Hi, was just wandering if anyone knows if you get anything for finishing on the leaderboards for any of the seasonal events - im currently on the japanese 90's leaderboard for deep forest, just wandering if i get anything (xp or credits) for finishing there.

I've now posted my full 750PP FGT setup here .

Time so far: 1'10.884 (7th Overall)

Ran the Japanese '90s TT last night for the first time without checking this thread first. I was pretty chuffed with 1:30.xx from a mildly tuned Evo Tommi M until I noticed how many people ran the R390! Not sure I'm into this de-tuning thing. I think it's far more interesting to take on the challenge with a car that starts off within the limitations and tune it up rather than down. Horses for courses I suppose.

Easily golded the 750PP TT in a stock Sauber C9. Not going to run the FGT on this for obvious reasons... ;)

Does anyone know how I can get hold of an R390 Road Car? So annoyed at not being able to compete in TTs because of that thing.

With the 200% bonus this pays out a cool 2,000,000cr.

I did both time trials and drift trials for 8,000,000cr in about 45 minutes....

No turbo - more torque but comfort softs don't have enough grip to maintain traction out of the slower corners so I found it quicker without the turbo.

Max speed is whatever it is with the 6-speed close ratio transmission. You can't alter it with that one.

Softer suspension is easier but slower - car understeers in the high speed bends and too much wheel-spin in the traction zones.

:)
thanks friend. I've improved a little bit my time trial but it's so hard with this setting. It needs a big driving experience

It also pretty annoying to look at the top times setups and see that most are using assists

I'm 1rst in Deep Forest and 12 at PP750.

At Deep Forest I can do 1'18.3 but it's difficult to do a perfect lap, and in PP750 at Cape Ring I can do 1'10.5

Nice times dude!👍 You must be crazy good at tuning? Whats the secret?

Its not tuning, I'll tell you that for nothing. I've got the car set up perfectly but I'm 0.6 behind currently and my 'perfect' lap would still be 0.3 down on r_a_c_l's. He just nails every apex and is straight back on full throttle.

Just to break up the serious posts of those gunning for glory :) I used:

'92 RX7 for the Japanese 90s TT
Toyota 7 for the Cape TT (good fun - great track for fast cars).

'66 Shelby Cobra (stock, CS tyres) for the Autumn Ring Drift. I did get Silver in the Midget but it didn't have enough power to build up speed in the short runs between the sectors.

For the dirt drift I used my old favourite drift machine the Subaru 360.

I know I'm never going to be a contender, so I like to try out things that are a bit different. And like Axletramp above I don't want to do big detuning.

PS I picked up the R390 road car in my UCD this week:lol:

I don't know. I feel good with my setup. The setup was in the car before the Time Trial, I changed three things in the car.

1'10.783 in PP750 but 1'10.5 or 1'10.4 is possible (the car it's not mine)

Sorry I don't speek good english.

Didn't mean that he was only good at tuning, hes pretty dam fast anyway!

I'm confused about this time trial thing...
It says 1:29:00 for gold (or there about, don't recall exact time)

Is there any reason I can't seem to post any times, or get my times to register?
I drive and drive and drive, and yet none of my times post.

750PP, Cape Ring Outside, with the Escudo (no mods, no changes)
I'm running 1:23-1:26 (yea, I'm no pro and also don't have a wheel)

I have laid down multiple laps without getting any of those "next lap invalid" notifications, yet I can't seem to get any times to stick.

Is this because all the top times are 1:10s - 1:12s?

I figured it would still give me the prize, because anything under 1:29:x is a gold. Is that not how these trials work?

Is your timer going red at any point? You can invalidate your current lap without being told your next lap is invalidated.

Well dang... I had just assumed laps are invalidated when it says they are.
I never noticed the times going red, mostly because I'm concentrating on my lines... but when I did see the red laps... I just took that for being behind the lead or off the pace.

Sadly, I've been playing this game since day 1, but not much of the TTs...
apparently I'm more of a noob than I thought!

Thanks for the insight.

My replay video - 1'19.134 I intended to give it a last run before the end but never got round to it. Still in the top 20 I think. :)

Congrats on 13th place, I like the way the car drives, so thanks for the borrow. Managed 452 in the end, my highest TT position. Need to practice on my wheel soon, but work and wife get in the way. :)

Is the prize money still high for the drift and time trials?

Quoted from another thread:

Well, I have to tell you a a secret.

Combined prizes for 1st place on Time Trials is 500.00Cr.

For 200% Login Bonus you get 1.000.000Cr.

Nothing is halved there from what I can see.

Oh, and Vagabond 👍

So yes, if you have the multiplier at max (200%) the prizes are still the same, more or less.

Salu2
