NFL 2015 Season

The suspension for Tom Brady has been upheld. So no Brady for four games this upcoming season.

Of course, we get the Patriots to end the season. Damn it.

If Brady's legal team was smart, they would tell him to serve the suspension early instead of fighting it. He runs the risks of missing the playoffs if they go back should they fight it.

I know, right? I at least hope they start wearing them often as the Patriots do.

My guess is they want the injunction and then drag it out for a few years in the courts so that he can retire before he actually has to serve the suspension.

They're only wearing them for MNF against the Giants. Hopefully they'll sell a ton, especially with HBO's Ballers show and everything, and then go full adoption like the Pats.

I read on FOX Sport 1's bottom line that Arian Foster suffered a groin injury during a recent practice and will require surgery. It's said he should return. I am honestly not very confident about my Texans this upcoming season. Maybe we overachieve in some way, but I just don't know what to make of the Texans outside of defense. I don't think we'll have a 2-14 season or anything, though. At least 8 wins will make me happy about the 2015 Houston Texans.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony is due to start in mere moments. The name I'm most proud of for this year's Class is Jerome Bettis. I also respect Junior Seau.

Are you ready for some football? No... are you? Tonight's the Hall of Fame game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings. Since this is an exhibition, this doesn't mean anything towards the regular season or any postseason implications. This basically begins the little transition that eventually leads up to the start of the regular season. Enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching.

Damn. I was hoping to see Mike Zimmer go off on a tirade after that challenge and was disappointed.

The Jets lost Geno Smith for a few weeks because his jaw was broken by a teammate who sucker punched him in practice.

Over a non-football argument too. LB IK Enemkpali who is a practice squad player decked him for putting a "finger to his mouth". Whatever seriousness and professionalism the organization had was just lost to hothead buffoon who can't control himself.

(Tree'd, I know...)

Stay classy. Something I read on Twiter was that among the New York Jets' locker room, Geno Smith got sucker punched by a teammate. G. Smith will be out 6-10 weeks thanks to this. Wow. This is about as stupid as "The Knockout Game" from last year or so. This is worse than teams fighting each other in training and scrimmages- even including my Texans throwing down against the Redskins this past weekend. But this is still absolutely brutal, and I wish Geno Smith well in recovering. I'd immediately dismiss from the team that dope who sucker punched Geno Smith. Again- stay classy.

As a Texans fan, Ryan Fitzpatrick is serviceable at best. Fitzy didn't exactly set the NFL on fire with the Texans, but he is surely above average. So maybe he will not be too bad being QB for the Jets.

The guy who sucker puched Geno Smith was indeed dismissed from the Jets. This whole incident is still incredibly Bush League.

The whole argument started because the guy claimed that Geno owed him $600 for plane tickets. I can't speak for anyone else, but I wouldn't bother breaking somebody's jaw over $600.

How in the hell does Fitzy keep getting starting jobs?? He has to be the luckiest QB in the league. Wherever he lands (as a backup, mind you), he always ends up starting at some point due to the poor #1 schmuck getting injured. I think John sort of has him down, serviceable at best. I'm not sure I would call him above average though. At least not his stint with the Bengals.

As for the punch, incredibly stupid. Good luck finding a job with another team.

The Bills have claimed Enemkpali off waivers. Link.
Why am I not surprised it's Rex Ryan. It was funny, because when I first read about the sucker punch, I immediately thought of Rex (here we go again) because it was the Jets. Then I remembered he wasn't with them anymore. No matter, though. There has to be a circus show wherever he is.

According to something I read on Yahoo! Sports, nobody's sticking up for Geno Smith after he got sucker punched. The article says "Report: Eyewitnesses say Geno 'deserved It.'" It is still a sad deal.

Hey, on the bright side... are you ready for some Preseason football? A bunch of games are slated for this weekend including a few games tonight. Remember that this is the Preseason. None of these games matter towards any regular season or playoff implications. Win all your Preseason games? Good. Lose all your Preseason games? Good. It's just dress rehearsal for the new season. So go enjoy these Preseason games and get ready for the regular season. Most importantly, try to stay healthy. You don't want players going out and end up missing a lot of games or even the entire season.

Enjoy the Preseason. Good luck to all of your teams.

Geno has an attitude problem. He's a mistake we will likely not see much of soon.

Watching Miami vs Chicago was great. Our camp guys are hot garbage, but the starters ripped off the Bears' heads and **** down their necks. Both sides of the ball. I'm so excited for my Feenz this year. Just hope no one gets injured or else we're boned. Two of our starting linebackers already got hurt. Hope they make it back for the start of the season.
