MVP: Tom Brady. Offensive Player of Year: Drew Brees. Defensive Player of Year: London Fletcher. Offensive Rookie of Year: Cam Newton. Defensive Rookie of Year: Von Miller. Comeback Player of the Year: Matt Moore. Coach of the Year: Bill Belichik. Rushing Title: Maurice Jones-Drew.

Well, this will be the first playoffs I'll be watching, as my Texans make their playoff debut. I'll have a lot to learn (and so will the Texans) about being in and playing in the Playoffs. No matter what happens, I'm proud of my boys. 2003 or 2004 was the first ever Super Bowl I saw. This year marks the first Playoffs I'll be watching.

Need a coach? The coaches at St. Louis and Tampa Bay both got fired today.

Didn't help that they threw away too many games as well. Many teams did that. If Tennessee didn't lose to Indy they would be the 6 seed, if New York decided at one point to figure out how to protect the Quarterback they may have won more than 8 games.

Gawd, 2, yes TWO missed fumble recoveries :indiff:

What is this 🤬? London Fletcher leads the NFL in TACKLES. And no one else considers him the Defensive Player of the year? Come on. And Brady should be MVP because the Pats without Brady would be just as bad as the Colts. The Packers would still do great with Flynn.

One word... Finally!! :D Colts say bye bye to Bill and Chris Polian. :sly: Irsay has fired both of them as of today. Is Caldwell next? I don't know, but we will see who they get for the General Managers.... Maybe the Big Tuna or Cowher? I can dream right? ;) --- Randy

While London Fletcher has played great this year, how could you overlook Jared Allen's 22 sacks. He is on a horrible team with a horrible defensive line, teams double team him and still can't stop him. For all I'm concerned, he has the NFL single season sack record because Michael Strahan's record breaking sack was given to him. For Brady, the fact the only good teams the Patriots played, Pittsburgh & NY Giants, they lost to both of them. That's going to hurt him a lot.

MVP : Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady (I believe in Matt Flynn... these three teams would be boned without their QBs)
Offensive Player of the Year: Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski
Defensive Player of the Year: Jared Allen, Patrick Willis, Darelle Revis
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Andy Dalton, Cam Newton, Mike Pouncey
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Aldon Smith, JJ Watt, Von Miller
Comeback Player of the Year: Reggie Bush, Matt Moore, Alex Smith
Coach of the Year: Jim Harbaugh. Nobody else is even close.

Wow Jerry Angelo and Mike Martz leaving DA Bears. Read an article that said Angelo lost his job because he couldn't get an O-line to protect Cutler. Martz left because of philosophical differences apparently.

Martz probably resigned to see if he could land a head coaching gig. There are so many spots available that he could easily become an OC anywhere else anyway.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case with Martz. I guess a lot of people didn't see Polian Sr and Jr getting fired. I'll admit I didn't think that was going to happen but looks like Irsay is going to rebuild the team maybe, starting with the front office. His public comments seemed to back Manning for the rest of his career but I wonder how true it will be on draft day.

Well, folks... the playoffs begin today with the Wild Card matches! This will be the first playoffs I'll follow since my Texans are in it. We got the Bengals, and the city of Houston also has playoff fever. Sure want to see how much the Texans can utilize their playoff run.

The road to the Super Bowl begins today! Good luck to all playoff teams.

Just going to reiterate what I said on facebook:

Texans face the Bengals. For Houston to win they need Foster to establish a presence early, so Yates can throw on play-action later on. On defense the Texans need to get to Dalton early and often: BLITZ. BLITZ. AND MORE BLITZ. They need to rattle Dalton, because with a rattled Dalton, it eliminates the Gresham and Shipley factor. If they do this, the Texans will advance.

The Dolphins are interviewing Mike Mularkey.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I hope the Lions pull this one out. I don't want to see the Saints playing at Candlestick Park next week. I'd much prefer to New York again or see what we can do against Atlanta. New Orleans is just scary good offensively at the moment.

I think that San Francisco matches up really nicely with Atlanta. The San Francisco d-line would likely flatten Matt Ryan and take away any effectiveness to be had from Michael Turner. New York is playing really hot right now so they make me a bit leery. I do have to say, New York was also looking really strong the last time San Francisco played them and it was a massacre.

PLAYOFFS!

Yay Texans!!!(They have been my favorite AFC team since they started)

Lions/Saints should be a good one.

*happy dance*

TEXANS WIN! We did it! It was a 31-10 victory for H-Town. Our happiness is great, but now... at Baltimore next weekend. We're probably going to get our lights punched out and our necks wringed at Baltimore, but there's nothing like playing your first postseason game and winning. And damn- Reliant Stadium (I wasn't at the game) was jacked. The "Play of the Game" for me was that pass J.J. Watt picked off for a score. Texans led ever since. Never before have I been jacked about a single game. We actually played like we wanted our season to last for a long time.

On ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption," I think Tony Kornheiser picked 33% we win, and Michael Wilbon said 25% we'd win. We didn't win by dominating every stat, but we took care of business on the scoreboard. We tightened up in the second half on defense and execute better on offense.

Up next is Lions at Saints. Then, there are the games on Sunday. But Texans fans- do your Happy Dance... WE WIN!!! All I know is... if the Jaguars could beat the Ravens, we MIGHT have a chance at the Ravens, where we lost in a blowout.

I'm happy that the Texans got this one. It seems like the only opportunity they have with the Colts being a non-factor (course it'll be a much different landscape in that division next year). This game is sort of a contest as to who's going to get creamed in Baltimore next week anyways (unless Denver somehow wins tomorrow), so I think it means much more to the fans in Houston to win just the one than it does to those in Cincinatti.

Congrats. Enjoy it!

The Cincinnati Bengals have now gone 22 years without a playoff victory (however, they have only made the playoffs twice since then). Their last playoff victory was a 41-14 victory over the Houston Oilers in the 1990 Wild Card Round.

You think it's curtains for Marvin Lewis? They had the team, but they looked terrible against Houston. Secondary fell apart.

The lions/saints game had the worst refs I've ever seen. The saints were holding almost every 🤬 play. I 🤬 hate the saints. We got flagged every play for 🤬 trivial stuff, and the saints offensive line got away with so 🤬 much holding. I hope the 🤬 refs get fired.
In case you can't tell, I'm terribly unhappy.
