The scenery itself isn't the problem, it is what it is obviously. The problem is the quality of said scenery which to me personally stands out like a sore thumb, mainly the textures on the grass banks. I remember when Spa came out someone made an animated GIF that I was convinced was real at first, it was that good. I'd never have that issue here.

Except that Spa has similarly awful grass textures in places, but lots of trees, buildings and "barrier-tunnels" that mean you don't see it as often. Texture quality is always going to be a problem, and I'd expect PS3 owners to be able to see through that by now. The visual fidelity comes mostly from the lighting.

I just did two laps of the full circuit in a modded premium C5,suprised how much I missed it from GT4.👍

I really like Twin Ring Motegi and have always wanted it in GT5. I had no problem paying €5.00 for it either. It is a pity there is no time-cycle or weather system though.

I just hope that the Scion FR-S was included at the request of Toyota to promote the car as it launches in the USA and that it was not PDs idea of proper DLC. I assume we will get more cars and look forward to buying them too.

If I'm honest, I don't see the point in having the Regular track AND the version with Day & Night/Weather together. Just have the tracks with all those and have a option to lock it at default setting or change it.

Lots of Ps3 games have great textures esp Sony 1st party exclusives, your just talking out of your behind. Drive on Montegi, taking your PD apologist goggles off, then drive on a premium track like Spa.
Objectively, the difference in quality is night and day. If you can't tell the difference then you need to get your eyes checked.

You're mature ^^^

So why is it $8.45 AUS if it is $5 USD with a $1 AUS = $1.08 USD exchange rate ?
The lowest minimum wage pay in Australia is double that of the lowest minimum wage pay here in the US. It's as fair as it should be, I guess.

Short article I found right now.

I agree with that. High Speed Ring and Eiger Norwand need Reverse layouts with weather too. Sort of off-topic, but it's needed.

I wouldn't see any difference because I would be paying attention to the road as stated earlier.

Slow down and take in the sights. Just because your car can carve corners at 100mph, doesn't mean you have to. Jump in a Fiat 500 slug.

Motegi looks fine, i dont know what youv been smoking,
matter a fact the lighting on the track is the best in the game.

Many people seem disappointed with this DLC but after a quick race against the AI on Motegi I'm very happy with it. Yes a few of the textures aren't the best and this annoys me, but for the most part I look at the road when driving, so I didn't notice them as much. It's a shame it doesn't have day/night though, my favourite part of it being in GT4 was the low sun. And Super Speedway is welcome in any GT game as far as I'm concerned

Good for you, but a well rendered enviroment enhances the sense of immersion for me, and I'm sure others, adding greatly to the driving experience.

When Daytona is to big, Indy is to, uh, square, and Nurburgring isn't the perfect circle you though it was when you started Nurburgring 4hr, you need the TRM: Super Speedway. It's too bad I blew all my PSN money right before it came out.

I have tuned a Fiat 500 to take turns at 80MPH. Not the same exactly but still invalidates your point.

I'm talking about the 500 that is lucky to hit 60 going downhill....while being pushed.

I'm sick of these poor souls complaining about the free Scion FR-S DLC. They keep thinking "Oh look it's the same as the Toyota 86 we already have that it's useless blah blah blah" ... *facepalm* They fail to look at the other side of things.

First of all, let's consider the Scion FR-S. It's the same as the Toyota 86, everyone knows that. It's a Scion, yes. There have been Scion cars in GT5 but they are standard. It's a premium car, obviously. NOW. With this information, do you remember seeing a Scion brand in the New Dealerships? NO. Not until now. Scion is not in the original roster of the Dealerships, but PD has adjusted the Dealership selection to accommodate the FR-S, first it was Peugeot-Renaultsport-Shelby-Subaru. NOW it's Peugeot-Renaultsport-SCION-Shelby-Subaru. The Spoon Sports brand is now jutting out to the rightmost side because of the adjustment. That means PD has the ability to add manufacturers. We will most likely be seeing new cars from Scion, (the tC being the most likely), OR COMPLETELY NEW MANUFACTURERS.

so, to all those complainers, stop it. stop whining and get your hopes up.

The FR-S is a perfect example of 'fridge brilliance' (if you know what I mean), and has got me stoked. :D

:tup:VERY well said.👍

I have also found that the FR-S is better off-road than the 86-GT.

GT would have great textures too if it sacrificed memory usage in other areas.
If I'm an "apologist" (what does that even mean?), then you're a troll.
I explicitly mentioned Spa in my previous post - I've even driven it backwards, which shows up some of PD's little tricks, helped by Spa being mostly a "tunnel" like the Nordschleife is - Motegi is wide open.

The reason you preferred the "lighting" in GT4's Motegi was because it was near sunset, which injected a bit of colour. "Objectively", GT5 still has better lighting. You just don't like the time of day.

EDIT: I keep seeing it: "Montegi". It's Motegi people, learn to read. :sly:
