Nope. rsh is right. The way I remember is by tthis incident at the 2007 Japanese Grand Prix. :P

Ok cool thanks mate.:)
...So where does that leave Nissan I wonder?:odd:

Edit: lol at the above posts, I think you guys have proven you point nicely.👍
Actually the only game I can think of for the GT series that had a Japanese Car on the cover was GT5 Prologue Spec 1...is there others?

Is it me or do the tyre sounds sound more realistic because I think PD wanted to show to everyone that they've improved the tyre sounds or maybe the sounds are still in development.
I'll admit, they did sound like they had more substance to them. However, aside from the actual sound, the problem I have with the GT series is the ease at which those sounds were/are triggered. Even crawling around corners you got tyre screeching which was totally unrealistic.

I wouldn't call it totally unrealistic. Tyres squeel alot when your cornering in real life especially if you're very close to the limit. However the tyre squeels in the GT series are often too loud in my opinion and theyre often the same volume in most situation rather than having more different levels depending on the situation.

Well corrected - you are right, I guess the volume is a big part of the problem. But, I'm not always talking about cars being close to the limit. You get squeeling at some seriously low speeds sometimes. There is also not enough variety in the sounds too. Here's hoping, because this was the biggest beef I had with the series so far.

I think i saw drifting. And by the way can we actually change the face of the driver like puting our own face using the eyetoy? And yes i think the other car is the toyata from Initial D. yehey

i didn't read through all the pages, but PD has even modeled the reflection of that tunnel in the tiny little edges of the headlights. I bow in awe!!

Chris

yes, all that is fine and dandy but let's not get offtopic here.

how is this off topic? i pointed something out from the video which is the topic :)

Is it just me, but did they finally updated the tire squeel at the drifting section of the vid? Sounds so much better now.

Yes i did notice that too!

Chris

The quality sucks, i will make screencaps first when i can see it in HD.
No official shots were released so far.

200hp would be the subaru's turbocharged version. This Toyota version with it's NA boxer has 140-160bhp max.

I've been following this car for a while and there are so many different claims as to what will be in it. The first round of rumors started with a high-winding NA producing around 200hp.

However, the latest I've heard was along the lines of 160hp for the Toyota version, and typical turbocharged AWD madness (I'd assume nothing short of the current STI's 300hp) for the Subaru version.

Honestly, I see no reason why the Toyota version couldn't have a high-compression, NA boxer that made a decent amount of power. The 2.5L in the RS Impreza makes what, 170hp on 87 octane? Bump the compression, timing, cams and what reasons are there for anything less than 190hp?

Look at Prius.. that's why. They would be undermining the hard work they've done with Prius if they'd offer a good, fast car.

both toyota version and subaru version will use normally aspirated 2.0 boxer engines from subaru, currently they put out 140bhp but the newer engine puts out 160bhp which will be ready for when the car goes on sale.
the car was made to a budget so it can be marketed to the young japanese who apparently are becoming less and less interested in cars full stop. target price is £14k in japan. european version considerably more.
