NFL General Discussion

No way dude. The first round of this year's draft is top half offense bottom half defense.

There's going to be a run on QBs, with Trent Richardson being the first one gone to a team that doesn't desperately need a QB, followed by Blackmon. I wouldn't be surprised if Carolina wound up with Blackmon. They need to give Cam Newton some more weapons.

They need to get that offense souped up because Chud will be a head coach next season, and he might bring Mike Shula with him. Bank on it.

Steelers at 49ers TONIGHT!

Beautiful San Francisco... boring Candlestick Park (or whatever their stadium is really called). Steelers want to strike gold by taking down San Francisco in their 'hood. The Niners, meanwhile, are ready to hold serve against the boys from Pittsburgh. If you think this is going to be another matchup of two teams going nowhere, BOTH have double-digit wins on the season (both have 10-3 records). Both teams have nothing to lose as both are going to the Playoffs. Time to see who wins this one tonight.

Put on a good show, PIT and SF!

The last tough game of the regular season is tonight!

49ers vs. Steelers on ESPN.

Let's see what Big Ben can do on one foot. 49ers need to win because New Orleans won, a first round playoff BYE is on the line in the NFC.

Ben plays better when injured. I'm convinced of this. Should be a great game, though.

2nd Blackout in San Francisco. I'm wondering if there will be as many blackouts as quarters.

Big Ben yelling at an idiot running on the field: "Where's James Harrison when you need him?"

I just want Baltimore to crush Cincinnati New Years Day. If the Steelers win then maybe its worth it to root for them. I don't know.

49ers beat the Steelers 20-3, after Big Ben throws 3 Ints. That San Fran defence is super impressive.

Now that the Steelers lost and if the Patriots win out they get the #1 seed in the AFC?

Yes, which means that they won't have to face either Houston, Baltimore or Pittsburgh (one of the 3 certainly) until the AFC Championship. They may, however, have to face New York again.

The 49ers management is probably counting down the days until they open their new stadium in Santa Clara. Candlestick Point is known to have atrocious infrastructure. That's the main reason why they aren't making the new stadium on that site.

It's sad San Francisco can't have a lovely football stadium much like they have the lovely AT&T Park. Pretty sure the new stadium in Santa Clara will be much better for the Niners.

So here's the updated Division Standings after this past weekend's games (courtesy: Yahoo! Sports)...

!! = division champ

Just two more weekends of NFL action to determine who all makes the playoffs and who all will be watching the playoffs.

The new stadium is going to be absolutely gorgeous.

That's looks very impressive actually.

Seahawks are officially out. I'll now cheer for the Steelers. I hate Big Ben but for whatever reason my uncle has been a big Steelers fan since I was little so I've always watched them too, they are my next team.

^^ Traitor, lol. I admit, I was a Steeler fan too, back when they had The Bus (loved that guy), but ever since 2005 I can't root for them. Good thing Bussy retired, that would have been tough deciding to root for or against.

I'm not that hardcore of a Seahawks fan plus I'll pull the, "I'm Canadian" card so I don't have to be dedicated to just one team. I'm not really mad at the Steelers for that Super Bowl, the officiating however is a different story.

Why do yinz hate the Stillers?

I personally dislike Brady and Belichick for cheating, but I also have issues with the Kraft family's influence over Goodell (we HATE him here). Why does Albert Haynesworth get no suspension when he pleads guilty to charges of assault when Ben Roethlisberger gets 4 games suspension for something he allegedly did, but no charges were ever legally brought. I'm not defending what he did, but it just seems a bit strange, especially considering Goodell's friendship with Kraft.

I hate the Patriots due to cheating and stealing Belichek (who turned out to cheat anyways) but I don't have any hate towards Kraft. I also hate the Dolphins.

I don't hate Kraft, I just think he might be using his influence a bit too much. I don't like him, though.

While we are on a hating binge, I hate Dallas. Jerry Jones can take his money and build the biggest stadiums, but he can't buy the best team. And I still don't know why Romo is starting. I hear he has good stats, but he is the biggest choker I have seen in my life. And if you want any proof that stats don't win championships, look no further than the Miami Heat from last season... but that's a different story.

That's what us Dolphin fans do, too.

Okay, not everyone, but if you're a fan of the sport, you'll find some team(s) or some players to root for in the post-season.
