Yeah...I think the Cusco Impreza sounds and looks really cool......It quite unique looking as when you think Impreza you think rally car......But its low to the ground got a cool body kit and the paint scheme is impressive.....I like the way PD are now starting to make all the cars sound very different.

I too. The sound engine of the GT4 game as obviously improved. You can really hear the difference in the demo. I also noticed the hiss of the turbo in the demo. You can really hear it in the first few seconds when the Skyline starts to go around the first few turns, and begins to accelerate down the course.

This game will sound awesome through my home stereo, but I can't say that I'm not upset to hear that PD and Sony refuse to use Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, or the even better THX or DTS surround sound.

THX is just a name for a 7.1 speaker configuration. DTS EX is 6.1, and just dolby digital is 5.1.

THX is not just a "certification," although that is what it is. There is more to it, like with the surround processing that is THX qualified. That is what I meant. So, THX certified surround sound means better than Dolby DIgital 5.1, which is crap, but is better that PD surround sound.

My thoughts exactly, I watched it last night with very low volume and I noticed Cobra going on about the sound, I watched a bit of it again today with sound and it wasn't anything special, it could be the vid though because cars like the GT500 NSX in GT4 sounded good.

I agree, the video wasn't in the best quality, but you can tell that the engine sounds have greatly improved. I was able to listen to it with a great pair of headphones, and it sounded great. There was the usual digital "taint" to it, but again, it still sounded wonderful.

It's obviously an old build, notice how there is no writing on the track? It's from the 24 hr race, I believe. Now I do agree that the engine sounds great, and that is a fairly good resolution, but it no where near photomode quality. yeah looks pretty good, though some people have gone...abit to far in praising it. It certainly looks no better then GTP in graphic quality ( I love all the idiots who say crap like "it must be a new build CONSTANTLY, when it doesn't actually look any different, and comparing it to photo mode when it has 2d trees, and low poly tracks...come on) and the sound is still pretty poor, sounds nothing like a real car imo ( and no, my sound system on my pc is ass kicking, so it's not that ). I liked the way the car moved though, on one part of the vid, the track gets abit bumpier, and you can really tell . Shame about the sound though, I guess I could just get my brother to rev a car in GTR at the same time I play GT4 heheh.
I also still love the brake discs glowing, looks so cool when the wheels going so fast, and you can see the brake thingies behind it all, and the huge discs glowing hot.

The below bit, posted by cobra has made my day, I find his blind obsession with GT so bloody funny, I swear, he would sell his mum for GT4.

I must say, PD is getting too serious with gt4, they are too serious with the graphics and sound. OMG. You could hear the tires gripping the track, the wind passing the car, the engine sounds were spot on. The graphics, OMG no other racer compares in my opinion and the car movements are so spot on. The car shakes when it needs to, omg, PD is too serious. The graphics look too realistic but the sound..............the sound is the show case in that vid in my honest opinion.

PD ARE SERIOUS!!! TOO SERIOUS!!! HOLY CRAP NO!!!!! Ofc they are serious you melon.

Ripping this apart is just too easy. Hear the tyres gripping the track...ok cobra...and the sound is NOT the show case, the physics are. Graphically it's pretty good (not as uber as some people say), sound wise it's meh, but the physics should be the crowning glory of GT4. I find alot of people like to talk crap about Gt, like pretending it sounded AMAZING, when it obviously doesn't. I love GT, but lets not kid ourselves eh chaps?

P.S PD sort out those bloody trees, and you'l get my thumbs up

Whatever code. The sound was ace imo, might not be as good as GTR's but the car sounded like a real racer and it looked pretty good? Please, that's a very understatment for the most visually impressive racer this generation. Man, you are an idiot code. I bet if I drooled over rsc2's streaming texturing, bad draw distance and the fact it can't stay at a constant frame rate and the fact only one car has a fully modeled shadow, you wouldn't have a problem with that, now would you? I don't know alot about converting etc. I know Virtualdub but he didn't want to load the file (probably because it is a .Mov) so i tried this.

I will get the xbox back tommorow and make a good sample WITH sound. But i'm limited to 12.5 mb so it won't be huge... And if the file is hosted on GTP i won't make a sample, that's stupid.

I'm gonna call you eggman from now on...because I'm sad.
