PP750 Cape Ring Outside Time Trial

I see a lot on the leaderboard use the Formula Gran Turismo, but to get to 750PP you need to add a lot of weight & set the engine power very low.

Anyone has an good setup based on the Power vs Weight vs Front/Rear downforce ? :)

A little dissapointed to see the R390 road car, dominating another TT. Problem I have is I don't have one and have never seen it in the UCD? Any tips would be appreciated. :)

which is why i say all TT events should be all in the same car. pd provide us the car and we all battle it out

Yeah, the leader board is dominated by the R390 road car!

Try using a NSX, either a used Honda NSX from the UCD or a Acura NSX '91 (available from the NCD).

I've been able to gold this TT using a 1999 Honda NSX Type S Zero after a bit of tuning.

Good luck,

I added ballast up to 1000kg car weight, turned the aero all the way up, and used the engine restrictor after that. I'm well below the gold time (6sec.) but still 3 sec. off the top time. My first attempt was in the '05 Pescarolo, and that was definitely more of a challenge to get gold. Good luck!

I used the 787B to good effect ;)

Tons of Grinding to do when I get home to get some of these cars. I just spent 20,000,000 Cr Yesterday... Darnit...

Luckily I have perfect (normal) cars for the Time Trial Events...

..

I just went the way of all the pro 1337 kids in their R390's, set a 1:31.something on my first lap and promptly stopped there.

And as for the 750PP trial, I finally got a chance to use my F10 without the AI or online physics trying to kill me. Easily came in under the time for gold, instant 2,000,000cr and no real effort involved

Only did the Cape Ring one so far. Used the Forumula GT like most of the best times. Wiped out horrificly on the jump in lap 1 and got bronze, got Gold on 2nd lap. (No tuning other than getting it down to 750.)

I really do like that you can use your Ferrari F1 cars in this, but the FGT is too much. They should have restricted it to cars that actually exist. I'll give it a go in my 2010 F1 later.

Yay, pescarolo courage 04. Just what I need. 5 standards left from full collection. The two time trials are godsend 2 million. Used r390 and minolta for the gold. Have 2 r390 road and shld have bought another when I saw it in ucd to try various tuning options.

No need to use the R390 unless you're looking to be at the top. I did a 1:31.763 in a R34 GTR. It was stock except for the oil change that upped the power to 331hp. A lot of road cars could easily get that time.

The drift trials were kind of a let down. Autumn Ring wasn't that bad but Eiger was so boring, nothing but hairpin corners. I decided to find a way to make it more interesting. This is what I came up with. Took a while but I got the gold with it.

Anyone else using glitched cars from the last dirt trial to compete in the dirt drift?

NIlbf.png

I don't even know how to tune for drifting, and never got all my best sectors on the same run. That car's awesome :D

Not sure what that means? There was a glitch in the last dirt trial?

As for the time trials, I used a detuned F2007 for a a quick 1:21 (now down to 1:18) and an RX7 on the other, which was a bit wobbly on comforts, but got me a 1:29.

Thanks for the tips, I guessed a NSX might be best. Currently using a Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96 and in the 1:28 area, but 10 secs behind the leaders. NSX will be next.

I managed to gold with a slightly modified (but not hp limited or ballasted) NSX S Zero. Those tyres make for some work! I then had a go with the Nissan and ended up with a high 1:25, still waay off the top guys... Might try with a GTR, suspect 4WD weight penalty might be offset by better traction.

Drift trials were very boring, hated the dirt drift and it took a while to get my AEM S2000 to carry decent speed through the second sector. Time trials were fun because i got to use my F10. When i did it i managed to make it into the top 20 but i imagine its back around 5000 now. The other one i just used the R390 to get the prize money and move on.

thanks for the info, have to give it a try tonite.

Used a Peugeot 908 for the 750pp one and got a 1:26 or 1:29. Can't remember anymore.

For the Japanese 90's I've used the premium R32 Skyline with some parts added and golded it by a few seconds.

Pretty fun. I'm going to try the FGT later to see where I end up. Haven't used it in a long time.

Very nice. I just shaved 2 tenths with this setup. Looking at the leaderboard, you're still almost a full second ahead of me though. I think there's more time to be had if I clean things up a bit. :)

Edit: Down almost another 4 tenths (to 1:12.539). 👍👍 for this tune.

Thanks, and will do. I tried your latest tune and improved my time by about another tenth. I might not have much more time to work on it today, but I'll keep you posted if I find anything else that helps.
