NFL General Discussion

Redskins are coming back! Grossman threw a nice TD to Roy Helu. I so wish I could start a 'HEEEEEELLLLLLUUUUUU!' chant. And the Bills just gave up the lead. The Pats have 28 unanswered points.

Yes the pro-bowl selections are ridiculous. London Fletcher, of the Redskins leads the league in tackles, and is the most consistent defensive player in the league, and gets snubbed out of a pro-bowl spot.

London Fletcher has never been given the credit he deserves, he is consistently one of the best ILB in the league. He has always been overlooked, from his time in St. Louis to Buffalo and now in Washington.

Stumbling to the finish line, we failed for the third straight time. This time, a 23-22 loss to the Titans. We may be playing them again next weekend here in Houston if the Titans get the AFC Wild Card. And if we play the way we did today, our first Playoff game will be our last game of the 2011 season. Jake Delhomme needs a lot of WD-40 and plenty of welding because he was very rusty. T.J. Yates proved slightly effective under center. At the worst f:censored: moment, a False Start and a bad snap ruined the Texans' hopes of trying to make an incredible play. They should have went for an Extra Point to tie.

I am seriously concerned what the Texans can do in the playoffs the way we've been playing in our losing streak. Well... I'll have to see what the Texans can do next week to see what we really have. And, will (what we have) be enough to mean anything significant for going far into the playoffs?

The bulls:censored: continues in H-Town. We may not last for long in the playoffs if this s:censored: keeps up by my boys.

Patriots ended up blowing out the Bills 49-21. Seemed like the Bills just gave up after scoring all their points in the 1st quarter.

Tennessee (9-7) keeps their season alive, defeating Houston (10-6): 23-22 Tennessee has eliminated New York from playoff contention. Oakland is eliminated from Wild Card contention.

Miami (6-10) ends New York's (8-8) season: 19-17 New York is eliminated.

New England (13-3) scores 49 unanswered to crush Buffalo (6-10): 49-21 New England clinches 1st seed in AFC.

Jacksonville (5-11) takes care of Indianapolis (2-14): 19-13 Indianapolis has clinched first draft pick.

New Orleans (13-3) suffocates Carolina (6-10): 45-17 New Orleans is locked in as the #3 seed in the NFC.

Chicago (8-8) beats Minnesota (3-13): 14-13

Philadelphia (8-8) handles Washington (5-11): 34-10

San Francisco (13-3) survives against St. Louis (2-14): 34-27 San Francisco has clinched the #2 seed in the NFC.

Green Bay (15-1) in possibly the most ridiculous game this season, beats Detroit (10-6): 45-41.

Stevie Johnson once again makes an idiot of himself and pretty much causes his team to collapse.

I really hope in the off-season the Hawks can get a new QB. I lost track how many times throughout the season Jackson has overthrown a 6'5" receiver in addition to his low mental capacity and high level of turnovers and sacks.

Well there was Andrew Luck, and Robert Griffin III but the real race for a QB may be in the FA market. Matt Flynn is a FA and based on his unreal performance today (480 yds 6 TDs) may demand huge money as a starter.

And now for the late games:

Baltimore (12-4) takes out Cincinnati (9-7): 24-16. Baltimore has clinched the #2 seed. Pittsburgh has clinched the #5 seed. Cincinnati has clinched the #6 seed. Tennessee is eliminated from playoff contention.

Pittsburgh (12-4) survives against Cleveland (4-12): 13-9. Pittsburgh has clinched the #5 seed.

Kansas City (7-9) takes revenge with Orton on Denver (8-8): 7-3 Denver has won the AFC West.

San Diego (8-8) rolls over Oakland (8-8): 38-26. Denver has clinched the #4 seed on 3rd tiebreaker. Oakland is eliminated from Playoff contention.

Atlanta (10-6) dismantles Tampa Bay (4-12): 45-24. Atlanta has clinched the #5 Seed. Detroit has clinched the #6 seed.

Damn the Saints destroyed the Panthers. They are going to very hard to stop in the playoffs with their offense playing like that.

That Broncos/Chiefs game has to be the worst game i have ever witnessed.

The Broncos just backed into the playoffs. The only team in that division that deserved to be there were the Chargers, but they shot themselves in the foot midway in the season.

If the Broncos don't look at getting a Quarterback next year they might as well just throw in the towel for next season.I still don't see why people believe in him.Tebow will never be a NFL QB,he is a benchwarmer and that is it.

Tebow will be hurting next week against a pretty intense Steelers defense. He may not even get a pass completed next week.I see the Broncos being humiliated very badly next week.

On a lighter note,if the Cowboys win i'll have to hear it all week how great they are from my sister's husband

The Saints are the hottest team in the league right now. They keep playing like this they will easily get to the Super Bowl. Drew Brees NFL MVP and New Orleans Saints 2-Time Super Bowl Champions!

We'll trade you Sanchez. I'm sure he'll fit in there.

I prefer Philip Rivers just fine :)

Sorry i should have stated i was a Chargers fan.

As you can tell, i don't like Tebow

Well we get your old coach. Norv is coming to NY it seems. Would you like Schottenheimer?

I heard we may get Andy Reid.I don't know much about him and i don't keep up with the Eagles.I do know he has been wit the Eagles for a long time.

I would rather have Marty back to be completely honest. There is a gleem. :)

John Gruden or Jeff Fischer would be a good fit in San Diego i believe.,but i would think that wouldn't happen.

I believe that Reid will be staying in Philadelphia following the team finishing 8-8. Spagnolo apparently will be going there as the DC.

Well i can scratch off Reid as a possible coach.

I just hope San Diego doesn't make another boneheaded move and get another crap coach.

Just wait untill the end of next season, you might be able to get John Fox and Tim Tebow in a 2 for 1 deal.

Oh wait, you said you didn't want another crap coach. Sorry.

Nooooo.

The Broncos can keep John Fox and that so called wannabe QB Tebow.I think the Broncos do just fine with them 2

In the final game of the regular season:

New York (9-7) sweeps away Dallas (8-8): 31-14.

The Cowboys don't play good enough in the beginning of games. That obviously hurts them alot.

Didn't help that they threw away too many games as well. Many teams did that. If Tennessee didn't lose to Indy they would be the 6 seed, if New York decided at one point to figure out how to protect the Quarterback they may have won more than 8 games.
