NFS Hot Pursuit 3

Try racing me in a serious race and you won't be bored for one bit.

Sure Mate I'll add you later and race whenever you are free but this week I am having Exams so here is what I think of it so far.It really is a mix of great and really bad Offline it doesn't feel that immersive cars rarely feel any different they all drift around in insane speeds I hooked up the G25 for like one corner then played with the DS3 Not a good idea playing an Arcade with a wheel and this one isn't supported well enough. And who is the genius behind Having to restart the whole Race begin scene everytime I restart very annoying. The menus are still very in your face and NFS Carbon like 👎 Free roam is Boring and HP2 had one of the best soundtracks ever in a video game and by far the best intro (maybe behind some of the GT intros)HP3 however has terrible music and intro (only like Edge of the Earth)Thankfully you can use your custom MP3 during online offline races and menus (better implemented than GT5)So Criterion have dodged a bullet there.

So before You get the idea that this game is awful well it isn't I mean NFS's idea for a Slow begginer car is a Porsche Boxter so the car selection ranges from fast very and mind blowing Of course Porsche is very well presented (For some reason :sly: )but some cars on display are  and not to be seen in any game like the Agera the Veyron SS the 918 the One 77 and the freakin last American Viper generation .Oh and although all handle almost identically the sound of them in a tunnel is Just pure Art they got the sound department in the bag something PD have been terrible at.Oh and the best Part is online Autolog isn't helpful with Too many friends in my opinion and why Do I have to go to a website to get my pictures ? but the racing itself is unbelivably fun almost no lag (I have only a 512 connection)unlike in GT5 where I get disconnected More than I play and The Arcade style of it means it is a very nice way to relax after a long GT5 session.

In a way it made me appreciate GT5 more and more (physics and Premium car graphics mainly)but I wanted an Arcade racer that is fun and it really does it's job perfectly 👍 But If you are never going to play online then You might aswell save your money.

IMO, Offline is only as fun as you want it to be...
If you love taking nice photos, you won't be bored of freeroam as that's all it's really good for.
If you like being on the top of speedwalls, then you wouldn't have a problem beating friends.

I think you're being a little too broad when you say all the cars feel the same. There are cars that lug a ton of weight and power that requires virtually 2 seconds to begin drifting while others get into it almost instantly. Some cars can take drifts really sharp while others can't do that at all....

sems4arsenal - I also loved HP2's soundtrack and bought several albums of the bands on it, so I've put them on a custom soundtrack with other songs by those artists.

It's great racing along to Bush, Pulse Ultra, The Buzzhorn and Rush again.

I actually have most of the Soundtrack on my PC never though about putting them on my PS3 (don't know why):D Thanks Sceptic for the idea

Oh and Epic Avatar :sly:

Good lord, a week hiatus really had an effect on my game.. the game feels icky and my driving is icky, and then my reaction is icky.... GT also made my HP game icky :(

Alright gents quick solution needed ,a friend of mine redeemed his code than deleted his account ,now with the new account when he enters the code it says already used now what to do and if I gave him my account password and e-mail might that solve the problem. Thanks in advance for the help gents.

why would your friend make and delete an account?

The code is a voucher for a DLC...which means it's restricted to the console... so it should be fine unless he is trying to redeem it on a new ps3...

Well I found out that redeeming the code on another console using the same account worked for him before (using Fifa that time)but I can't for the life of me figure out the password.Yes it really is daft of him to delete the account having done it before in Fifa :dopey:

You can DL anything from a PSN acct once it's been purchased, on any other ps3 with that same PSN acct active on it. that's how gamesharing works (which you shouldn't be discussing here). So if it doesn't work that doesn't make sense to me, but i understand why it may not work.

Oh well I apologize then .I really can't remember the password anyway so I am afraid there is nothing I can do for him but thanks for your help AOS appreciate it mate.

If anyone who's still playing this game, I take part of a time trial competition amongst a few players in another forum. the OP each monday morning (EST) randomly picks an offline event, and we try to set the best time. Each event runs for one week, no prizes, just friendly competition...PC players cannot join due to the possible chance of outside modifications. Competition is tough, so come join me if you think your skills are up there.

If anyone is interested, PM me.

Just had a 318mb update..... the site said they improved bugs, but's let into the good stuff.. it's 318 mb.... that's DLC right there...

start up career, they flash a spot off to the right called PORSCHE PACK.... not in stores yet, they're just teasing it.

I also heard a Countach and Diablo are making their way into the game as well

Was this a new update just today? I started the game up early yesterday morning and didn't get an update. I love seeing new cars in this game :)

you bet its new. nothing new has been publicly shown off just yet, but the data is in that update..so expect a bunch of new ponies, events and possibly a few new bulls.

WAT, We don't need another one! wasn't 3 already enough to begin with?!

I only heard of the Countach and Diablo

The new pack is Porsche vs. Ferrari. New achievements, Most Wanted Mode, & events as usual.

Porsche's will be 959, 911 Speedster, & 911 Turbo.
Lamborghini's will include Sesto Elemento, Countach, & Diablo. It's not known yet what models the last 2 are.

Well, Criterion Games Twitter said:

Watching the new Gallardo on our local television show, BBC Top Gear. Hope everyone likes the DLC!

I assume they're talking about the Pefile Mounty:

Today EA officially announced the new DLC and it consists of three packs. Full info and trailer below.

2010’s Best Racing Game, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Gets Even Better!

For anyone that has ever fantasized about racing in a Lamborghini or Porsche, or racing around the open world of Seacrest County in up to eight player events, their prayers have been answered with three all-new content packs – Armed and Dangerous, Lamborghini Untamed and Porsche Unleashed – releasing in consecutive weeks. Starting February 22, these content packs will increase the intensity of the ever-popular police chases, superior racing and addictive social competition that Need for Speed™ Hot Pursuit delivers.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: Armed and Dangerous
The first pack, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: Armed and Dangerous, contains two all-new game modes that expand and extend the spectacular online experience. “Most Wanted” is an open world battle where the cops are out to bust a specific racer while the racers battle to protect them, making full use of the open world, weaponry and demanding team tactics. In “Arms Race” it’s every man for himself as racers use their full arsenal of weaponry on each other in ruthless races to the finish. In addition, this pack also contains three new trophies and achievements. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Armed and Dangerous will be available beginning February 22 for £5.49 (560 Microsoft Points) on the PlayStation®Network or Xbox LIVE™ Marketplace.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: Lamborghini Untamed
Lamborghini Untamed adds three of the world’s most famous Lamborghini’s to the game, but with a Need for Speed Hot Pursuit twist; the legendary Lamborghini Diablo SV, Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV and Lamborghini Sesto Elemento will all be playable as both a cop and a racer. In addition to this, the Lamborghini Untamed content pack will include 10 new events and four new trophies and achievements. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Lamborghini Untamed will be available beginning March 1 for £5.49 (560 Microsoft Points) on the PlayStation Network or Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: Porsche Unleashed
The third pack, Porsche Unleashed, continues to add to the already stellar lineup of Porsche cars in the game. Any car enthusiast will be delighted to see the Porsche 911 Turbo (1982 Edition) make its way into the game, along with the Porsche 959 and 911 Speedster. The Porsche 911 Turbo is a high performance tier one car, designed to enable players to go back and reignite their earliest rivalries and beat their friends’ times. Also included in this pack are 10 new events and four new trophies and achievements. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Porsche Unleashed will be available March 8 for £5.49 (560 Microsoft Points) on the PlayStation Network or Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Official release.

Typical EA business plan, but I will still buy the Lamborghini pack.

I would love to buy both the Porsche & Lamborghini pack, but they are so expensive! I'll probably just get the Lamborghini one, brings back the memories from the old HP's! :D

With this said, is no one still interested in participating in the Event of the Week? Someone here must be into the competitive scene...
