Race 1 is manufacture
Race 2 is manufacture
so no tunning in this races
Race 3 is 4.0 restriction with our own cars, tune and vinyls, etc.

I do like your suggestions Steve but it does open up the possibility of someone for example picking a 3.99 Scirocco & a pumped up Carrera. With the amount of trust issues some of the groups had in the past I like the idea of just keeping the manufacturers races just that.

I would actually pay money to be a spectator in Group A's races. I predict theirs going to be some serious good racing and the group is just to close to call. Sure hope HOG can get his problems rectified...

Good point mate, i did not think of that.

Stevo did that, he actually changed he's racing seat into a spectator box.

I was 5th in the last race when I got DC'd by the way ;)
Off topic: Darkos, is that an old picture of Tommi Makinen you have as your avatar?

Yeah I've got an ethernet cable running from my PS3 in my bedroom straight into the BT Homehub down in the living room.

I am so much better than this.

Regardless of my position I had a blast, except for NC bumping me all off the goshdarn track.

I kid. :)

I look forward to finishing up tomorrow.

I had a blast racing with you guys today, I hope good races were had by all. The nring granted my a podium to may surprise. Adddiction and Kemp rocked that race, good job by the you two. In race 3 ricky really put the pressure on my as he walked my gap down and stayed on my bumper for a solid 3 laps, but he couldn't make me crack lol. I'm glad you found a 4.0 car ricky:tup:

Woo, solid 4th places across the board. If I keep this up I may just finish 4th overall!!!

congratulations mate tho i can't help thinking 4th place should of been mine

Yea sorry for the contact, but I think it was the people who hit us from behind is what sent us both off the track.

I agree, that Ford was a bit sluggish compared to the Mazdas.. that and I was driving it like a madman. I know we made contact a few times and I apologize if you went off because of me, it was very close racing with you. Are you good with me taking 4th, or do you want to split the points between 4th and 5th?

i had a ball mate. had a realy rough start i was mowing the grass for ages and trying to stay out of people's way.
ended up last then pulled it together couldn't believe it when i saw the gap between us closing. then carried more speed than you through that complex i had to havve ago. got a bit of a wobble on the landing tho on that left hander that drops down hill.
great run tho mate you should be proud

Yeah, I think at least five of us ended up off the track at that point.

lol yes we did we was side by side a few times and clipped a few times to i backed off a few times to let you have a clean line a avoid carnage followed by a debate.
i think you could of easily avoided me when i passed you on lap 9 a brave or stupid move it may have been but i'v looked at the video and it was clean and anyone in my position would of pulled the same move. they can agree or disagree after watching it. i spun out on lap 14 anyway due to high adrenalin and anger. and as you have been sporting about splitting the points i'l let you off with that theres plenty more races this season and i'm here for fun and clean racing but do get angree sometimes as the video will show lol

Don't worry about the language content or flashes of anger on the video, were use it from the English  Hog's video at the start of Tokyo Circuit still cracks me up :)

lol its more a high rise in attitude than owt else

Ricky you had me fooled all week thinking I was faster then you around BH indy. Nice job on the fastest lap. I could tell you were faster then me on the straights and better then me in corner 2 after the start. Great race.

Well guys classical racing night...had a GREAT TIME again i'd like to thank you all for that.👍

In the ring i knew i didn't had a chance as i raced Manny there several times this week and boy is he fast in that track and darkos was even better doing an astonishing lap time i never even thought was possible...Congrats.👍
It was an exausting race since we pulled 3 laps there instead of two...

My strategy for Spa was avoiding mistakes and try to build on others possible ones...pretty soon in the race i was second behind darkos and managed to stay with him for 6 laps trying to force him to make a mistake but he stood heroic in the lead and takes "Eau Rouge" so much faster then i can and that was decisive to<mantain his league...in lap 7 i decided to back off and grant second place since Manny was behind me and i know is faster but i had a good gap and managed to finish second(good result for me)...

My only shot of winning a race this week was in B.H Indy since i've managed to twinkle a very good tune(yeah on my own... ) for my Golf GTI and i had been doing good races all week inthat track...my main concern was Stevo's PINK Focus ST since the only other guy i watched to manage to drop below the 53 secs was in the other group-adddictions-but i was very lucky as after the restart i ramdomly started in 1st position managed to gain some distance of the pack and breaked my personal record on the 2nd lap...:) i did an almost perfect race doing 13 laps without any mistake and all of them in the 52,xx +/- the only time i went a bit wide it was in the end of the race and Stevo was already at a secure distance...

So i managed 3 podiums which in our group it was much better then i expected...:dunce:

QUALITY racing time guys we ROCK BIG TIME

:lol::lol::lol:

This league just keeping more fun for me every time I line up, today team RickyRacer had it's best showing yet. For me I had a pretty good idea how I'd finish at Nord & SPA but knew I was in for a go with the short track specialist from Hampton Virginia at Brands Hatch.

Race 1 Nordschleife 5th- This race I knew I was in for a A$$ kicking and my only goal was to stay out of everybody's way and not be a deciding factor in the races outcome. I've never had the patience to learn this track and was just hoping to maybe steal a point or two.

Race 2 SPA 1st- This track is one of my favorite tracks and knew I had a chance at winning since I threw down a 220.7 in practice. What surprised me in this race was how fast Kemp rocked the asphalt at SPA. At the end of lap one I come in too hot like an idiot going into the last turn and taped his bumper sending him into the tire wall. After pulling over waiting for him to pass I found myself in dogfight I never expected. He just wouldn't make a mistake over the next 3 laps and was throwing 2.22's at me consistently. On lap 4 he finally made a minor mistake at the bus stop chicane and I finally found myself in the lead. I tried to pore it on but found myself on the edge way to much and changed my strategy to be consistent instead of going for fast lap times.

Race 3 BH Indy 2nd- At the start of the race I found myself in the best case scenario with me being on the pole and the young gunslinger NC2 VA starting 6th. Before the race even started someone got booted and I literally screamed loud enough for Addictions to hear me in Swadlincote! Usually I wouldn't care where I started but I knew NC 2 was lightning on this track and he has quite the secret weapon on the start.

When we came back on the restart I found myself 5th and NC on the front row and cursed another bunch of profanities that would make The Hog blush. I knew it would be an up hill battle from here. After working my way through the pack I finally reeled NC in around lap 7, problem was we were just to close on lap times for me to ever make a clean pass. So my strategy was to stay on him hoping he would make a mistake on the last half of the race where I could make my move. After following him around I could see that just wasn't going to happen so I decided turn 2 was just to dangerous to make a move and turn 4 was to place for it to go down.

On Lap 12 I was inches from his bumper going into turn 4 and dove down and took the low line hoping he would crack. The way I seen it i had nothing to lose, if I caused him to wreak I would let him re-pass me and if I wreaked I would just settle for 2nd since our lead was big enough over 3rd to not sweat a spin. As I dove under him in turn 4 with the low line taking the lead for about a millisecond he taped me coming down from his line at the end of the apex causing me to do a 360. I knew there was a risk in that move but I'd do it all over again if I had the chance. That race was the most fun I ever had and I congratulate NC 2 VA for a victory well earned 👍

Yeah, I'd like to know what that secret weapon is.. he's smoking fast off the line.

A fun but disappointing day for me...

Unfortunately, I ran into the house and sat down not long before the races started, and shortly thereafter my laptop crashed.

  • Even so, the Nordschliefe Race was going pretty well for the first two laps. arvore was behind me by only a couple seconds with darkos third. I think my pulse had started to settle down on lap 2 when darkos passed arvore for second place trailing me by (I think about 3 seconds).
Then, in one of the only places to ever give me a problem in the Scirocco, I laid a rear tire on a curb while braking and spun like a frickin' top. :banghead: Before I could face the car in the right direction again darkos passed me and I knew arvore couldn't be far behind. After a minute of erratic driving (and swearing at myself like something out of The Exorcist), I started to settle down, to try to cut into darkos' 4 second lead. All credit to darkos, as he made no major mistakes and the best I could do was to finish 1.5 seconds behind him at the finish.
All in all probably one of the more memorable races for me since the League was started. Not the best result for me personally of course, but great racing.
  • Spa was an unfortunate race for me, as I drew the back row in the grid. I was following SteveO by about a car length when I saw him lose the back end in the turn at the bottom of the hill and spin into the gravel. I kept going, but the more I thought about it, the more I wondered if I had tapped him out. I hadn't felt anything, but that doesn't mean much in this game. I asked him after the race and he said that I hadn't touched him, so I was glad of that. The rest of the race was full of little mistakes that kept me from getting anywhere near arvore or darkos. So I finished an ugly third.
  • Brands Hatch was a disaster with the same bad slowdown problems I had last Sunday at this track. Not to mention the difficulty I had trying to get past Aldo who always managed to have just enough speed to make a clean pass impossible.👍 :) I think I spent the first half of the race fighting my way out of last place! And all this in a car that was easily capable of 52 second laps. So an ugly 4th for me here...:yuck:
When they occur those slowdown problems really ruin any chance of enjoying this game, and I'm seriously considering trading-in my early copy of the game for one of a later build date in the hope that it will be better.
But all whining aside, a good weekend of racing, and my compliments to HOG who was very patient with all the restarts, breaks and disconnects. Well done man. 👍

Oh and the Brands Hatch Demolition Derby was hysterical. It was almost as brutal as a public lobby!

As always, points results (and as requested), race results, plus next week's races will be posted as soon as I can get to them in the morning.
