NFL General Discussion

That's what us Dolphin fans do, too.

Okay, not everyone, but if you're a fan of the sport, you'll find some team(s) or some players to root for in the post-season.

Agree. I root for Ray Rice despite his playing for the Ravens because we share an alma mater. I remember watching him play in college as he's only 1 year older than I.

Why do yinz hate the Stillers?

I personally dislike Brady and Belichick for cheating, but I also have issues with the Kraft family's influence over Goodell (we HATE him here). Why does Albert Haynesworth get no suspension when he pleads guilty to charges of assault when Ben Roethlisberger gets 4 games suspension for something he allegedly did, but no charges were ever legally brought. I'm not defending what he did, but it just seems a bit strange, especially considering Goodell's friendship with Kraft.

Because on the outrage meter, rape is ten times worse than assault.

Tonight, it's my Texans at the formerly winless Colts. The site of this season's Super Bowl will get some face time in Prime Time on Thursday night. I'll have to see if my 2011 AFC South Champion Texans can shake off that rough loss against the Carolina Panthers. This game marks the final game of 2011 for my Texans. After this, my Texans are at home to host the Titans on New Year's Day.

Absolute bulls:censored: ending gave the Colts a 19-16 win. Penalties by the Texans helped the Colts basically gave them the chance to win the game basically on the door step. Teams were 0-18 against a double-digit win team. Now, it's 1-18. I feared the Colts would beat us. Now, they're on a winning streak. Not to mention... a former Texans QB beating us.

Damn it to f:censored:ing hell!!!!!!

[UPDATE] Actually, I feared the Colts would be winless up to this point and win their first game against my boys. Now, those punks won And... we're winless all-time in Indianapolis. I'm mad as Hell. We played fairly well all game long. Defense kept us in it until s:censored:ty penalty calls gave the Colts new life.

Okay, I'll give it to them. They beat us. Still, this is f:censored: inexcusable. Happy now, Colts? You beat the AFC South Champions. Your season's been over a long time ago... freaking happy now? (screaming violenty)

Oh, well. Good luck to the other teams playing this weekend.

Want to make some playoff moves? Better make 'em this weekend, if not next weekend. My Texans failed on Thursday night at the Colts (0-10 all time at Indy for them). Time for those playoff races to heat up. Feel free to chat about the games today.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all you lovely GTPlanet peoples. :D

Alright, let's see what Tebow can do. My region has his game for some reason, Denver is down 12 with about 14 minutes left.

First drive of the 4th for Denver stalls on a dropped pass. Dropped passes annoy me to no end.

Fitzpatrick runs for a first down on 3rd and 12.. That's a bit sad.

And Tebow throws a pick 6 and loses a fumble for a TD. I'll stop watching now, 40-14 Buffalo.

Lolololol. I'm kinda hoping the fins lose and everyone else wins now. ALL ABOUT THAT DRAFT POSITION BABY!

I saw the two turnovers for scores in the DEN at BUF game. I joked saying that "Tebow Time" need some new batteries because the Bills owned the Broncos. It's sad to believe they lost seven straight after such a great start. Tebow just got smacked around.

I'm kind of watching the Eagles at Cowboys game now. Even if the Eagles were to win 77-0 over Dallas, it means nothing because the Eagles' postseason hopes are done. The Eagles can thank the N.Y. Giants for ruining their playoff hopes.

Good Lord. I would have probably landed on my head had I attempted that maneuver.

Pretty awesome day in the NFL if you ask me, the Panthers smashed the Bucs, the Bills picked off Tebow four times, the Giants beat the Jets and Brandon Jacobs called Rex Ryan a 🤬.

Brandon Jacobs owns lol. "They got a big-mouth coach. A big-mouth, big-belly coach."

Terrible day for football with AP and Ponder going down though. Hopefully they both recover. AP's hit looked NASTY.

Torn ACL and MCL for Peterson. Very strong chance he will miss week 1 in 2012 and possibly more games.

I forgot about that when I posted before, hope they both recover well and hopefully AP doesn't miss the start of the 2012 season.

It wasn't a very Merry Christmas for the Bears, as they got spanked 35-21 at Green Bay. Who the heck is going to beat the Packers come playoff time?

AP will be lucky if he's anything remotely close to what he was before this injury.

Jake Long also tore his biceps this weekend. Sometimes you just have to ask why. Why are the superstars getting hurt in these meaningless games?

Speaking of the Saints... Falcons at Saints TONIGHT!

It's the final Monday Night Football of the 2011 season, and it involves two NFC South teams with nothing to lose- both are in the playoffs. Two dome teams (I hear Atlanta is considering a non-dome stadium to be opened in 2015 or so) will clash down in New Orleans. Can the 11-3 Saints ground the 9-5 Falcons? We'll see later tonight.

I don't know about any of you, but my dad said that the newspaper he reads said that he'd be lucky if he ever played again, period. I don't know if that's an exaggeration or not, but I wish him all the best.

I'm hoping that whatever happens that Jimmy Graham doesn't score two TDs unless Pierre Thomas scores 1.

That's the point I was making. It would be miraculous if he came back. But even if he did he most likely won't be the same. See Terrell Davis-- same injury.

Hopefully he comes back like Welker did. But, remember, both his ACL and MCL are gone so it would really be a miracle.
