New GT5 footage of the Toyota-FT-86 Concept

Sweet car. I cant wait to see the final spec of the Subaru version(s). I was really considering holding out for one since my last car was totaled out from bad weather but the delayed release just didnt make that a reasonable option so I went with a 2009 Wrx.

talking of subaru wrx, they have stopped making them now. too weak a model they say sti versions and above from now on, they are talking 350+bhp models.

You are like the 2nd person that has mentioned that. Do you happen to have a link? I hope the STi's recieve a power boost, with the 2009/10 WRX jumping up to 265+ it really narrowed the gap.

The track is either Eiger long or a new Eiger. Maybe it's related to damage? In the old one if you were to crash in the first corner for example, you'd just continue downhill. In the video one there is proper stone to crash on. Just speculating...

Parts of that vid were definitely Grand Valley, but other parts with the mountain scenery definitely wern't. Bit's could have been a new version of Deep Forrest but I'm not certain on that.

Well this site seems pretty convinced it's Grossglockner which is a real road in the Alps. Now that would be pretty amazing.

My first reaction: "how on earth would they know...?"

If true this would be awesome. The Grossglockner High Alpine road is a 48km long winding stretch of driving heaven. For once I wouldn't mind to drive it in reverse direction too :sly:

For those who would like to spend their time comparing real life footage to the Toyota trailer, there are a lot of videos on youtube of drivers that captured the entire stretch:

So if they say its Großglockner and it really is a new track and not some generic road, they only build to show off the car, than maybe the 20 tracks issue might no longer be an issue. It might be 20 locations and the Alps are one of these. :dopey:

Wow, this new video is awesome! It almost looks like the lug nuts have led lights on them. That would be pretty sweet! But anyway, the car looks beautiful, and the first track in the video, whatever/wherever it is, looks great. And I sure hope the final tire sounds in the game are revamped to match the sounds in this video. They sound much more real compared to GT5P. And I could really care less if there are no skid marks. If we get what is in that video, I will be 1000% satisfied! I just wish we didn't have to wait so long!

EDIT:
Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 "Hachiroku", but the one in Initial D is one, yes.

nice I love that car in initial D.

If that is the Grossglockner it might lend credability to the whole "locations" tracks issue. Maybe in GT5 the Alps are a location? Then from that we have various tracks such as Eiger, Grossglockner and then maybe some rally stages included in there too, all from this one single location in the world.

Just blind speculation there on my part, especially since we're not even sure if this is the Grossglockner in the video. It is interesting though.

Kaz is teasing us again :)
I hope this mountain road will be included in GT5, at least it looks like a finished track. Somehow it reminds me the mysterious track from California promotion video. I'm not sure if they are the same but different TOD, but it definitely looks really interesting.

Its actually the third road like this we see.
The one from the Cali video, the one from the Italia video and now this.

It's a shame they don't spill more info on these new tracks. I remember the desert track from the Ferrari video left me a bit stumped as well. The only complaints I have though regarding this new track in the Toyota video, is it looks a bit spare for trackside detail. I mean the view looks ace 👍 But the small clusters of trees is what I find ugly with the Eiger track, it just looks so unnatural =/

from the 458 video, it's not a desert track. It's most likely some summer Tuscany scenery with some haystack all around.
The first track from the California seems graphically very poor in comparaison.
But yes, it's the third video with "real" roads... And this one, like the one for the 458 seems a bit too complex to just be built on purpose for this promotion video

It wasn't a desert road, watch it again. It looked more like corn or some kind of grain fields, it certainly didn't look like sand. In fact, if anything it's most like the scenery ni the Tuscany rally.
