NFL General Discussion

I bet SportsCenter will open with Tebow losing. Since they're always covering him.

That's why I haven't watched anything on ESPN for the past week, I'm so sick and tired of every second thing being about Tebow.

And that was a terrible display of sportsmanship by Von Miller.

It was. Very sore loser I think.

I just thought of something...

Tim Tebow is a white version of Vince Young

You know ESPN is going over the line when they have a 1 HOUR (yes that's 60 minutes) dedicated to Tim Tebow (which is utterly insane). Isn't there a 60 minute show already for Tebow (called an NFL game)? The second thing they did was compare LeBron James to Tebow, which borders on mentally retarded.

I posted this on my facebook a day or two ago: Lebron has no 4th quarter, and Tebow has no 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters.

With your powers combined, I am Captain Dollar!

Also Tebow won 2 National Titles in College. LeBron won..... wait, he didn't go to college. I don't know, 2 vs. N/A is really tough.

I'll be pulling for the Ravens and Packers tomorrow. I'd like a Ravens/Packers Super Bowl.

I love to see a Ravens/49ers Super Bowl. Or as it will be called the Super Harbaugh Bowl.

No surprise that Tebow struggled last night. The Pats had a long time to adjust to the option and of course having a qb like Brady helps, just a little bit lol. Yes Tebow's shortcomings were glaring last night but he can only get better from here in the offseason working with Elway, or lose his job to Brady Quinn lol.

God I hope the Packers beat the 49rs because the Harbowl would be insufferable because of Jim...although it was pretty funny when he had that dustup with Schwartz.

Texans at Ravens followed by Giants at Packers today. Best wishes to all teams. Time to fill out the Divisional Championship matches with today's games. Two teams' seasons will continue; two will conclude.

Except he's won a playoff game. Pulled through in the clutch before. There's probably more, but it's apples-to-oranges at that point.

The fact the owners and the coaches probably disagreed on who should start is a major similarity. I don't see Timmy having a major breakdown, although I also don't imagine Tebow having a long career; he seems like he'd turn his back on success just to make a point for his faith, unless he caves-in, Tiger Woods-style.

I'm rooting for the Packers because they are the only team I have reason to: If GB goes to the Super Bowl, they pull out their players from the Pro Bowl; the Seahawks have multiple alternates that would then get into the game. And I'm all for Seahawks in the Pro Bowl.

I'm going for the Giants today, I think they are a more complete team than the Packers. Giants defense impressed me last week. And I'm hoping for the Ravens and 49ers to win next week.

It's already been named HarBowl 2.0 👍.

That's much better actually.👍

Look who is rooting for the red & gold. :sly:

Sorry, JohnBM01, we're still waiting for a wild card week team to win and it won't be the Houston Texans.

Baltimore Ravens hold back the stampede of the Houston Texans: 20-13.

Defense kept us in it, but the Ravens were just too much at home. So no improbable upset win for my Texans. Then again, who said we were actually FAVORED to win and supposed to win a road playoff game against a team that... is perfect at home? T.J. Yates had to get warmed up before he basically started playing like the game changer he can be. I was expecting a Ravens' lynch job on my Texans, but the scoring was kept low, so not as much bloodshed. Bad decisions by T.J. Yates as well as that muff by Jacoby Jones were the main culprits in our loss. If anything, the Texans got a dose of reality- we were a great team who lost to a better team- again. They can get better next season. They hopefully WILL be better next season. This loss just wasn't as lopsided as the first meeting. It was 20-13 in favor of Baltimore.

Can't say it enough- I'm damned proud of my Texans. Expectations will surely be high next season for the Texans to build off of this season's successes. Well... next time I see NFL action will be with the Super Bowl. Unhappy birthday present for me.

If you're wanting a "Harbaugh Bowl" in Indianapolis, you're now one game away from having that reality potentially come true. I'm just mad as a Texans fan that we get written off so poorly just to try to market a deal like a possible Ravens/49ers match.

New York has repeated its 2007 feat, go to Green Bay and win.

The final 4 have been set:

#2 Baltimore Ravens (13-4) @ #1 New England Patriots (14-3) Sunday January 22nd @ 3 PM ET (CBS).

#4 New York Giants (11-7) @ #2 San Francisco 49ers (14-3) Sunday January 22nd @ 6 PM ET (FOX).

DISCOUNT DOUBLE CHOKE!!

Hahaha. The gmen are kinda like the marlins in the postseason.

Really looking forward to the Giants/49ers NFC Championship game next week. It should be a great one.

Congratulations to Baltimore and the New York Giants. Of course, congrats also to San Francisco and New England as well.

Us Texans fans still appreciate what all the Texans have accomplished, and we know we can return to the postseason for seasons to come. We (Texans fans) have long supported the Texans all the way regardless. Just sad it had to end this way. Some say we can use another solid WR to help out the offense a bit. I hope our defense can play the same way it's played all season including this awesome defensive effort. We can only go up in the future. Even with all we've been through, I don't really think any Texans fan should feel bad about anything. We're not the "same old Texans." I think we can only get better. Past seasons, we've been boys. This season, we became men. T.J. Yates became a man even as we were down to our third-string QB. This Texans team is almost the sort of winning team we always know we could be. But again- our sunset had to happen the way it did in Baltimore. A little more is needed for the Texans to actually be a proper threat to win the Divisional Championship and (God willing) a Super Bowl. Still, I'm damned proud of my boys.

Bring on the AFC and NFC Championship games!
