I'd like to say I thought it was an excellent video. Only let down by using Quicktime and for having one glitch at 30-odd seconds. I liked the way the backend looked like it was sliding slightly, at least to me, on some of the corners from the front view.

The sound seems vastly improved to me.

If they're 2D trees, they don't have to bother with 3D. The same with 3D wheeel rims, waste of memory.

Code_kev, if people like the vid, like the sound, why be such a wet blanket? Let them enjoy it, and let people make up their own minds when they see the video. Have an opinion by all means, but please do not be so vociferous in your attacks on other members.

And who's arse's are "they" kissing by the way?

And what does "meh" stand for or mean?

A couple of questions.

Do people think it will look this good with more cars on the track?
Do they improve the graphics for time trial laps?
There would obviously be polygons to spare with one car on the track, do they use them?

I can't see it. Hmmm........
I can see it fine. Thank you Egghead.

Cobra, did you extract the file first? I don't mean to insult, just never know :dunce:

And for the sound, it is much better than GT3's. But it's hard to say if it is an improvement over GT4P as the Falken Skyline isn't in the game. Could always compare it to the Xanavi Nismo GT-R though. No time to do this now however.

OK compared em, the one in the vid seems to chug abit more...I think....apart from that it's pretty similar in terms of quality (obviously cleaner as it's not been compressed). The sound is better then GT3s ofc.

Redhed, I said the video looked good, made some points, and then had cobra running about moaning at what I said.

I dont know how to extract it, I'm new to this media player so dont mind my ignorance of it. :dopey:

I DO NOT CARE WHAT MACHINE IT'S ON, I JUDGE ON GAMES.

Thats how i look at it also, but what specs the machines have does come into how good or bad a game looks. GT4 has gone way beyond what anyone thought was possible with the PS2, with its measly powered CPU you can understand what i am talking about. I love all video games but i am yet to see a Racer on the XBOX with graphics as good as GT4, i am not a fanboy but i am just being honest, and the XBOX has alot more power than the PS2 from memory.

The sound in GT4 isnt perfect, and i doubt until PS3, that any game will have perfect sound, to have it spot on would mean losing out on other factors and in all fairness i doubt people would want to lose out on graphics, or mods for a little bit of better sound. The sound however is better than GT3 by a mile, no matter how good your system is. In your case having a better system you should be able to easily say the sound is superb, compared to previous GT games, or any other game in the same genre on PS2.

My opinion is how i have stated, everyone has their own opinion of course but 2 fellas fighting over sound in a game and having little cracks at eachother is just childish in my opinion. Just repsect eachothers opinions and get over it. If someone is a fanboy so be it, they have their own rights and should not be shot down for it.

Brocky (Peacekeeper, lol)

PS. Any news on GTP getting hold of the video?

...hey thanx for the samples egghead!! they´re really good and with fine sound(skyline turbocharged--->yeah!)👍 :)
...now we just have to wait til this video is put on this site in a very professional way namely the complete size (without STOPPING!!!)and complete sound and everything COMPLETE!!!

...but egghead did very nice work ,too!!!:)(kills the time til this video comes to this site at least!)....

Whatever code. The sound was ace imo, might not be as good as GTR's but the car sounded like a real racer and it looked pretty good? Please, that's a very understatment for the most visually impressive racer this generation. Man, you are an idiot code. I bet if I drooled over rsc2's streaming texturing, bad draw distance and the fact it can't stay at a constant frame rate and the fact only one car has a fully modeled shadow, you wouldn't have a problem with that, now would you? Ofcourse you wouldn't, you're an xboy. That's why you are so negative toward gt4.

 have you ever actually played RSC2 cobra? I was playing it like half an hour ago & the scenery ****s on GTs from a great height. The view distance is far far longer than GTs with far far more detail. Where it does actually have grass in stead of a flat low res texture ala GT. Playing in single player I can't say I remember any slowdown in RSC2. Oh did I forget to mention that RSC2 sound is far better than anything I've heard in GT so far? Oh erm guess I forgot to mention car damage too, fully 3D interiors, skidmarks, exhaust pops................/wanders off listing features RSC2 has which are missing from GT ;)

Have they removed the video or something? The link on the bottom of the page which is dated 07/08/2004 links to the file: gt413.mov. That video is an old one... :grumpy:

I guess they probably removed it to save bandwith.. :irked:

Have you even seen the Nürubrgring videos from GT4? You can see all the way clear down the back stretch, which has to be a mile and a half long.
