straight line performance of the original MW. This is a really good thing if all stock cars are equally 'boosted' in performance unlike the higher tiers in pretty much every NFS after MW.

Gameplay looks amazing!!! I just love the idea of every car being unlocked when you first play except you have to find them. Good seeing the Huayra in the multiplayer trailer. Now, they just need to have a Zonda (either Cinque or 760RS) and Arrinera Hussarya and it will be perfect icing on the cake for me. Also, I've just found some updated cover work for the PS3 version, with Move compatibility!!!

Looks like it will have features with the Racing Wheel, I presume.

As much as I'm still dissapointed by the fact that there will be no or very little customization or the fact that they're surfing on the Most Wanted name and it simply being BP2 with real cars - this game is looking really good. Some more footage and a demo and it's most definitely a purchase for me.

I spotted this in their official website:
Modifications
Modify your car. Play to your strengths.

Everything you do in Most Wanted earns you Speed Points, increases your Speed Level and unlocks Modifications. Upgrade your tires, chassis, body and suspension. Switch colours. Add license plates. Rollout in style. Enhance your car’s natural strengths, whether that’s straight-line speed, off-road performance or strength and durability. Or address its weaknesses. Improve the F-150 Raptor’s top speed, get the Corvette driving well off-road or add strength to the Arial Atom. This is just the start, you can expect to see even more modifications in the full game.
If you saw the gamescom video you will notice that they added something different compared to the first Most Wanted. In this one instead of going to a shop to add performance packages you earn mods from races, now for example the Aston Martin V12 Vantage came with Stock Body, Stock Chasis, Stock Power Train, Stock Tyres and no nitrous and just a little further when they changed to the Mercedes it had the same stock stuff except for the Burn nitrous. If you pay attention when the guy was starting the event you would notice 1st place: off-road tyres, 2nd place: track tyres.

This game is really looking to be something. Except for the cover that is, being ugly and having the filthy lie "only on playstation" on it.

GamesCom 2012 Demo Gameplay

Same video I posted in post #452. Still a great video. They really should have just called this Burnout Paradise 2. At this point this game is a purchase for me. I loved BP1 and BP2 looks amazing but now with cops and 12 player co-op challenges instead of 8 player co-op challenges.

This is a really good thing if all stock cars are equally 'boosted' in performance unlike the higher tiers in pretty much every NFS after MW.

If you're referring to overall balancing that made no sense such as a full-tuned golf matching a fully-tuned R34 in Underground, then I agree because now everyone doesn't stick to the same old cars every time.

Marrussia B2 in Need For Speed Most Wanted
Marussia_2.jpg

Electronic Arts announced the TM, the new sports car Marussia B2 appears in the racing action movie Need for Speed Most Wanted, which is a creator studio Criterion Games.
This game breaks all the canons of the genre: the users will find an open world in which from the beginning all the machines available. If the player finds Marussia B2, it will be able to ride it. In honor of this event the company Marussia Motors, Russia's first manufacturer of luxury cars, sports car brought to the stand Marussia B2 Ea at Gamescom 2012.
This is not the first partnership: in the past month, EA announced that the car Marussia B2 appears in the online racing irge Need for Speed World.
Need for Speed Most Wanted will be released October 30, 2012.

I think the first thing I'm going to do is search for cars and then brag about what I found here :P

Actually was referring to how a stock Cobalt SS could do more than 280 kph down the highway on the east side of the starting borough.

That said, one of the other things I liked about MW (and Prostreet and both UGs) was that I could choose to upgrade and continue using my starter car with little or no penalty. It's certainly not realistic but restrictive tier systems like Carbon's and UC's really stunk!

And were poorly defined; a Golf R32 better than a MazdaSpeed 3!? An ordinary non-RS Megane better than both!?

I liked the freedom of choice in earlier titles.

(That 240sx was crap at drift though. And I bought Murcies and Porsches in both MW and PS anyway.)

On topic edit:

Now I'm looking through the World car list again for any other new-to-series cars as that A1 above was some indicator. I'm guessing a current CTS-V is on the cards. Perhaps the 959 too....

That said, I think EA mentioned the car classes again (Twitter or the redone website) and 'sedan' class was absent. Maybe the car list at launch is being cut down or something....

Edit no 3:

Typical EA advert but take a look at the licenses at the end:

Alfa Romeo
Lancia
BAC
LR/RR (Evoque)
Jaguar (XKR)
Mitsubishi (Lancer Evo)
Panamera

I noticed that as well. I really don't mind it anymore but anything that gives the cars some kind of individual trait is more than welcome.

After some reading on the facebook page you will not be able to drive as cops in this version, only chased.

So that kinda sucks, since now its mostly like burnout with real cars as said before.

I don't understand why you feel like this, in the original most wanted you couldn't drive cop cars except in some specific time events on the challenge series.

From the get-go I sort of knew what to expect from a CG developed game. I mean, we all have our own expectations for what we would like to see out of a NFS game. At the very least I'm certain they'll make a fun game, which is why this will be a day 1 purchase for me.

This just got posted on the NFS Facebook page. With the mention of being able to change your license plate, I really hope this is an option:

It's the release date of the original Most Wanted, if anyone didn't know.

I believe that they will give you plenty of license plates to choose from.

This game is really looking to be something. Except for the cover that is, being ugly and having the filthy lie "only on playstation" on it.

I think they can get away with it because of the Move thing.

Debatable for sure.

Nevertheless, I am looking forward to the game on both ps3 and vita.

Oh boy once I see the full car list the first thing I'm going to do in this game is to find all the cars I love. Also shoot me a FR if anyone wants to play some paradise and this game when it comes out.

I am getting it on day 1 most likely so I will add you then for some competition :P

I'm getting this on day one too, I add you then. I will find the M3 Coupe first, rice it up to the maximum tuning and become Most Wanted. :sly:
