What car are these settings for ?

The Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec II N1 R34 '00. I reposted the settings after some changes.

It's definetly for an AWD, :)

and what's ASM on? specify next time, even though i know its for understeer. not surprised giving the fact its and AWD.

and what's a sway bar? its not a rollcage if you already stated "incread rigidity"

Not to be aggressive but this setup i can tell isn't really a drift setup.. as you have stated lift-off, meaning you let off the gas.. You're pretty much Yawwing from the 9 understeer.. I have tried it, i played with Aids on my AWDs long enough to know what your intentions are.

My guess is that its a Lancer, Impreza, Skyline or anything that can be a Ricer car, I say this becasue the ID IS "going sidewayz" meaning he/she's probably watched Tokyo Drift

Again, another improper drift setup, 20 understeer. Obvious it'll "drift" well, ASM is doing everything for you.. becasue the setting is strong, obviously it'll be easy because it slow you down immediately when you steer just a tiny bit

Sorry about that. I was in a hurry, and I forgot to turn my PS2 on... so I couldn't remember the exact settings. Again, I reposted the settings with detail this time ;)

'04 Amuse S2000 Street Version - i think it's a speed drifting setup
386hp roughly.

Parts to buy;
-Racing Muffler
-Brake Controller
-Stage 3 NA, Stage 2 if you aren't great with high power..
-every other NA tuning thing, leave out Nitrous for now..
-Full customize Suspension, Transmission and LSD.
-Flywheel & Clutch plates ( you should know which one to buy)
-N3 Tires at best. S1, hold on to it anyway.
-I dont remember if there are weight reductions, but if there is, do 'em all. and NO Rollcage
-and lastly, Oil change to make up for the eventual loss from redlining.

Settings..
Springs:10/8.9
Ride:80/80
Bound:5/4
Rebound:7/6
Camber:2/1.5
Stabs:3/3

Brakes:7/10

Gear Ratio: Tranny trick used..
Tranny trick: Set final gear to lowest ratio (all the way to the right), 5.500 i think. Then set the Autoset to 25, then back down to 1. at this point do not touch the autoset gear anymore.

Now my actual gear setting: perform tranny trick, but instead of droping the autoset to 1, put it to 10.

LSD:
initial Torque, Accel, decel: 12/50/10

Aids:ASM/TCS: Zero

Additional problems, Solved:
1)too much oversteer? increase the rear spring rate. but you shouldn't have to go past 10.
2)Still too much oversteer? increase rebound (front and rear) by 1.
3)Too much body roll? Bump the bound (front and rear ) by 1.
4)braking during the drift swings the car backwards? Either you got to adapt to the style OR, either lower the rear brake strength or bump up the front brake strength.

Some things to keep in mind when trying this out:
This car will oversteer like mad, even though its a pretty balanced setup. don't fling the car too much, especially entering a chained drift. and really be extra cautious on the throttle control. If you haven't done much of the additional problem corrections, you'll find that at times of big feints, you'll overdo the angle and swing the car out, yeah just try not to make big feints, a little is enough for just about any corner.

Also, if you are finding it hard to read, press the quote and it'll take you to the reply thingy, so you can see it better. I wrote it small to save space.

Universal Speed Drifting Setup (FR drivetrains only)

Springs: 10/9.0
Ride: lowest value + 10 to 15.
Bound: 5/4 or 6/5
rebound: value(bound) + 2 ( on both F & R).
Camber:2/1.5
toe:0/0
Stabs: if stock is 4/4, bring down to 3/3. any higher, bring to 4/4.

Trans:
use Tranny Trick: on default ratios, set final gear ratio to lowest (to the right) some cars are 5.0, some are 5.5. Set Auto Set to 25, then back to 1. adjust only the final gear or individual ratios, but dont touch the autoset. that's the tranny trick.

Usually i would say move the final gear so that the last gear on the chart reachs about the same spot it did on stock ratios.

Brakes:
if your car is 0-275hp; set to 6/9.
if your car is 276hp+; set to 6/11.

Aids: 0 on all

2-way LSDs..if only full LSD is available, 10/50/10 or as some people do, 60/60/60.

need power: NATuning, Chip, Exhaust pipes and/or Superchargers. If you are using Turbocharger, stick with a 2, as 3,4 and 5 have a great amount of lag.

Tires: N3's. S1's if you can go that far.

Nitrous: avoid, to adapt to relying on it no more.

clutch plates, flywheels and driveshafts, buy 'em anyway.

Weight stuff: don't bother...

Downforce: if your car at stock has no spoiler: that's good, if you boguht one that's fine put to 0. if you have something like a Touring, set the front to max, set the rear 8 points more than the front's value.

Camber angle: 3.5/1.7
Toe angle: 0.0/0.0
Stabilizers: 1/1

Brake ballance: 17/7

TCS: 0
ASM: 0

Little description of handling characteristics:The handling of this NSX is rather good, with me behind the wheel i can make it glide turns sometimes without having to counter steer. The best gear to drift in is 4th (For high speed drifting) and 3rd (For mid speed drifting) the only bad thing is sometimes when drifting hairpin turns in 2nd is will break traction sometimes and send you out of control. You are free to mod this to your style. Its set for brake (Not E-Brake) and power over right now.

This is my universal drift setting that i put on almost all my cars.

Fully upgrade the car then give it these settings. (This is for MR and FR cars only)

Settings:

Spring rate: Set the front spring rate at the lowest it can go then set the back rate for 1.0 higher than front.
Ride height: Set 20mm lower than stock on front and back
Shock bound: 10/10
Shock rebound: 7/7
Camber angle: 3.5/1.7
Toe angle: 0.0/0.0
Stabilizers: 1/1

Tires: R1 on back and R3 on front.

Brake ballance: 17/7

NOTE: Now I'm not the best drifter around but i find this setup fairly easy to drift at high ad low speed. It may be a bit overpowered so I'll be testing out some other setups.

Can you give a good setup for any car you choose for i learn driffting...i e tryed several cars and i always spin out..and dont want a very powerfull car...just a normal car with a few mods that i can learn driffting...

Thanks

This Is Leonidae's BMW 120i, the most controllable, calm, yet perfectly capable drifter I have driven in recent memory. It is full-tune, which means it is slightly pricey, but it is worth it.

Thanks for the free advertisement! ;) yeah, it is calm drifter even in stock form, which is why I usually recommend it to those who are new to the world of drifting.
