Honda HSV Super GT: Buy.

Nissan GT-R N24: Don't buy.

Subaru BR-Z S: Don't buy.

That's what I'm doing once this DLC comes out.

I think the 86 and the FR-S being free were all advertising moves by Toyota, so the people who drove them in the game would be convinced to purchase the real thing. Maybe Subaru didn't go for this "campaign", so that's why we pay for it instead of getting it free like the other two.

I have no explanation for the GT-R not being included in 2.08 though. I suppose this is just PD trying to make extra $$$ as much as possible.

Meh.
I'll buy the BRZ, but that's it. I know nothing of the HSV, and I think paying for another freaking GT-R is absurd.

I guess that very few people will pay for the 3848456th GT-R of the game, and a rebranded Scion...

Which is a re branded Toyota.. Gtr is sufficiently different however and that HSV is sexy.

Basically, it seems pretty much the same with the N24 Schulze one, which was given for free. I agree that the HSV is pretty awesome, it's a buy for me aswell.

The DLC that was available on release of the 86 and FR-S made up for them being free. Which were track packs or car packs, only makes sense. I'm surprised nobody caught that.

Another thing that might explain the BRZ not being free is that it's made by a different company, unlike Scion which is a full Toyota brand, maybe Toyota asked (or paid? given early access to unreleased cars? collective victim compensation for the Prius? :D) for both to be a free addition as a promotional tool and Subaru simply didn't.

Its a totally different class and spec car.

After such a long wait this is all we get? three cars, two of which are 90% similar to cars already in the game, an overpriced SuperGt car.

PATHETIC

I can see why you're saying that, but why the GT-R? Are you going to back yourself up with "there are to many"?

to be honest Yes ,it is another Tuned GTR but the main reason is the Shulze GTR was free why isn't this one .Is it because it's a race winner ? :sly:

$0.99 seems like the common price for DLC cars of most racing games.

Just another GT-R? :ouch:

Its not just a GT-R tho is it? I was about to call it "iconic" but lets call a spade a spade.

But it was however the car that Kaz, Yasukichi Yamamoto, Tobias Schulze and GT-Academy's Lucas Ordoñez not just competed in the 24hr Nurburgring race, they came first in their class and 30th overall.
And without GT/PD/GT-Academy Lucas Ordoñez would probably be sitting in a chair at home playing GT5 but they are the ones who made it possible for him to do that for real. So IMO that car has more USP than the other 2.

I know there are cars in GT5 that are their to simply make up the numbers but when you read some of the discriptions and get an insight to the history and why that car was created in the first place makes me think there is method in the madness after all, there are some truley iconic cars in GT5 and I dare say most are overlooked by many.

They were both class winners so that's an invalid point. I'll revert back to one of my previous posts:

This theory also applies to the Schulze GT-R.

Don't want the GT-R or BRZ?
DON'T BUY IT. That simple. It's such an easy thing to do and yet you guys are acting like PD is pointing a gun at your head telling you to buy them. They separated them for a reason, so that people wouldn't whine.

The PlayStation Blog acknowledges the differences between the BRZ and 86, so presumably, they should drive differently, and for me, that's another reason to get the BRZ.

Have to imagine most people won't be.

They separated them for a reason, so that people wouldn't whine.
Or more likely so they could increase the profit margin. People spending a dollar on a car they want will very likely net them much more money than people forgoing a pack entirely because they don't want to spend $3 on 3 cars when they only want one. I'm assuming that they've learned that from the 2nd car pack.

Your right, but I'm thinking of the price in relation to all the content you get on the disk when you buy GT5 i.e. if they charged 0.99 for each premium car the game would cost > 200 euros, then there's tracks, standards etc,
It is a rip-off imo, but because everyone does it it's ok :)

I'm just really annoyed and disappointed that this is all they're putting out after all this time. Should have really known better thsn to get my hopes up as far as PD are concerned. I stand by what I said.

PATHETIC x2

Even if the HSV sounds exactly like the premium NSX GT500 cars I'll still buy it. In fact, I'll buy all the cars :D Thank you PD for another great DLC car pack 👍

I would understand you if this was a Standard car that's been upgrade to a Premium, and they charged you for it (e.g. the Jaguar LM), but the HSV-010 is a completely new car to GT5. Even if all the cars in GT5 were Premium, it would make sense for PD to charge you for a new car.

Good Point but no more DLC cars isn't our fault,it just seems like a lazy DLC ,The HSV was mentioned by Kaz as in the works a long time ago.still stand by my opinion BRZ and the GTR should be free even if that would mean the DLC is just one car.

Complaining about double standards for DLC of a game you bought is a very valid argument ,or whining if you want to call it that.Yes we have an option to buy it but that's not the point.

Your not getting what I'm saying at all. Le Sigh.

I'll just get them all, at least when you buy them, they go to your garage.
I purposely bought a psn card just for GT5 DLC alone before it came out.
Some are mentioning the Scion model, but it introduced the dealership, so maybe we'll get more later on.

I wonder, since HSV-010 is a new model, what cars can be built off that?
