These threads always go like this.

"This DLC is rubbish, I don't want more Japanese cars and the BRZ is a dupe"

"If you don't like it, don't buy it and stop moaning"

Or

"Wow this is awesome, I'll be buying straight away. I love the BRZ"

"Yeah me too, this is awesome. I don't care the BRZ is a dupe, it's cool"

"I agree, definitely buying it"

See the hypocrisy? It's not an "only positive opinions allowed" postboard.

Ah, the age old 'If you don't like it, don't buy it' comment. Happens every time and it's still stupid. No, I'm not going to buy any of this DLC but that doesn't mean I can't comment on it and what I think of it, just the same as those who like it and buying it are allowed to say what they think. You don't ever hear "If you like it, just buy it", do you?

I didn't say that. You did.

I said the negativity is ridiculous. It is. Deal with it.

"If you like it, just buy it." There I have just said something you say nobody says. Satisfied?

Telling us the DLC isn't compulsory is basically the same thing.

Ridiculous why? Tell me, why should the forum only be positive? What issue do you have with negative opinions?

And I sometimes find the fact that people will eat up anything PD throws at us ridiculous. But I just hold my tongue, because I realize that this is a public Internet forum and people should be allowed to post their thoughts on something without being scolded for having an opinion.

You may be tired of the "negativity" but I'm tired of seeing posts where the general message is "I don't like what you said about this, so STFU."

Another thing from my point of view is I just want to know what on earth PD are doing, and importantly why. I want them to talk to us, tell us why they release what they do and in this example, why two very similar cars previously were free and are now paid DLC. People are posting negatively about that because it makes no sense and PD aren't speaking up to tell us why.

Maybe if they did that people would be more understanding. Instead we find this stuff out via Sony, the parent company. It's not good enough.

That's a little silly. Im fed up with GT-Rs too but if I could afford one I wouldn't let the excessive number in GT5 deter me.

I was talking about everyday cars not the Gt-R. And even then, If I had the money to afford one, I would buy a C63 or M3 eventhough they are much inferior...

You know, my GF is currently deciding which car to buy, a Nissan Micra or a Fiat 500. Guess which car i advise her not to buy...

You are as usually summing up my thoughts exactly. I've honestly started losing faith in the series lately. PD is being completely out of touch with the fans and going all Eden Games on us. I'm hating to see where this is all heading towards.

Seems as though PD are sticking with its Japanese car culture roots. Hats off to them if that's what they want.

Yep, although I doubt that many would complain or even mention the Japanese thing if the HSV-010 was complimented by for example the Toyota TS030 and Nissan DeltaWing instead of 2 cars which seem awfully familiar.

I think the whole DLC approach from the beginning was just a trial and error approach to test the waters, maybe to find out what's the best future strategy and partly due perhaps to their initial reluctance to release DLC at all (and therefor didn't have a strategy in the first place perhaps).
We first got a huge car pack for a single price (admittingly altered models of cars already in the game), then a few smaller car packs for roughly the same amount as the first and now they're sold separately.
In the meanwhile some cars were also added for free (a whole NASCAR pack, the first GT-R N24 and the Toyota/Scion).
It just illustrates their whole approach to GT5 with ever changing physics updates nobody asked for (at least not me, aside from some aspects) and makes the statement some make that GT5 is basically a huge beta-game ring true for a large part I guess.

But again you are just guessing because PD don't talk to us, which is what I was saying. We can surmise what they're doing with DLC and updates but until they decide to speak up, that's all we can do. It's so frustrating.

The Nissan-PD relationship is really hurting the series. PD being forced to advertise and model almost every Nissan out there takes alot of development time they could use to add cars the fanbase wants...

No DLC so far without a Nissan...

I started to hate Nissan thanks to GT5. I will definitly never pay a single cent for any Nissan/Infinity/Renault car...

I agree. This excessive Nissan affiliation with Gran Turismo is starting to make me resent Nissan themselves...:scared:

Well can you blame the guy? If I remember correctly, Nissan supported his idea of Gran Turismo when he was an up and coming developer. And I don't know if this is true or not, but Japanese folk tend to be very loyal to the brand they affiliate with.

That said the Nissan selection in the premium dealership needs more than just GT-Rs and a couple Zs.

I just don't understand why he does it to himself. He knows full well there is a lot of backlash against Nissans and the GTR in particular, he has acknowleded the bias towards Japanese cars yet with this DLC it's more of the same, Japanese cars and a GTR.

It really doesn't install any faith for the future of the series.

I agree with you but I think it may be a money issue, not long ago i read that PD were looking into buying a license for Formula 1 but couldnt afford it, im not making excuses for thier one sided car list because i agree with you but im sure money is a factor.

GT is all about GT-R, it's actually a part of why it sell so well. It has been like that since GT1. Skyline would never have been so famous in the world without Gran Turismo. You knew it perfectly when you purchased the game, dont act surprised now.

Finally, the HSV is here, that made my day.

It’s obvious that this DLC really is a HUGE disappointment bearing in mind that we have been waiting for it since January.

Everyone who tries to defend it (forcefully justify that new GT-R and BRZ are really different from the previous cars) is probably a blind fanboy of GT5.

Just look at the most wanted cars poll in feedback section. There is the list of cars most players really want. Almost none of these wishes have been fulfilled.

Only Honda HSV is really valuable.

Nevertheless I don't feel resentment towards Nissan but PD could give us Juke R, premium R390 GT1, Datsun, Skyline from '70 and '80 instead of another GT-R and Academy cars.

Well there is some truth to that statement. At least over here in the States.

Well maybe Skylines are associated with GT.
Not always in good light though.
Become a bit of a long standing joke to some.

Well it was Gran Turismo, that introduced me to most of the Japanese sports cars.
I've only seen a real skyline once in my live.

To spot a NSX would be almost impossible in Germany, you rather get hit by lightning.

3 cars in the DLC that most don't really care about. Another GTR and a boring Subaru. At least the HSV is new. Wheres the Viper, GT500, new Ferrari, Venom GT, new Mercs and Audis etc???? PD isnt even trying to compete with Forza anymore. Its not even a contest with this kind of DLC. And I can guarantee you more bugs with this bug fix. DCC ALWAYS gets screwed up with each update.

I hope they fix DCC. Its been broken on both A and B spec for a while now. Would love to see the rest of the rims added to the remaining cars that still cant get a rim change which was something promised. Some proper ride height fixes like for the Viper. How about the Blue/White color combo for that PD. last time you fixed a car that didn't need fixing in the Amuse 380 Superleggera. So we know you could fix the many small issues like ride height and rims if you wanted to.

I haven't played this game in a while and I doubt the HSV is gonna make me want to for much more than the novelty now.

A boring Subaru? It's way more fun than a bunch of Audi and Mercedes saloons. Face it, this is a Japanese game and the bias has been there since the first game. No wonder and consider yourself lucky that the Aventador was added.

Pretty dull cars, I can't be too two-faced as I will get them as I like to have all what's available even though I very rarely play the game these days. Getting a big new shiny TV next week though, maybe things will change soon with regards to my ever dwindling enthusiasm for this game.

No kidding, but I really cannot wait for this. Expecially the HSV-010. Hopefully it sounds fairly close to the real thing!

They never have been trying to compete with Forza, they make their thing and Turn 10 make theirs, the products compete but its not a case of Forza has feature x or GT has feature y, so the other must copy it ASAP!

I might be wrong, but I don't we have this car. I found this picture online.

New NASCAR?
