Really cannot be doing with the whole give an take away notion of the abandoned cars. Put them in gradually if you want, but keep them in. I'm one of a number of players who isn't playing a game religiously enough to appreciate such enticement and would really appreciate the content be available when I want to look for it. Such acts require a certain amount of commitment and dedication to play which some people can't afford to give. Really poor move EA. Put the cars in and keep them in.

P.S I'm aware the cars are open to purchase once stolen, but the intial tease really shouldn't be there and the cars just left in the game to be found as and when imo.

I completely agree. I'm going to be out of the country when the RX7 gets released so I'll likely miss it this time round. It's very frustrating as it feels like I'm being penalised for going on holiday :/

The only way I'll be interested in getting the game is 1) If/when they've confirmed they've fixed the bugs in the online, and 2) if/when I see it for under $40. I mean having a multiplayer that has a notable amount of lag/poor netcode/etc seems super-lame, but I don't doubt that could've been a deadline sorta thing that may get fixed in next week's patch. I am glad they're adding drift events to the speedlist, though.

Ideally, I'm hoping that eventually, each event not only can be any of the (as of next week) six classes, but could also have different regulations, either having 199, 299, or 399 as an upper limit. This hypothetically could mean having 18 cars for each car/class combination, making it a really interesting set of metagames - as opposed to simply going for the Regera/911 2.8 RSR all the time.

I have found all of the parts for the 55 Belair but the game says I have one part still to find when I go to this spot on the map the part is not there because I have already found it. Can anyone help?

Send in some pictures in maybe. Does it say that you've got 5/5 (or whatever the number is) ? Also where the circle is on the map isn't exactly where it is as you probably know. Lastly I do remember there being 2 derelict parts being very close together if that's any help

I’ve collected the part because I also collected a poker chip at the same spot almost but it only says 4/5 but when I go to that spot the campfire is there but no part.

Strange, have you checked youtube tutorials to ensure?

Got EA Access yesterday so I naturally gave the NFS Payback trial a go and have just gotten to the truck heist. This is a HUGE improvement over NFS 2015, and cannot wait until I get the full game. Cars handle really well, the game looks amazing and the story is actually pretty decent so far.

Only slight issue so far is that all customization options are locked at the start and you have to do several challenges (1 of which is impossible for me with the cars I have) to unlock even basic options, but it does all look like stuff that can be done by just playing the game and progressing through the story.

StraightUpHippo has had a go with the Speedcross DLC and he raises a concerning point...

Apparently on your first playthrough of the Speedcross story, you are forced to use that Mini Countryman, not even your own... :boggled:

Then I guess if you're good enough you hit everything and then it's not even fun anymore.
One and done. It sounds like.

One redeeming factor in Speedcross is that there are multiple strategies you can take to achieve the end goal. Some events could place a greater reward on chaining drifts, others on stunts like jumps and destroying objects. I strongly doubt anyone can explore every route with one playthrough of the story.

I see NFS Payback Deluxe is 39.99 now.
Which is worth it.
If only I waited.
Oh well.

If anyones interested. Need For Speed Payback just added wheel support for logitech G29 Ps4 and logitech G290. Fanatec CSL Elite Ps4 wheel works both in Ps4 blue mode and G29 Purple mode in Need For Speed Payback. I prefer the controller over a wheel but I thought others would want to know about the wheel support. I feel NFS is not meant for a wheel but it works well with it though.

Location of the RX-7 for those who may not know:

Finished the speedcross DLC. Didn't really enjoy it and don't have much more to say really. The voice acting has about the same amount of emotion as a fridge.

Edit: Yes you are limited to a Mini for speedcross which is upgraded as you go and

You don't even get that fully upgraded car in the end

I just completed the Speedcross campaign myself. I thought it was fun but as I progressed through it, it really brought out an issue I have with the physics: they can be a pain when it comes to tight and precise driving maneuvers.

Forgot to mention that actually, although I didn't enjoy it I'm sure others would certainly but the tracks really show the flaws in the improved physics. Especially when you tap a wall and your character seems to let go of the steering wheel or something and just drive straight on or the occasional crab walk.

Edit: I have read this again and I will update when I have installed the last patch and had more time on the game.

I found SpeedCross quick and well like a one time deal for me.
Especially when you hit target score even before completing the first lap.

Edit: Just got all the trophies for this DLC so I will be putting this back away until maybe the next one?

I think Ghost should've added Speedcross races where the courses used will be the same as those courses used for those Speedcross events but different variations. Similar to Dirt 3 or maybe Showdown.

Got the RX7. Love the number of bodykit options for the car. Quite well balanced to drive too. Had a laugh at the police chase where I was bailing to Raj's at the airfield with the RX7 and the Rhino appeared on the road ahead me, so I swerved to miss it and continued past taking out a police cruiser behind me :lol:

Ghost/EA are starting to show some finesse. the resale (presumably this is perminant) for unused speed cards is now over 8K (was over 5K). Also all the speed cross vehicles are free. Add this to the already unlimited garage space and the 6.50 for the dlc is making more sense. Just have to wait for the drip feed of the other abandoned cars (really want the volvos). Also played the speed cross in the city. pretty quick so money making is even easier now.

Wonder what the next dlc will bring?

My guess is the next DLC will probably see more heists or something like that since everything I read community-related keeps asking for them.

I can't believe how easy this game throws money at you. In my opinion, the economic system is still way off balance, but it isn't aggravating me or anything. I just feel that it's too easy to buy whatever you want, and feels too casual that way. In my opinion, the game is completely the opposite of "grindy." This detaches me from the cars a little bit... I have cars in my garage that I've only raced a couple of times, but have no need to sell because I don't need the money.

The official forums are just absolutely torching Ghost at every turn. It's still a case of everyone wanting a little bit of something different and everyone thinks their particular wants are all-important. It's depressing lol.

I have a lot of wants with the game too, but I still think it's the best NFS effort in years. I hope they keep improving things based on the reasonable feedback they are getting.

In terms of money, I'm still pretty much at about 800,000 grand, and that's just from taking the cash you get from Base shipments, selling vanity items, and selling performance cards alongside selling vehicles I don't use when I hit the 300 level cap for the lower tier vehicles.

Well it's not just the official NFS forums that have been toxic but even the /r/NFS server is toxic as well and the unnecessary requests keep on coming.

It became too easy when one of the updates came out to make progression easier. Even I think Ghost needs to slightly lower the payouts you get from winning races. I get that there are those who will not be able to play since they got other things to do other than playing NFS Payback but this is way too much. It's like the "grindiness" of the game before the update was gone.

Potentially an unpopular opinion, but since the grind for cash has been virtually eliminated, the speed card system is really starting to show its value now. If 2015's upgrading system was used, you could probably max out every car you wanted in seconds. Now with Speed cards, you need to drive each car for a while before you can get it to max specs, which adds a bit of longevity to the game.
