I have to agree with Phil Simms and his partner in the booth (not sure who he's with tonight). This has been absolutely disgraceful.

Over/under on fines being handed out after tonight?
Don't fine them. If they are stupid enough to continue to mock the NFL just sit them for their next game and watch the fans want these clowns out of town fast enough.

And once again, the bengals just HAVE to do something stupid right at the end to cost them everything; and the fans throwing stuff at steelers players is just... there no words to describe it

"It's embarrassing, it has no place in the game, it's stupid."

Safe to say that what Tony Gonzalez said could be directed at a lot of things that occurred during that game.

After the game finished, I think Big Ben was actually told by Tomlin (or a member of the coaching staff) during an interview to get straight off the field. That's just how bad the fans were.

As a Steelers fan, that game made me want to puke. Cincinnati could have won it fairly but no, Burfict had to go crazy. If Pittsburgh lost I would have been disappointed, but I wouldn't feel like throwing up.

Eh, we're still in it so I have some reason to be happy. On to Denver.

It's like soccer games! :D

If Vontaze Burfict had something between the ears, he would have been a top 5 overall pick. The guy plays like feral dog.

That game. Just ugh...

As good as Burfict is, we can't have a player like that on the team.

Several players (on both sides) need to be heavily fined and suspended for this debacle. Refs as well. They had no control over the players. They missed an obvious penalty with the Shazier hit on Gio. I believe Eifert also took a hit on what should have been a hit on a defenseless player (no call on that either). Add on to that ex-Steeler player and current assistant Joey Porter strolling into the Bengals huddle, with Pacman giving him a shove to go away, and the refs penalizing Pacman for it? What the hell was Porter doing in there? I agree the rest of the penalties against the Bengals should have been called like they were. But it never should have gotten to the point that it did. The refs needed to step in early and let the players know what was what. They didn't, and 🤬 ensued.

I don't know. All I know is I'm pissed.

0-7 in our last 7 playoff appearances and 5 straight. Marvin needs to go. Futility in big games and no control over his players. He helped guide the team to be playoff contenders, but is incapable of getting us over the hump.

(I'll see how I feel tomorrow. Some opinions may change after cooling off.)

That Bengals/Steelers game was about as crazy as it gets. I don't agree with a lot of things that happened in that game. The referees were inconsistent as ever, between the helmet to helmet no call that took out Bernard and the agreeable call on Burfict slamming Brown, the toxic crowd, the fighting. It was certainly entertaining, and as a Bengals fan, disappointing. We had it and really just threw it back to Pittsburgh like "it's okay, we don't want to prove anyone wrong". I wouldn't say get rid of Lewis, because let's face it, no one knows the team better and I'd be happier as a playoff qualifying team than an inconsistent, once in a blue moon playoff team. Gonna use the now repetitive montra, there's always next year.

You might want to go back and watch that final sequence again instead of watching the Chris Rose version on NFL network. Porter was on the field with the trainers who were taking care of Brown and wasnt in the huddle. When Brown started walking off the field Burfict came up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder and was pushed away by a member of the Steelers training staff. Porter was walking behind them and stopped to say something to Burfict when #95 dingleberry came up behind Porter and chest bumped him in the back. Burfict then grabbed Porters jacket and words were exchanged when Steelers LT Villenueva came up and grabbed Porter and pulled him away. It was at that point that ms.pacman came running in and tried to punch Porter while climbing over 2 refs.

Boomer Easison said it best.

Okay. I saw the highlights of PIT at CIN on the NFL's website. That game was quite nuts in the late stages of the game. I could understand the chippy nature of this game, but this was way too much.Suffice to say, this seemed more like some Bush League football by a bunch of secondary school students rather than professional athletes playing the game with pride and honor. Then, I saw what Vontaze Burfict was responding to almost every question with "I don't know." If he gets cut from the Bengals, who'd want this guy on any team? Or could be possibly be at a point where his professional career is basically over?

Now to clarify a few things from my rant-laden post. I basically knew the Texans were playing on house money (so to speak). Even hot messes of teams and teams without any real chemistry could still beat almost any team almost any day. The Texans made too many mistakes and could have played much better even though I didn't think we'd stand a chance anyways. I was just upset that the Texans could have played much better even against a more talented opponent considering how much a mess the Texans are. I'm not saying the Chiefs aren't as good as they actually are, but this game should have been much closer and much more competitive than what the game eventually turned out to be. You start 2-5 and end up finishing 9-7 and win the AFC South, and you parlay that by putting together a 🤬 effort like on Saturday in a playoff game? That's incosistent and unacceptable. The Texans put up at least something while getting whacked at Miami and vs. New England but can't score at all in a playoff game. Maybe Kansas City had it right- take the opening kickoff for a touchdown, then build upon it with offense, offense on top of offense, and truly show the Texans the error of their ways. No matter how you slice it, the Texans just seemed cursed all game long. Again- I didn't have the Texans winning this game, but I also didn't have them lose this bad, let alone not score a single point.

So that's how it ends. Houston and Cincinnati- already known as miserable sports cities, only continue their futility with respective losses in their games. We'll see on Sunday which NFC teams will join HOU and CIN as teams knocked out of the 2015 Playoffs when GB at WAS and SEA at MIN conclude.

What I feel should happen.
1. Burfict and Jones both get 1 game suspension.
2. Porter gets rest of season ban from field AND fine.
3. Coach who pulled on a Bengals player's hair deliberately gets hefty fine for instigation.

Very unfortunate right there, can't believe something like that happened. The only good part I see is the Packers or Redskins don't have to play the Panthers (yet?).
