PD continue to baffle. Why was the last Schulze car and BRZ clones free but these paid? And why after acknowledging the problem with duplicate cars and GTR/Japan bias does he still just give us them anyway?

Honestly it doesn't even annoy me anymore, just utterly confuses me.

I'm in between the annoyance and confusion.

It's so crazy that have no explanation.

Or they are definitely going utter nuts or they are preparing like the big surprise ever. GT6 on Q1 2013... whatever. Nah, I don't even know what to think anymore.

I'm not pleased at all. I prefer buying a less expensive pack with cars that I might not like right away but that I might eventually drive (and perhaps even like) than having to purchase one car at time at a ridiculous price.

These DLC have the worst value per price so far. There's also only one car that can be considered actually new.

You're not the only one worried by this. I guess GT:HD, that is the original concept, didn't die after all.

I think it's pretty clear that if we're going to keep asking for DLCs for GT5, we're not going to get anything truly exciting or new. GT5 DLCs just seems to be like carefully chosen cars, like they want to give DLC, but they don't want to give away all or too much of the more different ones from potentially debuting in GT6.

Just look at all their DLCs. More than half of them are models that are similar to the ones we already have. The only ones that deserves to be mentioned in my opinion are the Aventador, Aston Martin, HSV, Sirrocho (?) and maybe the RMs too since each of them appear to have major body work.

The others? Mini Cooper, Leaf (yes it's different but how honestly exciting is it?), GTRs, BRZ, Golf... and whatever others. The rest are not even memorable for me right now.

So please, can we stop asking for DLCs in GT5? You can create the biggest wishlist possible, but chances are they probably want to save it for GT6. DLCs are not based on what models they have already created.

This is actually good i wanna drive the br-z and to see if it can be turbo but probably not and i hope for the next dlc if it come they bring the amuse 370z i love amuse and that car is awsome

let's hope they get the sound right, the HSV SCREAMS in real life:

excited to see they have it modeled as it probably means we'll have the rest of the HSV fleet in GT6 (Raybrig, Arta, Epson, Keihin) 👍👍👍

If the HSV-010 sounds like it does in real life... you have NO REASON to complain. This is an awesome car that just got added to GT5, be happy. The patch is also great. Considering how long ago GT5 came out, be happy you are getting anything.

i'll only buy the HSV if it sounds like that in real life, won't get my hopes up,BRZ and the GTR should be free

So excited for the HSV. So excited in-fact, we're reviving a successful Super GT series that we did last year just to race the car!

Gonna be epic to drive that baby

Also, on the other updates: things are at least looking up a bit. The changes aren't life-altering, but they are definitely interesting. I wonder if their tweaks to the tire wear carry over online and exactly how much the aero and height adjustment tweaks are going to change things.

Hopefully it will be one of their unannonced tweaks. It'll be pretty dumb to just ignore the online part of the game.
Perhaps this new tunning physics are just a test for the next game?

"Update 2.08
A free downloadable update coming next week will add several new enhancements to GT5, as well as correcting some reported issues. A few examples of the update 2.08 include:
Now possible to select “Disable collisions” in the [Event Settings] of online races.
ID’s are now shown above cars when watching online races.
Response of the clutch pedal when using the steering wheel controllers “G25 Racing Wheel”, “G27 Racing Wheel”, “T500RS” and “TH8RS” has been adjusted.
Rate of tire wear in endurance races has been slowed (excluding formula cars).
Amount of air resistance change when altering aerodynamic wing settings has been increased.
Autopilot has been adjusted to prevent colliding with the wall when exiting the pit lane on the Tsukuba circuit.
Adjusted the changes in control characteristic when altering vehicle height from standard height. (Vehicle height can be changed by adjusting ride height, either by installing a suspension kit or adjusting a full customizable suspension kit.)"
👍👍👍 Yea baby!!!

I will only buy the HSV. DLC cars don't interest me, I just don't have time to drive the cars I already have. What I really want is tracks. I would pay $5 just for all of the El Capitan layouts.

again a new nissan ._. ... the only car that maybe i'll buy it's the HSV , the BRZ is similar to the GT-86 and the Scion FR-S and i don't wanna to pay for another version of the same car :)

i wanna real dlc like new tracks (seattle, midfield, apricot hill etc.) or other cars but no japanese cars, like premium opel's , bmw's ..

It's a smart move by PD to sell these cars separately although they may be a little expensive. For many, the HSV seems to be the most exciting thing but imagine if it was bundled with the BRZ and GT-R. It would cause an uproar but this way people are not forced to buy "duplicates" in order to get what they want. Furthermore, it's outrageous to complain that the BRZ and GT-R aren't free. Remember that we got the 86 and FR-S for free so if you buy the BRZ then think that you got three great cars for $0.33 each. They had to charge this effort for at least one of them and they were wise to use the BRZ as the bait. Then we have the GT-R, wouldn't those who buy the Academy Edition feel a little deceived if everyone else just got it for free? Yes, they pay for the DLC but consider the GT-R as being part of it.

Well this is the opportunity to let our money speak for ourselves. Don't buy the GT-R and the BRZ but just the Honda. PD does keep track of dlc sales.

Personally I want the BRZ though so I'm buying it anyway, but I won't buy the GT-R if GTP does a campaign to not buy it. I know we are a vocal minority and all that, but 1% of potential buyers still matters.

The DLC that was available on release of the 86 and FR-S made up for them being free. Which were track packs or car packs, only makes sense. I'm surprised nobody caught that.

THAT's the point.

Cold numbers.

CEO's love them.

Do Gran Turismo series a favour, buy the HSV do NOT buy the GT-R.

I'm pretty sure you could make the Gt-r N24 out of an existing GT-r...Granted the downforce won't be there most other things can be regarding performance.

The rest of the DLC is pretty awesome, however.
