:(

Man, Tom Brady must be so mad. Ndamukong Suh, Cam Wake, Sheldon Richardson, Leonard Williams, and Buffalo's whole line twice a year. Yikes.

I'm pretty glad we got Devante Parker. He should be a serviceable WR, but he has a superstar ceiling. Solid Dennis Hickey pick here. And it's a welcome change from that complete FAILURE that was Jeff Ireland.

In case you missed it, Dion Jordan is suspended for the entire 2015 for watering down his pee pee test. 🤬 moron. Biggest draft bust in Dolphins history.

Anyway, it's pretty remarkable that the Fins completely overhauled the receiving corps in just one offseason. Look at this:

Wallace/Hartline/Gibson/Clay all replaced by Stills/Jennings/Parker/Cameron. What an upgrade! And we have Jarvis Landry going big into year 2 and Rishard Matthews too. Jennings and Landry are going to be the chemistry guys. Should transform the WRs from a group of prima donnas sitting on their cash to a bunch of young, enthusiastic professionals.

In 3 years we're going to have Parker, Stills, and Landry as XYZ receivers in their prime. That is going to be tough to defend. Time for Tannehill to produce.

Did anyone else just catch Goodell's flub while introducing the Saint's 3rd round pick?

I'm good with this. We still need more guards though.

Damn it, even though we got Zac Stacy I was really hoping Jay Ajayi would be nowhere near us, he's gonna be a beast

As long as he can stay healthy he'll be a monster, but his knee is a mess. It's already bone on bone apparently.

Jay will be alright, I think. Even if we get him for one contract before his knee is shot, that's a better option than a lot of the free agents out there.

And the 243 page report by Ted Wells has been released. Here's the juiciest part of it, on pages 121 and 122.

VIII. by the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game
Based on the evidence developed in connection with the investigation and summarized in this Report, we have concluded that it is more probable than not that New England Patriots personnel participated in violations of the NFL Playing Rules and were involved in a deliberate attempt to circumvent those rules. In particular, we conclude that
it is more probable than not that Jim McNally and John Jastremski participated in a deliberate plan to circumvent the rules by releasing air from Patriots game balls after the examination of the footballs by NFL game officials atthe AFC Championship Game. We believe that McNally and Jastremski were aware that the inflation
level of the Patriots game balls following pre-game inspection by the game officials would be approximately 12.5 psi
and planned for McNally to deflate the balls below that level following the pre-game inspection using a needle provided by Jastremski.
Based on the evidence, we also have concluded that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally awareof theinappropriate activities of McNally and Jastremski involving the release of air from Patriots game balls.

So when the Patriots get suspended, are they going to complain of the charges being inflated?

That makes at least three Super Bowls that the Pats need to be stripped of. This is pretty brazen by the team owned by Robert Kraft, but his buddy Roger Goodell will more than likely protect him again.

This is why I will never watch another down again.

The ruling on Brady could come out later today. 4 games for conduct detrimental and ? for the cheating. Sean Peyton sat for a year, I bet Brady gets the same and has it reduced to 8 games under appeal.

Wouldn't past issues possibly eliminate the appeal? Then again, the NFL somehow cut Josh Gordon a deal and he went and violated it again.

The more I see from Parker, the more I can't believe we got him at #14. His catch radius is unreal.

AND we just got Christion Jones!

Jaguars DE Dante Fowler Jr., the 3rd overall pick in this year's draft, is done for the year. He tore his ACL in the first practice he participated in.

That's terrible. I wish Dante Fowler well in recovering to hopefully be able to go for next season. Nothing sucks more than either not playing an official game or even any preseason or practice action... and be done for the season with an injury.

Brady and Belichick could face suspensions of considerable length. The issue of suspending Sean Payton for a year for his non-involvement in the Bounty scandal is that it created a precedent. If those two don't get out with at least a year suspension, every able bodied American ought to sue the NFL.

Not going to happen. If Brady gets suspended for more than two games I'll be surprised. It would be nice but it probably won't happen

THIS JUST IN...

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady got suspended four games for the "Deflategate" deal. (SOURCE: ESPN Bottom Line) Here are more details on the punishment handed down by the NFL:

Fines...
Patriots fined $1M USD

Draft Picks...
* forfeit 1st Round draft pick in 2016
* forfeit 4th Round draft pick in 2017

Suspensions...
Tom Brady suspended four games

Too much, too little, just right? Any thoughts of any kind on this matter?

[UPDATE] Added fine and draft details to post.

As much as I hate the Patriots, it may have been a little much to take their first round pick. Either way, **** New England and I hope they wait until Week 7 to raise the banner so that we can kick the **** out of them afterwards

I'm surprised it's 4 games. I think it is a fair punishment but I am a Jets fan. I do feel however that the NFL is kind of underhanded because Brady returns against the Colts. Hopefully the 4 games stick.:gtpflag:

I'm pretty sure that even if they win the appeal, they still lose the draft pick, so that's great :D

There's a lot of evidence. I think New England should have their trophy taken back and win vacated.

New England on the offensive.... sounds like a "really believable story"

The Patriots have launched a website called WellsReportContext (linked below) that responds to the assertions made in the Wells Report. "The conclusions of the Wells Report are, at best, incomplete, incorrect and lack context," the introduction says. The site goes on to cite a Nobel Prize winner about PSI levels and makes the insulting claim that football handler McNally called himself the "Deflator" because he was trying to shed pounds. We've reached new lows in the absurdity of Deflategate.

That's just dumb why don't they just admit what done and move on. This is not a good look for the NFL or the Patriots IMHO. Just saying.

According to a poll conducted on Tuesday by NFL fans...

* 69% think the New England Patriots knowingly cheated.
* 42% think the latest Super Bowl win was tainted.
* 73% think Tom Brady is a Hall of Famer.
* 61% see Tom Brady as a good role model.

Interesting, eh? Also, Roger Goodell will preside over Brady's appeal. The drama continues...
